Greater Noida, Feb 7 () Maruti Suzuki on Friday launched the BS VI-compliant version of its multi purpose vehicle Ertiga in CNG, priced at Rs 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi) here. Ertiga S-CNG, which offers a mileage of 28.06 km/kg is second BS VI compliant S-CNG vehicle and the only MPV with factory-fitted CNG in the country, from Maruti Suzuki, the company said. "Ertiga has been a market leader amongst MPVs, and the introduction of BS6 S-CNG will further help augment its leadership in the segment, " Maruti Suzuki India Limited's director for sales and marketing, Shashank Shrivastava said. The company has sold over 5.28 lakh units of Ertiga since its launch in India in 2012.Being the first company to introduce factory-fitted CNG cars in the country, Maruti Suzuki owns the largest portfolio of green vehicles, he said. The launch of S-CNG vehicle range is aligned to and complements the Government's vision of reducing oil import and enhancing the share of natural gas in the energy basket of the country from 6.2 per cent now to 15 per cent by 2030, the company said. New Delhi, Maruti Suzuki India on Friday said it is recalling 7,213 units of its Baleno RS model due to a suspected defect in vacuum pump, which assists brake function. The recall will impact vehicles manufactured between October 27, 2016 and November 1, 2019, Maruti Suzuki India said in a regulatory filing. "It is suspected that there is a possible defect in vacuum pump, which assists the brake function. In a rare case, the affected vehicle may require increased effort in brake pedal application," it said. Affected vehicle owners will be receiving communication from Maruti Suzuki authorised dealer workshops for replacement of the defective parts, free of cost, the company said. In a post on its website, Maruti Suzuki India also said it would be undertaking a service campaign for 676 vehicles of Ertiga and XL6 model manufactured between June 24, 2022 and July 7, 2022 for suspected issue in front driveshaft, which in a rare case may generate a peculiar noise while turning the vehicle but does not impact the functioning. In January this year, the company had recalled 17,362 units of models Alto K10, S-Presso, Eeco, Brezza, Baleno and Grand Vitara to replace faulty airbag controller. The affected were manufactured between December 8, 2022 and January 12, 2023.

The company said it has tied up with ORIX Auto Infrastructure Services Ltd, a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation, Japan, to launch the subscription service in India. The subscription service will begin as a pilot project in Gurugram and Bengaluru and will be initially available on Swift, Dzire, Vitara Brezza and Ertiga from Maruti Suzuki ARENA Channel and Baleno, Ciaz and XL6 from NEXA Channel, the company said in a regulatory filing. Maruti <keyword id="1500649" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Suzuki-India">Suzuki India</keyword> joins rival <keyword id="108829" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hyundai-Motor-India">Hyundai Motor India</keyword>, which had last year launched its subscription model initially in six cities across India as part of its partnership with self-drive car-sharing firm Revv. Similarly, MG Motor India also offers its subscription services through a strategic tie-up with Myles, the car sharing and car subscription company from Carzonrent. In May this year, German car maker Volkswagen had also launched its car-leasing schemes allowing customers to lease all BS-VI compliant cars in its portfolio with a minimum lock-in period ranging from 2-4 years. Maruti Suzuki launches vehicle lease subscription service

New Delhi, Mar 16 () Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Monday said it will now sell Tour range of models from its commercial sales network, which currently retail just two models -- light commercial vehicle Super Carry and Eeco van. The company's commercial network will now also sell the extensive Tour range of vehicles -- Tour H1 (Alto), Tour H2 (Celerio), Tour S (Dzire), Tour V (Eeco) and Tour M (Ertiga), MSI said in a statement. MSI used to sell the Tour range from its Arena network earlier. The auto major had forayed into the commercial segment in September 2016 with Super Carry. With a 240 per cent growth in the past three years, the inclusion of Tour range will help further strengthen Maruti Suzuki commercial network, MSI said. "The expanding commercial network is a testimony to our focus on customer satisfaction and establishes our expertise in understanding the needs of the customers. Our customer first commercial range approach has contributed to mass acceptance of the brand resulting three times growth in network," MSI Executive Director (Marketing &amp; Sales) Shashank Srivastava said. With an enhanced portfolio of Super Carry, Eeco and Tour range available via commercial network, the company is confident that it will also help dealer partners, he added.
