The hinge of the laptop is also well-built and feels very sturdy. Another good thing about the device is you can easily open the lid of the laptop with one hand. Despite its sleek and lightweight design, the laptop is very durable. It comes with MIL-STD 810H rating, meaning it can handle extreme stress. The laptop is good for viewing content and working. Content on the laptop, whether for work or for entertainment looks crisp. The brightness, however, is slightly on the lower side. While it looks excellent indoors, it does struggle a bit when you take it outdoors in direct sunlight. If you are someone who doesn’t regularly use your laptop outdoors, this is a non-issue. <h2>HP EliteBook Ultra G1q performance</h2>Coming to performance, the laptop is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite Platform processor. The laptop is available in a single variant with 16GB LPDDR5x 8400 MHz RAM and a 512TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD. The laptop is able to handle multi-tasking with ease, without any issues. There was no stuttering or lag, despite many applications and tabs open at once. The laptop’s cooling system also works well and I did not notice any abnormal heating. The HP EliteBook G1q comes with the Windows CoPilot+, alongside HP’s AI Companion app. The app can be used to streamline daily tasks, helping boost productivity. The app offers AI-powered features such as auto-framing and panning, keeping you in centre during calls. It also offers various enhancement options using AI, including the ability to reduce echoes. The laptop is equipped with a 59 Whr battery and offers a decent battery life, allowing you to get around 8 hours of usage. It supports 65W charging, allowing you to quickly charge the device. <h2>Verdict</h2>The HP EliteBook G1q is a feature-packed device designed for professionals looking for a sleek and powerful laptop. The device ticks all the right boxes, including a good design, powerful hardware and a lightweight form factor. At the end of the day, price does come into play and the EliteBook G1q is priced on the higher side. If you are looking to get a premium device and don’t mind the price, the EliteBook G1q is a great option. HP EliteBook Ultra G1q review – powerful hardware in a compact form factor

The company had posted a consolidated PAT of Rs 2,637 crore in the January-March quarter of the 2022-23 fiscal, <keyword id="19981454" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="mm" source="keywords">M&amp;M</keyword> said in a regulatory filing. <keyword id="19945274" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="revenue" source="keywords">Revenue</keyword> increased to Rs 35,452 crore in the fourth quarter, registering a growth of 9 per cent, as compared to Rs 32,456 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, it added. For the year full year ended March 31, the company posted a consolidated <keyword id="19942166" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="net-profit" source="keywords">net profit</keyword> of Rs 11,269 crore as against Rs 9,025 crore in FY23, an increase of 25 per cent. Revenue rose 15 per cent to Rs 1,39,078 crore in the last fiscal as compared with Rs 1,21,362 crore in FY23. "It has been an excellent year with most of our businesses delivering a high level of performance. Mahindra Q4 net profit rises 4% to Rs 2,754 crore; Revenue at Rs 35,452 crore

Mumbai, <keyword id="6357096" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mahindra-Mahindra" source="Orion">Mahindra &amp; Mahindra</keyword> (M&amp;M) on Friday said its consolidated profit after tax grew 6 per cent to Rs 2,348 crore in September quarter 2023-24. The Mumbai-headquartered company had posted a PAT of Rs 2,209 crore in the July-September period of last fiscal, M&amp;M said in a statement. Revenue grew 15 per cent year-on-year to Rs 34,436 crore in the second quarter this fiscal, it added. The company said it witnessed robust performance across all businesses except Tech <keyword id="45224" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mahindra" source="Orion">Mahindra</keyword> which was impacted by weak demand and exits from non core accounts. "During second quarter, operating performance across auto, farm and services was robust. Auto rapidly grew to double its operating profit. Farm continues to be resilient despite tough market conditions," M&amp;M Managing Director &amp; CEO Anish Shah said in a regulatory filing. Tech Mahindra had a tough quarter, the company is now initiating the transformation journey in the business, he added. In the automotive sector, the company said its revenue grew 20 per cent year-on-year to Rs 18,869 crore in the September quarter. "We delivered yet another robust performance in this quarter. We have maintained our SUV revenue market share at 19.9 per cent while further improving our auto standalone PBIT margins," M&amp;M Executive Director &amp; CEO (Auto and Farm Sector) Rajesh Jejurikar said. In the tractor business, the company increased its market share by 150 basis points on the back of new launches of Oja, Swaraj Target and Naya Swaraj, he added. In volume terms, the company said it sold 2,12,078 vehicles in the quarter under review, as compared to 1,79,673 vehicles in the year-ago period, a growth of 18 per cent. Tractor sales were at 89,101 units in the quarter under review, as compared with 92,590 units in the same period a year ago, down 4 per cent. On a standalone basis, the company said its PAT grew by 67 per cent to Rs 3,452 crore in the second quarter as compared with Rs 2,068 crore in the same period last year. Shares of the company were trading 1.84 per cent down at Rs 1,524.60 apiece on the BSE.

Mahindra Q2 2023-24 PAT up 6% at Rs 2,348 cr

Stocks of the Mahindra &amp; Mahindra (M&amp;M) group have been under selling pressure and were the top Sensex losers on Thursday. M&amp;M slumped 6.5 per cent after the company announced equity stake buy in RBL Bank. On Wednesday, it made an announcement of acquiring a 3.53 per cent stake in RBL Bank as an investment at a cost of Rs 417 crore. “We may consider further investment subject to pricing, regulatory approvals and required procedures. However, in no circumstance will it exceed 9.9 per cent”, M&amp;M said in a filing. In a communication, RBL Bank said that the holding of M&amp;M Limited as per the last beneficiary position as on July 21 as received from the depository (NSDL) is 3.53 per cent of the total paid up share capital of the bank. “We being a listed company, for trading in the shares of the Bank there is no pre-approval required from the bank except for the fact that as per the Master Direction -- <keyword id="6354335" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="reserve-bank-of-india" source="Orion">Reserve Bank of India</keyword> (Acquisition and Holding of Shares or Voting Rights in Banking Companies) Directions, 2023, any shareholder who wishes to acquire 5 per cent or more of the shareholding of the bank is required to make an application to Reserve Bank of India to seek their prior approval for such acquisition. No such application has been received by us till date,” the bank said. <keyword id="43217" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="tech-mahindra" source="Orion">Tech Mahindra</keyword> was down more than 3 per cent after the IT major’s poor show in Q1 results. Motilal Oswal Financial Services said in a report that Tech Mahindra delivered a weak 1QFY24 performance, with revenue declining 4.2 per cent QoQ in CC to $1.6 billion, missing our estimate of a 2.5 per cent decline. "Due to the sharp dip in revenue, Tech Mahindra also saw a steep fall in profitability, exacerbated by a 200bp one-time impact from bankruptcy of a client. We expect the company’s profitability to improve from 2Q onward, partially through sharp cost control and headcount cuts despite high utilisation," the report said. "While we expect a potential for performance improvement after the leadership refresh in Jun’23, we believe this will take time given the macro headwinds and limited flexibility to invest in growth because of weak current profitability. We remain on the sidelines as we feel the current valuation fairly factors in the uncertainties around growth and margin. We cut our FY24/FY25 EPS estimates by 8-10 per cent on weak margin and muted outlook." Emkay Global Financial Services said Tech Mahindra’s revenue slumped 4 per cent QoQ (4.2 per cent CC) to $1.6 billion, missing our estimates. EBITM declined by 440bps QoQ to 6.8 per cent, well below our estimate even after adjusting for one-offs. Deal wins remain weak, and stand at $359 million (TTM deal-intake down 25 per cent YoY). Tech Mahindra has failed to capitalise on its strength in the areas of communications, ER&amp;D, BPO, XDS, etc, and deliver consistent performance in the past, the note said.

"Despite mixed global signals and uncertainties surrounding the US Fed, the Indian market experienced a robust recovery, largely fuelled by the outperformance of the broader market and positive Q4 earnings. "Further, some index heavyweight earnings surpassed expectations, and midcap and small-cap stocks continued to exhibit buying interest during dips. Overall, M&amp;M’s total volumes surged 35% in FY23 to 1.1 million units, from 8.17 lakh units in FY22. Driving the growth in the automotive segment were “successful mega launches”, the company said in a post-earnings press conference. M&amp;M also expanded its dominance in the sports utility vehicle (SUV) segment, increasing its revenue market share by 170 basis points YoY to 19.6%. It said that the open bookings of its SUVs stood at 2.92 lakh as on May 1, further underlining its leadership position in this segment and also the strong demand momentum. M&M Q4 standalone net profit rises 22% YoY to ₹1,549 crore, misses estimates

Tractors and better cars drive M&M’s Q1 net profit but the future is electric

Bajaj Auto's market cap on Thursday crossed the Rs 2 lakh crore-mark to touch Rs 2.04 lakh crore, surpassing M&amp;M. Maruti <keyword id="20032993" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="suzuki" source="keywords">Suzuki</keyword> has a market cap of Rs 3.13 lakh crore, while <keyword id="19906967" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="tata-motors" source="keywords">Tata Motors</keyword> mcap is Rs 2.59 lakh crore. Bajaj Auto stock gained 5.3 per cent to close at Rs 7,596 on Thursday. <keyword id="20332980" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="arun-agarwal" source="keywords">Arun Agarwal</keyword>, Vice-President &amp; Automobile Analyst, <keyword id="19958661" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="kotak-securities" source="keywords">Kotak Securities</keyword>, said Bajaj Auto's volumes grew 14 per cent QoQ led by 30 per cent QoQ volume growth in the domestic two-wheeler segment. Its EBITDA margin expanded YoY, supported by commodity tailwinds. In Q3FY24, gross profit per vehicle and EBITDA per vehicle improved over Q2FY24. Recovery in the domestic two-wheeler segment is expected to continue. "We are impressed by Bajaj Auto's margin resilience despite adverse mix (3W volume contribution down 300bps QoQ). This validates the fact that its margin performance is not overtly dependent on 3W performance. Domestic 2W retail market share gain has been impressive at 150bps YoY to 12 per cent YTDFY24. Domestic 2W industry volumes have held up post festive season as well. We expect these to grow in high single-digit in FY25E," Elara Securities said.

But it was largely due to a one-time charge for global subsidiaries like Ssangyong. “The Company has recognised a loss of ₹2,780.47 crore as 'Exceptional items' on account of impairment provision for certain long-term investment,” the statement said.
