The disaster management department is working aggressively on a rescue operation in both the states. The <keyword id="119446" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="National-Disaster-Response-Force">National Disaster Response Force</keyword> and the State Disaster Response Force have deployed 20 troops in flood affected areas of Bihar. More than one hundred thousand people have been displaced, with over 114,000 taking shelter in 133 relief camps of which 127 have been set up in Sitamarhi, one of the worst flood-hit districts in the state. In Assam, over <a href="http://www.asdma.gov.in/pdf/flood_report/2019/Daily_Flood_Report_21.07.2019.pdf">1,15,389 people are still in 829 relief camps. </a> Hundreds of villages have been inundated, forcing people to leave their homes and seek shelter at safer places.
