Golden Globe’s award ceremony yesterday started as any other award ceremonies. She has been awarded for a lifetime of notable work. In her speech, while receiving Cecil B. DeMille Award, <keyword id="36523" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Streep">Streep</keyword> took the opportunity to take a dig at the US President elect <keyword id="6354484" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Donald-Trump">Donald Trump</keyword>, who had earlier mocked a disabled reporter during his campaign period. The victim is <keyword id="53556" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="New-York-Times">New York Times</keyword> reporter <keyword id="3151823" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Serge-Kovaleski">Serge Kovaleski</keyword>, suffering from a condition that affects his joint movements. 
 
In her powerful speech, Streep said, "It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter. Someone he outranked in privilege, power and the capacity to fight back." 
 Hours after her speech, she was trending throughout social media and netizens applauding her bravery. Some even went further to question why can’t <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword> award nights be this gutsy!

Before we ask our actors to speak revolutionarily, more education is needed for the countrymen and the people who run the nation. We need to be more receptive to views that we don’t agree to and stop interfere in other people’s matter. And after we have successfully achieved the level of ‘tolerant’ Indians, we can ask the taxpaying actors to be our perfect role models.

Why can't Bollywood have Meryl Streep like opinions on its award ceremonies?

We saw the teaser of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/The-10-most-anticipated-Bollywood-movies-you-should-watch-out-for/articleshow/54976981.cms">Raees</a> almost a year ago and it left us wanting for more. Seeing <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=srk&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Shah Rukh Khan</a> play a ruthless gangster (and his age) and look menacing instead of dolling out his usual romantic fare was a refreshing change to say the least. 
 
And, now after months and months of waiting, we finally have the teaser and the release date of the film inching close. 
 <keyword id="6361860" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Raees">Raees</keyword> stars <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=nawazuddin+siddiqui&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Nawazuddin Siddiqui </a>and newcomer <keyword id="701143" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mahira-Khan">Mahira Khan</keyword> and if the trailer is anything to go by, it's safe to assume that the film is going to be laden with masala. 
 Set in the 1980s, the film is based on the life of Gujarati gangster, Abdul Latif Shaikh. <keyword id="1379" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="king-khan">King Khan</keyword> plays Raees aka Miyaan bhai, a bootlegger in the film. Siddiqui plays a police officer who has taken it upon himself to imprison Raees and bring him to justice. Think, smashing chases between two of the finest actors in <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword>. Are you excited? Because you definitely should be. 
 
Pakistani actress Mahira Khan plays Khan's love-interest. Oh, and before we forget, the film also has an item song by none other than <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/These-are-the-10-most-searched-Indian-actresses-in-2016/articleshow/55807812.cms">Sunny Leone</a>, who also makes an appearance in the trailer. 
 
Raees is directed by Rahul Dholakia and is set to hit theatres on January 25. (Can the day come any faster?)

As per some reports, the movie is titled The Ring, and would feature Khan as Harinder Singh Nehra, a Punjabi tour guide who will fall in love with one of his Gujarati tourists, played by Sharma. While most of the movie would be shot in Europe, some parts of it would also be shot in Punjab, the state where Khan’s character belongs to. 
 
Shah Rukh, who is known to have a hard time trying to kick the butt, couldn’t stop himself from puffing one up during the shooting.

SRK starts shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s next, shares pics from Prague

The last time we saw Sunny Leone on the silver screen was when she appeared in a double role in the failed sex comedy Mastizaade, after two not so successful movies Ek Paheli Leela and Kuch Kuch Locha Hai. However, looks like a failure is not going to stop the actress from marching ahead in the world of <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword>. 
 Her latest assignment has come from none other than the Baadshah of Bollywood, <keyword id="1671" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shah-Rukh-Khan">Shah Rukh Khan</keyword>, who reportedly wants Sunny to do an item number in his upcoming movie <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Raees-teaser-How-Shah-Rukh-Khan-loves-to-tease-his-fans/articleshow/48109350.cms">Raees</a>. 
 Directed by Rahul Dholakia and co-starring Pakistani actress <keyword id="701143" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mahira-Khan">Mahira Khan</keyword>, Raees is loosely based on the life of Gujarati illicit liquor business tycoon Abdul Latif, and is slated to release <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Salman-Khan-avoids-Box-office-clash-with-good-friend-Shah-Rukh-Khan/articleshow/48265347.cms">around Diwali this year</a>.

Is Bollywood finally accepting Sunny Leone?

<keyword id="1671" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shah-Rukh-Khan">Shah Rukh Khan</keyword>’s upcoming movie <keyword id="6361860" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Raees">Raees</keyword>, which is said to be loosely based on the life of Gujarati illicit liquor business tycoon Abdul Latif, has once again run into troubled times. 
 
If reports are to be believed, Latif’s son Mustak Ahmed Abdul Latif Shaikh has sent legal notices to the makers and actors of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Raees-teaser-How-Shah-Rukh-Khan-loves-to-tease-his-fans/articleshow/48109350.cms" target="_BLANK￿￿￿￿">Raees</a>, including Shah Rukh Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ritesh Sidhwani and director <keyword id="33868" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Rahul-Dholakia">Rahul Dholakia</keyword>. In the notice, he has asked why they are making a film on his father’s life without his consent. 
 
Sheikh thinks that while his father was a famous businessman with deep roots in society, this movie would be projecting him in bad light, which is why he has asked for an explanation about the makers’ motives. 
 
This, however, is not the first time that <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Salman-Khan-avoids-Box-office-clash-with-good-friend-Shah-Rukh-Khan/articleshow/48265347.cms" target="_BLANK￿￿￿￿">Raees</a> has faced tough times. For his remarks on the intolerance row, Shah Rukh Khan faced opposition from the members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad when he was shooting for Raees in Gujarat. Not only this, since the leading lady of the movie, debutante <keyword id="701143" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mahira-Khan">Mahira Khan</keyword>, is from Pakistan and Shiv Sena had called for a ban on Pakistani artistes in Maharashtra, the Mumbai schedule had to be shot under tight security. 
 
Looks like the film is having some serious trouble in its production, but the teaser of the movie, along with the fact that Shah Rukh Khan is going to play a grey character after a long time, we are hopeful that the film would be worth the trouble.

Raees, which stars SRK alongwith <keyword id="6359106" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Nawazuddin-Siddiqui">Nawazuddin Siddiqui</keyword> is directed by <keyword id="33868" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Rahul-Dholakia">Rahul Dholakia</keyword>. The movie also marks the <keyword id="143" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Bollywood">Bollywood</keyword> debut of Pakistani actress <keyword id="701143" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mahira-Khan">Mahira Khan</keyword>, who paved her way into millions of Indians’ hearts with her role of the simpleton Kheerad in the serial Humsafar, which was telecast on Zindagi channel. Fawad Afzal Khan, her co-star from Humsafar already stepped into Bollywood last year with Anil Kapoor’s Khoobsurat, starring Fawad and Sonam Kapoor. 
 
In the teaser of Raees, we get to enjoy the bad-boy look of Shah Rukh Khan, who once was christened as the ‘King of Romance’. 
 
 
 Shah Rukh stars as Raees, a bootlegger who believes that no work is small and also that work is worship. Contrary to popular beliefs and some fan-made posters that one can find on various websites, the movie does not star <keyword id="5015" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Farhan-Akhtar">Farhan Akhtar</keyword>. Instead, he serves as the producer of the movie, along with Ritesh Sidhwani and Gauri Khan. The movie would release on Eid, the same day Salman Khan’s Sultan would be releasing. Raees teaser: How Shah Rukh Khan loves to ‘tease’ his fans

Ever since its release, <keyword id="566945" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Zindagi">Zindagi</keyword> channel has received love of one and all. Right from the oh-so-romantic <keyword id="2343597" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Zindagi-Gulzar-Hai">Zindagi Gulzar hai</keyword> to the oh-so-funny <keyword id="2555743" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Yeh-Shaadi-Nahin-Ho-Sakti">Yeh Shaadi Nahin Ho Sakti</keyword>, Indian audiences are appreciating each and every show on the channel. 
 
Pakistani shows generally last for 6-7 months on Pakistan TV as they telecast them weekly, but because Zindagi runs them as daily soaps, they get over within a month—leaving the audience wanting for more. 
 
Here are three other shows that will be aired next on Zindagi. 
 
1. <keyword id="2555745" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Tere-Ishq-Mein">Tere Ishq Mein</keyword> 
A story of a positive emotion like love and a negative one like greed, Tere Ishq Mein is an unforgettable tale of the heavy price that one ends up paying when they love someone selflessly. It aired in Pakistan in 2007 as Man-O-Salwa, and is based on a popular novel of the same name. The author of the novel is Umera Ahmed, who also penned down Zindagi Gulzar Hai. This novel was later made into a hit show of the same name, starring Fawad Afzal Khan and <keyword id="2358879" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sanam-Saeed">Sanam Saeed</keyword>, and was the first serial that Zindagi telecasted. The serial begins tonight at 10:15 PM, making Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain into a weekly show (will get telecast on Sundays only). 
 
2. <keyword id="6399786" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Humsafar">Humsafar</keyword> 
Now this is something that Fawad Afzal Khan’s have been waiting for long, especially after his character of Zaroon Junaid in Zindagi Gulazar Hai took the whole country, and especially girls, by storm. One of the highest-rated dramas of Pakistan, the show revolves around two people who fall in love after marriage. Starring Fawad and <keyword id="701143" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mahira-Khan">Mahira Khan</keyword>, the hit show was telecast in Pakistan from September 2011 to March 2012, and is based on a novel by the same name, written by Farhat Ishtiaq. The serial would begin from tomorrow 8 PM and would replace Mera Naseeb, which stars Sanam Saeed and <keyword id="2539023" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Syra-Yousuf">Syra Yousuf</keyword>. 
 
3. <keyword id="2555746" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Dhoop-Chhaon">Dhoop Chhaon</keyword> Bringing back <keyword id="2555742" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sanam-Baloch">Sanam Baloch</keyword> to Indian television, this serial was telecast in Pakistan as Durr-e-Shehwar from March to June 2012. It follows the journey of Durr-e-Shehwar, a young lady who comes over enough turbulence only to find her daughter standing on similar crossroads later in life. The show stars Sanam Baloch as the young Durr-e-Shehwar and <keyword id="1866540" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Samina-Peerzada">Samina Peerzada</keyword>, last seen in Mera Naseeb, as the elder Durr-e-Shehwar. The show’s name has most probably been changed to suit the Indian audience. The date of telecast has not been decided yet, and the show would most likely replace Yeh Shaadi Nahin Ho Sakti once the family comedy series ends in the coming few days.

Innocence and vulnerability is sexy," the actress, who is set to make her Hollywood debut with 'xXx: Return of Xander Cage' opposite Vin Diesel, said in a statement.
