It believes that it can bring in efficiency and transparency, as the device can record every stroke of the pen. ‘Zero data loss’ The entire process of writing and evaluation will not use paper. This solution can be extended to objective and descriptive exams as well. Their device works in sync with PEXA software ecosystem which can streamline the entire process of examination. The device records all the semester exams and tracks all the impressions on the DigiTaal while writing answers. “We conducted over 1.5 million paperless exams with zero loss of data. In the process, we helped save 20 million sheets of paper,” Srikanth Ganesan, Founder, LittleMore Innovation Labs <a href="https://www.financialexpress.com/education-2/voting-has-gone-paperless-exams-should-too-srikanth-ganeshan/1658938/">told </a>Financial Express. Paperless exams at 6 institutes saved 20 million sheets of paper, and can save more

New Delhi, Nov 28 () Healthcare industry body NATHEALTH on Thursday said it is working closely with the government to achieve the vision of providing universal health coverage in the country.
The body also suggested that corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds could be used to push the critical segments such as preventive health, skilling and digital technologies.
"We are working very closely with the government because unless we work together, universal health coverage to masses is just not going to happen," NATHEALTH President and Manipal Health Enterprises Chairman Sudarshan Ballal told reporters here.
He was speaking at the 6th Annual Summit of the NATHEALTH on the theme of 'Reimagining Collaboration to Strengthen India's Healthcare Growth Trajectory'.
The government and industry need to work together to realize the Prime Minister's vision of Health for All, he added.
Ballal also said that for transparency and ethical practices in the healthcare sector "we believe that we should have a code of ethics. Indian Medical Association (IMA), Ficci and many others have worked on this and we at NATHEALTH would like to facilitate so that the code of ethics is followed".
He also said that NATHEALTH would like to make India as a 'healthcare destination of the world'.
NATHEALTH Senior Vice President and Apollo Hospitals Group Vice Chairperson Preetha Reddy said: "Healthcare today is at an inflection point".
Both, the government and private sector have to work together to ensure that healthcare is accessible to the entire population of the country, she added.
More than anything else, "we need a world class brand for India and for that we have to give high quality good outcomes, so that the rest of world looks at India. There is a potential for people from other countries to come to India for healthcare, we just have to do more about it," Reddy said.
The importance for building trust between investors, policy makers and people seeking care - whether from India or from outside - cannot be undermined, she added.
The industry body also said it is willing to pool industry CSR and work with the government and development sector partners to test innovative delivery models and create replicable pathways for scale. AKT BAL

The duration of the internship programme is two years, which will help freshers to have a deeper understanding of banking, business communication, financial planning and wealth management. The last date to apply for this internship programme is October 23. Federal bank has partnered with Manipal Global Education Services (MaGE), which will help the interns with relevant domain knowledge while experiencing retail banking. Interns would be offered a monthly stipend of ₹27,500 and also an opportunity to earn incentives up to ₹20,000 per month based on internship grades. The interns will also be offered personal accident coverage of ₹2,00,000 and medical insurance coverage of ₹2,00,000. On successful completion of the programme, the participant will also be awarded with a post graduate diploma certificate in banking from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The selection process involves four rounds — online aptitude assessment, group discussion, robotic interview and final interview. The date for online aptitude assessment is tentatively November 7. The 80 minutes test comprises five sections -- English/verbal ability, quantitative ability, logical reasoning, general awareness, and sales awareness. There will be negative marks of 0.25 for each wrong answer. The online test will be followed by a psychometric questionnaire for a maximum duration of 15 minutes. Candidates who are shortlisted shall pay a learning fees of ₹1,00,000 plus taxes to get admission in the internship programme. After completing the internship programme, two interns with top internship grades will be offered a full time role with the bank as probationary officer in retail banking subject to good conduct. The learning fees paid by the interns, who will be offered full-time roles, will be reimbursed. New Delhi, Nov 27 () Samsung on Wednesday said it will hire around 1,200 engineering graduates this year from India's premier institutions, such as IITs, NITs and IISc, for its research and development (R&amp;D) centres in the country.
 The company plans to hire engineers for its R&amp;D centres in Bengaluru, Noida and Delhi, and these employees will work on domains such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, image processing, cloud, internet of things, recognition systems, data analysis, OnDevice AI, mobile communications, networks, and user interface and user experience.
 Samsung will hire students from multiple streams including computer science, electronics and communications, electrical engineering, mathematics and computing, instrumentation and information technology, the company said in a statement.
 "This year, we plan to hire over 1,200 engineers and have already extended 340 PPOs (pre-placement offers) to engineers at IITs and other top institutions," Samsung India Head (Human Resources) Sameer Wadhawan said.
 PPOs are made in advance and the student joins the company after the completion of his or her course.
 Samsung, which had previously announced that it will hire 2,500 engineers by 2020, has already onboarded 1,000 engineers each in 2017 and 2018.
 For this year's hiring, the South Korean electronics major is looking at hiring from Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in Delhi, Kanpur, Mumbai, Chennai, Guwahati, Kharagpur, BHU, Roorkie, Pallakad, Tirupati, Indore, Gandhinagar, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Mandi, Jodhpur and Bhilai.
 The company will also explore tapping into talent from other top engineering colleges such as BITS Pilani, IIITs, National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Delhi Technological University, Manipal Institute of Technology and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore.

China agreed to a UN Security Council push to blacklist Pakistan-based terrorist <keyword id="6459729" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="masood-azhar">Masood Azhar</keyword>, head of Pakistan-based group Jaish-e-Mohammad, in a breakthrough for India-China relations. Beijing's decision, ending a decade of opposition, came after India stepped up diplomatic efforts to convince the Chinese government that Azhar should be labelled a terrorist following a deadly terror attack in the disputed territory of Kashmir in February. Following China's approval, the UN will issue a travel ban and arms embargo against Azhar. The move will also freeze his finances and assets. Jaish-e-Mohammad, also known as JeM, claimed responsibility for a suicide attack in Kashmir's Pulwama district which killed 40 Indian troops. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping "have developed a chemistry of trust with each other" since their meeting in Wuhan a year ago, said Madhav Nalapat, a professor of geopolitics at India's Manipal University. Beijing's approval of the UN sanctions "would be a win not for India or China but for the global war on terror", Nalapat said soon before Beijing's decision was announced. "Terrorists have neither a religion or a nationality, and should be opposed by all countries unitedly and in co-ordination." China, a permanent member of the Security Council, blocked the assembly's move to sanction Azhar in 2016 and 2017. India first proposed the sanctions in 2009. The US, France and Britain put forward the proposal again in March.
