<ul><li>The celebrity judges of <keyword id="835074" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Masterchef-Australia">Masterchef Australia</keyword> <keyword id="738807" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Matt-Preston">Matt Preston</keyword>, <keyword id="1426431" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Gary-Mehigan">Gary Mehigan</keyword> and <keyword id="1426432" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="George-Calombaris">George Calombaris</keyword> are leaving the show. </li><li>The judges are leaving after being on the show for 11 seasons. </li><li>The move comes in after Calombaris was accused and fined for underpaying his staff by $8 million.</li></ul>Arguably, the world’s most popular cooking reality show Masterchef Australia has bid adieu to its celebrity judges Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris. The show has gained immense popularity in India, that an Indian version was created called Masterchef India. The judges who are celebrity chefs themselves, had become synonymous with the show, which had a dream run for 11 seasons. They not only assess the contestants and the quality of their food, but also entertain the audience with quirky comments. More importantly, they introduce the audience to the finer points of gourmet food, an aspect which found a sweet spot with its Indian fanbase. On an instagram post, Masterchef Australia wrote, “After 11 sensational seasons, we bid a fond farewell to our judges - Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris. For more than a decade, #MasterChefAU has celebrated Australian food and made the culinary dreams of everyday home cooks come true. We thank Matt, George and Gary for being a part of this remarkable MasterChef legacy!” This move comes after a scandal hit one of the judges, <a href="https://indianexpress.com/article/lifestyle/food-wine/masterchef-australia-judge-george-calombaris-underpayment-scandal-8-million-controversy-5841690/">George Calombaris</a>. He was fined for allegedly underpaying his employees by almost $8 million. The judges have also often travelled to India for collaboration, given their popularity with the Indian audience. Many Indian origin chefs have made their way to the Australian show as well. Gary Mehigan, yet another judge from the show, has travelled to India, and also did shows with Pooja Dhingra, the owner of Le15 cafe. Mehigan also has a partnership with Indian e-commerce startup Nicobar for their cookware line.

She's currently on BBC's "Strictly Come Dancing" dance competition, has made several appearances on "MasterChef" hosted by her dad, and she's also a contestant on this season of "Celebrity MasterChef Australia."Though she's revered as a young chef, Tilly shared a surprising tidbit with her "MasterChef" peers on the most recent episode, which aired on Monday night in Australia: She said she's not allowed in her dad's highest-decorated restaurants."I'm not even allowed in my dad's Michelin-star restaurants so I don't know what to do," she said during Monday night's episode as the contestants talked through their upcoming challenge of emulating dishes that would be on a five-course tasting menu, according to the <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-10200369/Tilly-Ramsay-reveals-shes-not-allowed-dad-Gordons-Michelin-star-restaurants.html">Daily Mail</a>.Tilly's peers were surprised and questioned whether she was making a joke. I've been once."Though she said hasn't spent much time in fine-dining settings, her egg yolk ravioli ended up landing her a spot in the top three.Despite not having been inside many of her father's restaurants, the 20-year-old reality TV star has spent plenty of time with her dad outside of the kitchen. The Michelin-star chef and TV personality told Insider in a December interview that Tilly introduced him to TikTok, where he now has 29.4 million followers and is <a href="https://www.insider.com/gordon-ramsay-reacts-worst-tiktok-cooking-videos-he-critiqued-roasted-2021-1">the self-proclaimed judge of all things food</a>. The father-daughter duo have become known for their dances and comedic videos on the app. He is famously protective of <a href="https://www.insider.com/gordon-ramsay-daughters-love-his-gigi-hadid-friendship-2020-12">his three daughters</a>, Tilly, Holly Anna (21), and Megan (23). Thirty-eight-year-old chef <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=ranveer+brar&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Ranveer Brar</a>, who is best known for judging <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=masterchef+india&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Masterchef India</a>, hosting various TV shows including Food Tripping and Breakfast Xpress, is now taking social media by storm with his new culinary project. 
 In what is a first for an <keyword id="510530" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Indian-chef">Indian chef</keyword>, Brar is premiering the first season of his one-of-a-kind food and travel video show titled <keyword id="3513659" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="RanveerOnTheRoad">#RanveerOnTheRoad</keyword> on <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=twitter&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Twitter.</a> 
 
This season will see Brar travelling through <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=australia&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Australia </a>and discovering local cuisine and their legacy for his viewers. 
 The show which is in collaboration with <keyword id="749437" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Twitter-India">Twitter India</keyword> and Tourism Australia will consist of a total of 40 episodes, each not more than three minutes long, spread through a period of 15 weeks. 
 
“I want to share my joy of travel and discovery through the show. The idea is to showcase unseen, unheard aspects of places and people through a chef's eyes,” said Brar, while describing what he aims to achieve from the show. 
 From bustling markets in <keyword id="11008" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Adelaide">Adelaide</keyword> and <keyword id="5629" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sydney">Sydney</keyword>, to sipping wines at the vineyards of <keyword id="449992" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Barossa-Valley">Barossa Valley</keyword>, each episode will unearth a hidden food story that’s as much about gastronomy, flavours and history, as it is about the heart and soul of the place and the people behind them. 
 
These bite-sized videos will be tweeted by Brar to his whopping 347k followers every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 am starting from July 21. The chef will also be online for half an hour after the launch of every episode to answer his followers’ queries and share behind-the-scenes stories from the destination and its people.

On the decision behind choosing Australia for the first season, Brar said that it was ‘the diversity, the produce and the respect for ingredients’ that stood out for him. In the first season, he will also be seen talking to <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=masterchef+australia&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Masterchef Australia</a> judge Matt Preston and cooking with the runner-up of Season 1 of the show, Poh Ling Yeow. 
 
Infact, Brar is excited to give his viewers some memorable food and wine stories, intense conversations around food and an extensive study of Australian food. 
 Echoing his sentiments, <keyword id="3513661" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Keya-Madhvani">Keya Madhvani</keyword>, Head of Lifestyle and Culture Partnerships, Twitter India says the micro-blogging site enjoys collaborating with Brar to bring interesting content on the platform.

“We first worked with chef Ranveer earlier this year in March for the #TasteOfAus trip to Australia in collaboration with Tourism Australia. He sees phenomenal engagement and enthusiasm on Twitter with his 300,000+ followers and fans, so we worked with him to fine-tune this concept of a video food and travel show, and it has finally come together in an incredibly unique and compelling way. This is a first of its kind experiment across the globe, as far as an episodic video show on Twitter goes, and it’s something we’re very excited about,” she added. 
 
Elaborating on the reason behind launching this first-of-a-kind Twitter video food show, Madhvani states that though tweets can say a lot in 140 characters, but videos can say even more- especially with food. 
 
“In the last year, video consumption on Twitter in India has grown by 400%, and globally we’ve seen a 150x increase of people sharing video on the platform- so the timing made sense.”

Thirty-nine year old <keyword id="3186753" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Priya-Barve">Priya Barve</keyword> was vacationing in Bali when the call for the <keyword id="3186752" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Masterchef-Asia">Masterchef Asia</keyword> auditions came in. If it was a year back, she wouldn’t even have thought of applying, but ‘the holiday mood’ became her co-conspirator and there she was- applying for a spot in the <keyword id="6374580" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="80" keywordseo="Masterchef">Masterchef</keyword> Asia kitchen. 
 
Barve, who’s been living in Singapore for the past five years picked up the love for cooking while watching her Mahgarshtrian mother and grandmother cook delicious traditional dishes, but she seriously pursued it after marriage. 
 Before moving to Singapore, Barve lived in Hong Kong with her husband, a Bengali and a fellow cooking enthusiast and it was then that she found herself inclined towards various other styles of <keyword id="3186754" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Asian-cooking">Asian cooking</keyword>. 
 
“I picked up Japanese cuisine while in Hong Kong, which is a culinary paradise. Now, I try to mix Thai and Vietnamese influences in my food,” she said in an interview with Hindustan Times. However, she also plans to include lots of Indian influences while showcasing her style of cooking on the show. 
 
According to her, when the realization dawned on her that she will be the only one representing India on the show, she felt excited and nervous at the same time. 
 Apart from Barve, Masterchef Asia will see participants from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam and will feature cooking challenges similar to Masterchef’s other variants and is judged by Hong Kong-born Susur Lee, three-Michelin-starred Bruno Ménard and Audra Morrice, a MasterChef Australia finalist, who will be assisted Indian chef <keyword id="1988490" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Gaggan-Anand">Gaggan Anand</keyword> and Singaporean pastry chef Janice Wong.
