<p><span data-sheets-value="{" library="" is="" a="" book="" lovers="" dream="" come="" true="" data-sheets-userformat="{">Following is a transcript of the video.</span></p><p><span data-sheets-value="{" library="" is="" a="" book="" lovers="" dream="" come="" true="" data-sheets-userformat="{">This library is a book lover's dream come true. </span><span data-sheets-value="{" library="" is="" a="" book="" lovers="" dream="" come="" true="" data-sheets-userformat="{">The Tianjin Binhai Library, Tianjin, <keyword id="1334" type="COUNTRY" weightage="20" keywordseo="China">China</keyword>. </span><span data-sheets-value="{" square="" meters.="" data-sheets-userformat="{">33,700 square meters. </span><span data-sheets-value="{" square="" meters.="" data-sheets-userformat="{">Five levels. </span><span data-sheets-value="{" square="" meters.="" data-sheets-userformat="{">Enough shelf space for 1.2 million books.</span></p><p><span data-sheets-value="{" square="" meters.="" data-sheets-userformat="{">It was completed by Dutch architecture firm <keyword id="1354982" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="MVRDV">MVRDV</keyword> and local architects from the <keyword id="6373150" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="tianjin-urban-planning-and-design-institute">Tianjin Urban Planning and Design Institute</keyword>. </span><span data-sheets-value="{" square="" meters.="" data-sheets-userformat="{">It's nicknamed "The Eye".</span></p><p><span data-sheets-value="{" square="" meters.="" data-sheets-userformat="{"><strong>Winy Maas, Co-founder of MVRDV:</strong> "The angles and curves are meant to stimulate different uses of the space, such as reading, walking, meeting and discussing. Together they form the 'eye' of the building: to see and be seen."</span></p><p><span data-sheets-value="{" square="" meters.="" data-sheets-userformat="{">There's a giant globe in the center of the library. It has an auditorium hidden inside. </span><span data-sheets-value="{" square="" meters.="" data-sheets-userformat="{">The climbable shelving acts as a book mountain. </span><span data-sheets-value="{" square="" meters.="" data-sheets-userformat="{">But there's a catch ... n</span><span data-sheets-value="{" square="" meters.="" data-sheets-userformat="{">ot all of the books are real. </span></p><p><span data-sheets-value="{" square="" meters.="" data-sheets-userformat="{">You can find a lot of books in other reading spaces beyond the main atrium space. There are sections geared for children and education. </span></p><p><span data-sheets-value="{" square="" meters.="" data-sheets-userformat="{">The library has become a tourist hot spot since opening in 2017. It begs for the perfect Instagram photo.</span></p>

You can climb a 'book mountain' in this gigantic library in China

<p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>Seoul, South Korea is about to get its own version of New York City's extremely popular High Line public park.</p><p>It's called the "Seoul Skygarden," and instead of a disused rail track, it will recycle an abandoned elevated highway.</p><p>"Skygarden" is an appropriate name for the new park. The plan is to incorporate about 254 different species of trees, shrubs and flowers along the half-mile, 55-foot high former highway overpass. The flora will be arranged in order according to the Korean alphabet, with the plan for the park to serve as an "urban nursery," growing trees and other plants for the surrounding neighborhoods.</p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>It will also be jam-packed with tea cafés, flower shops, street markets, libraries, and greenhouses, according to a press release by the project's architects, Dutch firm MVRDV.</p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Seoul Station Overpass </span><span>was first built in the 1970s to provide a connection to the a local point of trade, </span><span>Namdaemun market</span><span>. <p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>This building in Amsterdam is, technically, a&#xa0;brick house, but not one like you've ever seen.</p><p>The magnificent "crystal" facade is the front of Chanel's flagship store in the city, and it's made out of hundreds of solid glass bricks.&#xa0;</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>The unique storefront is the work of the Dutch architecture firm <a href="https://www.mvrdv.com/projects/crystal-houses">MVRDV</a><span>, who completed the project in 2016. </span></p><p><span>To build it, they tore down the existing storefront and replaced it with specially made glass bricks in the same style of the original and in line with the neighboring shops' Dutch heritage.</span></p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>In addition to being beautiful, the glass bricks are tough. They're stronger than concrete, and are capable of withstanding the force of a car crash.</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>The glass bricks are potentially an eco-friendly construction innovation too. They're totally reusable, and can be melted down to make new materials. According to MVRDV, during construction they re-melted any defective or warped bricks to make new, perfect ones without any trouble or waste.</p><p></p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div><p>The building&#xa0;is located on P.C. <p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"></div><p></p></div></div>The South Korean capital of Seoul will soon get a massive urban garden that rivals<span> </span><a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/photos-high-line-park-2011-9">the High Line</a>, New York City's famed elevated park.</p><p>Called the <a href="https://www.mvrdv.com/projects/seoul-skygarden">Skygarden</a>, the project will turn an abandoned overpass into a lush public park with over <a href="https://qz.com/894340/seouls-version-of-the-high-line-will-have-over-24000-plants-ordered-alphabetically-by-name/">24,000 plants</a>. In 2015, the Dutch architecture firm <a href="https://www.mvrdv.nl/en/home">MRVDV</a> <a href="https://www.mvrdv.nl/en/news/seoul-skygarden">won</a> a competition launched by the city to design it. Construction of the estimated <a href="http://money.cnn.com/2016/08/08/technology/seoul-skygarden/">$33 million</a> garden (funded by the local government) started a year later.</p><p>MRVDV spokesperson <span>Isabel Pagel </span>now tells Business Insider that the Skygarden is nearly complete, and will open on May 20, 2017.</p><p>Check out what it will look like below.</p>
