"We request all mothers, make your sons who have taken up arms surrender. Anyone who has picked up the gun in Kashmir will be eliminated, unless they surrender," he added.

 The three Jaish terrorists who were killed included Kamran, believed to be a conspirator in the February 14 Pulwama terror attack. Whoever picks up gun in Kashmir will be eliminated, says Indian Army

 India will be urging the global body to ban these fugitives belonging to JeM, <keyword id="6464522" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Indian-Mujahideen">Indian Mujahideen</keyword> (<keyword id="42632" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="IM">IM</keyword>) and <keyword id="45863" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Lashkar-e-Toiba">Lashkar-e-Toiba</keyword> (<keyword id="41305" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="LeT">LeT</keyword>), because of their involvement in the terror attacks that shook the country in the past. 
 Ashgar (42), who is the younger brother of JeM chief <keyword id="164868" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Maulana-Masood-Azhar">Maulana Masood Azhar</keyword>, is suspected to have planned the recent attack at Pathankot air base, which killed 1 civilian and 7 security personnel along with 6 terrorists. Some other names from the list are: IM commander Riyaz Bhatkal, Ansar-ut-Tawahid chief AS Armar, his brother Mohammad Shafi Armar, and Azamgarh resident Mohammad Sajid. 
 
This ban will restrict the movement of these suspects as they won’t be able to freely travel, their assets would be frozen, and financial penalties would be imposed on them, an official told ET. 
 As per ET sources, the final approval for the list would be given by Home minister <keyword id="6355121" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Rajnath-Singh">Rajnath Singh</keyword> and it would then be communicated to the UN through the external affairs ministry. 
 
Even though some intelligence agencies say that Sultan and Sajid died in Syria, there exists a a red corner notice by the Interpol, claiming that they are very much alive and active.

India to approach UN to ban JeM chief and 11 other terrorists

<img class="gwt-Image" src="/photo/50464558.cms" /> The recent attack on the Pathankot air base has brought the terror group <keyword id="205704" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Jaish-e-Mohammad">Jaish-e-Mohammad</keyword> (<keyword id="6399588" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Jem">JeM</keyword>) back in limelight, which is led by <keyword id="164868" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Maulana-Masood-Azhar">Maulana Masood Azhar</keyword> and has also been accused of the 2001 Parliament attacks. 
 
Owing to its terrorist activities, United Nations had in the past attempted to ban the JeM, but couldn’t do so because of China's stubbornness on the matter at the request of Pakistan. 
 
JeM has been announced a terrorist organisation in several countries like Australia, Canada, India, the UAE, the UK and the US. 
 In 2009, India had requested the <keyword id="55859" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="UN-Security-Council">UN Security Council</keyword> to ban Azhar but China, which happens to be one of the five permanent members of the group with Veto Powers, didn’t allow the ban. This was perhaps at the request of Pakistan, from where the organisation operates. 
This happened despite the then UPA government providing all the detailed information, about Azhar's involvement in terror activities in India, to China. 
 
However, China argued that the information wasn’t sufficient enough to establish Azhar's involvement in terrorism, as per ET. 
 In 2010, India's request to name Azhar, and <keyword id="218693" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Abdur-Rehman-Makki">Abdur Rehman Makki</keyword> and <keyword id="234365" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Azam-Cheema">Azam Cheema</keyword> of Lashkar on the 1267 sanctions list of the UN was also put on "technical hold" by China. 
 This is not the only case when China didn’t support India in its fight against terrorism. Last year, China had blocked India’s effort to question Pakistan at the <keyword id="45167" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="UNSC">UNSC</keyword> (as per resolution 1267). The questioning was to be done over the release of <keyword id="147423" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Zaki-ur-Rehman-Lakhvi">Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi</keyword>, the <keyword id="41305" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="LeT">LeT</keyword> commander and the brain behind 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. The same “insufficient information" alibi was used in this matter as well. 
 Also, Beijing has thrice blocked India's bids to get <keyword id="44125" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Jamaat-ud-Dawa">Jamaat-ud-Dawa</keyword> added to the UNSC terror list, which was finally done in December 2008. Not only this, China also stalled India's effort to get <keyword id="50913" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Hizbul-Mujahideen">Hizbul Mujahideen</keyword>'s <keyword id="105621" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Syed-Salahuddin">Syed Salahuddin</keyword> added to the 1267 sanctions list early last year.

China isn’t agreeing to UN’s attempt to ban Masood Azhar, one of India’s most wanted terrorists!

It's suffice to say that the show has garnered quite a bit of attention, considering it is a chilling reminder of the harrowing, 8-day-long Indian Airlines flight hijack that eventually ended in the Taliban-controlled territory of Kandahar. The star-studded cast, which included <keyword id="19901508" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="vijay-varma" source="keywords">Vijay Varma</keyword>, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Aravind Swamy and Dia Mirza, the supporting cast and the show's makers did a phenomenal job in stitching together a gripping narrative around what went on during the 1999 hijack. We get to see a representation of the brave captain, five disconcerting hijackers and the only casualty from the hijack, Rupin Katyal, as Rupesh, among others. The hijackers addressed one another as Chief, Doctor, Burger, Bhola and Shankar, as per the Union home minister's statement, published on January 6, 2006. The same names have been used in the series that has sparked a fresh controversy now with some netizens accusing the makers of hiding the real names of the terrorists: Ibrahim Athar, Sunny Ahmed Qazi, Zahoor Ibrahim, Shahid Akhter and Sayed Shakir. Amid all this controversy, one key detail that the show missed has failed to get any spotlight! <div type="Article" hostid="261" msid="112990033" title="I&amp;amp;B Ministry summons Netflix India&amp;#39;s head of content over &amp;#39;IC 814&amp;#39; web series" mstype="2" mssubtype="0"></div> <h2>Omission by choice?</h2>For those who remember the entire hijack episode when it happened, the show IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack may feel incomplete as it failed to highlight one key element. On the show, there was one white passenger who demanded to be seated in the business class even as the armed men threatened to harm him and were later subjected to plenty of torment by the hijackers. While the show didn’t name him as such, it did lead us to wonder if that character was a reference to <keyword id="23021199" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Roberto-Giori" source="keywords">Roberto Giori</keyword> — a special passenger on IC 814 who might’ve played a huge role in mounting international pressure on the Indian government’s to release three prisoners from Indian jails. Roberto Giori was a Swiss-Italian businessman whose influence in global finance added a crucial dimension to the crisis. Giori, the then owner of De La Rue Giori, controlled 90% of the world’s currency-printing business, making him a <keyword id="23021200" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="high-profile-hostage" source="keywords">high-profile hostage</keyword>. Giori was returning from a holiday in Kathmandu with his companion, Cristina Calabresi, when the plane was hijacked by five armed men from the Harkat-ul-Mujahideen terrorist group, TIME <a href="https://time.com/archive/6954850/who-was-that-special-passenger/">reported</a> in 2000. “At one point during the eight-day hijacking of <keyword id="20779541" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-Airlines-Flight-814" source="keywords">Indian Airlines Flight 814</keyword>, the abductors demanded $200 million from the Indian government. Little did they know that one of the hostages could have effortlessly written them a check for that amount,” said the TIME. <h2>A high-profile hostage</h2>The flight’s descent into chaos saw all passengers experience extreme duress, including threats to their lives, substandard living conditions and constant psychological pressure. Missing link in IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack had one “very important” European passenger — one the Netflix show surprisingly didn’t highlight

A year after the two-month border skirmish, the Modi administration is all set to sign India’s first ever security cooperation pact with China. According to a report by the Press Trust of India, China’s Minister of Public Security, Zhao Kezhi, will sit down with Rajnath Singh, the Union Home Minister, in New Delhi today to sign the bilateral agreement. The pact will cover a number of areas, including but not limited to counter-terrorism operations, drug and human trafficking, strategic intelligence sharing, natural disaster mitigation as well as China’s infrastructure development activities in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK). Kezhi will also meet Ajit Doval, India’s National Security Advisor, to discuss certain aspects of the agreement. The pact could portend a future treaty on the exchange of prisoners. All will not be smooth sailing, however. India is likely to raise a number of contentious issues with China. Firstly, it will try and establish a consensus on the placement of Maulana Masood Azhar, the head of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) - a terrorist outfit in <keyword id="3001" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Pakistan">Pakistan</keyword> aimed at taking back <keyword id="6354495" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="kashmir">Kashmir</keyword>), on the UN sanctions list. It will also cover the China’s practice of granting stapled visas to residents of disputed areas in Arunachal Pradesh. There will, however, be no mention of the line of control or border disputes. The agreement has reportedly been in the works since 2015, undergoing multiple amendments based on objections raised by both sides. It was given a renewed impetus in April this year after India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping at an informal summit in <keyword id="208994" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Wuhan">Wuhan</keyword>. As China takes a larger role in <keyword id="52011" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="South-Asia">South Asia</keyword>, it has also solicited India’s help in working in other countries. Earlier this month, India and China started a programme <a href="https://in.reuters.com/article/india-china-afghanistan/india-china-launch-joint-training-for-afghanistan-plan-more-projects-idINKCN1MP1KB">to jointly train Afghan diplomats</a>. India and China are set to sign their first ever security cooperation agreement today

Both the sides will explore counter-terror cooperation against the growth and spread of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=islamic+state&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Islamic State</a>. 
 
The Chinese minister’s visit is viewed as an effort to soothe India’s wounds after China blocked its entry into the coveted Nuclear Supplier's Group. 
 Meanwhile, India and China will discuss global terror including the region in the backdrop of penetration of <keyword id="304620" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Islamic-State">Islamic State</keyword> in restive Xinjiang province of China, people familiar with the developments told ET. 
 
However, ET reported Singh will indulge in some plain speaking and urge Guo for ale Beijing's policy of opposing Delhi's move for a UN ban on Maulana Masood Azhar, JeM Chief and Zaki ur Rehman Lakhvi of Lashkar-e-Tayyiba -- both based in Pakistan, an all weather ally of Beijing. 
 
Earlier this year China once again vetoed India's move in the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=UN+Security+Council&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">UN Security Council</a> to ban Azhar. China was the only country that opposed notwithstanding support from rest 14 members of the council. 
 
They are also going to launch India-China "High Level Mechanism" for cooperation on internal security, according to government sources. 
Singh and Guo could also discuss issues like poverty, unemployment and underdevelopment that also fuel terror and share perspectives on de-radicalization measures.

Chinese minister to visit India for Confidence Building Measure, soothe NSG wounds

Since then Maulana has led many anti-India operations, including the attack on the Indian parliament in 2001.

Top 5 most wanted terrorists in India that still roam free

A fresh grenade blast claimed the life of an <keyword id="44790" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="NSG">NSG</keyword> commando, as three others succumbed to injuries in a hospital, taking the toll of Indian security personnel to seven since yesterday’s firing. 
 
Lt Col Niranjan, a member of the NSG's Bomb Disposal Squad, was killed while he was defusing the grenade at the scene of the terror attack as part of the combing operations that continued through the night. Four other security men were also injured in the blast. 
 
Defence sources said Niranjan, a resident of Kerala, was killed while trying to retrieve the grenade from the body of a dead terrorist. 
 
Three members of the Defence Security Corps (DSC) succumbed to injuries in the hospital here during the night. Home Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted: "Pained to know about the demise of Lt Col Niranjan of NSG during mopping up operations in <keyword id="6367205" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Pathankot">Pathankot</keyword>. The nation salutes his sacrifice." 
 
Four attackers, a Garud commando and three DSC were killed yesterday when heavily-armed Pakistani terrorists had attempted to storm the base, triggering a day-long gunbattle at the airbase, barely 35 kms from the Indo-Pak border. 
 
Among those battling for their lives in the hospital are 8 DSC personnel and a Garud commando. 
 
Meanwhile, the joint combing operation was still underway, a police official said, adding that the NIA had taken over the probe into the terror incident. Some senior officials of the Punjab Police led by DGP Suresh Arora are also present here. The official said the operation will end only after a thorough search, going on inside the <keyword id="6355075" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="IAF">IAF</keyword> base and nearby areas, was completed. 
 
Various security agencies, including the Army, Indian Air Force, Central forces and Punjab Police were involved in the joint operation. 
 
A large cache of arms and ammunition have already been recovered during the sanitisation and search operations. 
 
IAF helicopters were also seen flying over the base and nearby areas to assist the ground forces in the operations. 
 
In the wee hours yesterday, the group of terrorists in army fatigues had attempted to storm the base with the obvious intent of destroying MiG-21 fighter jets and MI-25 attack helicopters housed there. The attackers were believed to have infiltrated from Pakistan and there was speculation that they may belong to Jaish-e-Mohammad headed Maulana Masood Azhar of the Kandahar hijack episode. 
 
The terrorists were carrying Under Barrel Grenade Launchers, 52 mm mortars, AK rifles and GPS machine. 
 
Based on intercepts, security agencies believe that one Nazeer from Bahawalpur in Pakistan was leading the group. 
Defence sources said the terrorists sneaked into the nearly 2000-acre air base through a forested area where they were confronted by the Quick Reaction Team of Garud commandos. They managed to go up to 400 metres but were still 700 metres away from the area where the IAF aircraft fighters were stationed.
