"As soon as I walked in the room, I don't remember exactly what happened, but something funny happened and we all just started cracking up laughing."</p><p>The Australian actor continued: "It was like meeting an old friend. It was like Emma and I had been old friends for a long time."</p><p>Their natural connection helped them with their performances in the film, Bracey explained.</p><p>"There was such an ease to it," he said. Joe: Retaliation" actor said they'd end up spending 12 to 14 hours together per day while filming the movie in Atlanta. </p><p>"For those days at work to be just us laughing on-camera and off-camera, it was a blessing," he told Insider. </p><p>Bracey continued, "There are so many times where we're just cracking up before the cameras are rolling. I'm sure there are plenty of outtakes of us just being absolute fools and laughing our heads off."</p><p>The cast also includes stars like Kristin Chenoweth, Jessica Capshaw, Jake Manley, Frances Fisher, and Alex Moffat. When he read the script, written by Tiffany Paulsen, Bracey said he knew that the Netflix film was the right segue into the genre. </p><p>"I read the script and I just laughed out loud, and that does not happen often, especially when you're just reading one," he said. Huang also rented all of Roberts' jewelry from different costume houses, which she said helped give her character depth.</p><div type="image" title="holidate netflix" height="1333" width="1778" msid="79031306" hostid="261"></div><p>"I didn't want people to be able to tell immediately where she got all of her stuff, and I think that's what makes Sloane so special. "I thought: 'It could either be really good or really bad,' but I love that line. "It's not like she went out and bought a whole new wardrobe because she met Jackson, and that was important to me."</p><p>Huang kept this sentiment at the top of mind while styling the other "Holidate" characters.</p><p>"I tried to show that women, in their clothing, have an idea of who they are.
