I am so lost and confused and mad," Ali Giannino, a friend of Anderson's, posted to Facebook. "Yes Matthew Davis has been shot and killed by police, but for me, honestly, this is not justice. According to the sources, the WHO had on September 29 informed the Drugs Controller General of India that it was providing technical assistance and advice to The Gambia. It had highlighted that a significant contributing factor to the deaths was suspected to be the use of medicines which may have been contaminated with Diethylene Glycol/Ethylene Glycol, and said its presence had been confirmed in some of the samples it tested. The CDSCO said it responded to the WHO within an hour-and-a-half after receiving intimation, by taking up the matter with the state regulatory authority. From the preliminary inquiry, it has been made out that Maiden Pharmaceutical Limited is the manufacturer licensed by the state drug controller for the products under reference, and holds manufacturing permission for these products. "The company has manufactured and exported these products only to The Gambia so far," the source said. It is a practice that the importing country tests the products for quality before sanctioning their usage there. As per the tentative results received by WHO out of the 23 samples tested, four samples have been found to contain Diethylene Glycol/ Ethylene Glycol as indicated. Investors will soon find it easy to apply for Initial Public Offers (IPOs) as <keyword id="6357264" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="capital-market">capital market</keyword> regulator, <keyword id="6355630" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Securities-and-Exchange-Board-of-India">Securities and Exchange Board of India</keyword> (<keyword id="35210" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="sebi">SEBI</keyword>) is coming up with norms on <keyword id="2302538" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="electronic-form">electronic form</keyword> of IPOs. The e-IPOs will allow investors to subscribe to issues online without filling application forms and standing in queues, according to an ET report. 

	Moreover, the e-IPO system will reduce the total IPO investing process for investors to six days from the existing 12 days. 
 

	At present, there are various ways of submitting an application form for a public issue including applying with a cheque. This makes it difficult to reduce the post issue timelines from the 12 days from issue closure to listing and trading of shares. 
 The challenge with the current system is the time taken for clearing cheques of the retail investors. “The proposed e-IPO system is likely to do away with cheques and provide payments through NPCI (<keyword id="394949" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="National-Payments-Corporation">National Payments Corporation</keyword> of India), brokers besides the current ASBA (Application Support Blocked Amount) mechanism…," Haresh Hinduja, head-primary market, <keyword id="1869539" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Link-Intime">Link Intime</keyword>, told the financial daily. 

	If an investor makes an application through the ASBA route, the applicant's bank account doesn't get debited until shares are allotted to him. But, the system still has some challenges.
 In 2008, the <keyword id="6378893" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="market-regulator">market regulator</keyword> had introduced the ASBA mechanism, which is mandatory for institutional and rich investors, while optional for retail investors. At present, 70% of the applications by retail investors are done through cheques. 

	In the current IPO process, implementing ASBA across the country is a challenge. For instance, if investors send ASBA forms of multiple banks, brokers find it tedious to verify all the forms with the banks and clear them within the IPO 12-day period.
 "The proposed e-IPO mechanism has allowed more entities such as depository participants and registrar and transfer agents to accept ASBA forms, besides replicating the OFS (offer for sale) model. The client will make bid application and the clearing corporation will block brokers funds. Thus the whole settlement will be through the secondary market route," CEO of <keyword id="66607" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Kotak-securities">Kotak Securities</keyword> Kamlesh Rao told ET.

SEBI soon coming up with e-IPO norms

(Eds: Adds details) New Delhi, Dec 30 () The last date for the mandatory linking of the <keyword id="134255" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="permanent-account-number">Permanent Account Number</keyword> (PAN) with Aadhaar has been extended till March next year, the CBDT said on Monday. The earlier deadline was Tuesday, December 31. "The due date for linking of PAN with Aadhaar as specified under sub-section 2 of section 139AA of the Income-tax Act, 1961 has been extended from December 31, 2019 to March 31, 2020," the department said on its official Twitter handle. This is the eighth time that the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the deadline for individuals to link their PAN with Aadhaar. The Supreme Court, in September last year, had declared the Centre's flagship Aadhaar scheme as constitutionally valid and held that the biometric ID would remain mandatory for the filing of I-T returns and allotment of the PAN. Section 139 AA (2) of the Income Tax Act says that every person having PAN as on July 1, 2017, and is eligible to obtain Aadhaar, must intimate his Aadhaar number to tax authorities. Aadhaar is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to a resident of India and PAN is a 10-digit alphanumeric number allotted by the I-T department to a person, firm or entity. The CBDT, that frames policy for the tax department, said a notification numbered 107 has been issued in this context. NES CK

"Your phone might be very secure, it might have a passcode, a biometric face ID, it might need your thumbprint but getting into your iCloud via another device might be easier than you think," O'Reilly added. <h2>3. Have a conversation about security with the person you're sending your picture to </h2>Unfortunately, securing your device isn't enough — it also depends on the person you're sending the pictures to. "Sadly, the risk is nearly always the person you're sending it to. But this is not necessarily intentional — you might take your phone security very seriously but the partner you're sending to might not," said O'Reilly. Privacy advocate suggests having an open and honest conversation with your partner before sending anything. Ask them questions like where your pictures will be stored, whether their iCloud settings have been checked, or whether they will delete your picture if you ask them to."In the same way that you need to be having conversations with your partner about your sexual relationship, about consent and contraception or things like that, you need to be having conversations about your digital relationship and security as well," O'Reilly added.<div type="image" title="Jennifer Lawrence" height="3112" width="4149" msid="78347471" hostid="261"></div><h2>4. Ask yourself whether you actually trust the person you're sending pictures to</h2>Although this might seem like very obvious advice, it is probably the most important of all: if you don't trust the person, then don't hit 'Send.'"This can be difficult because you never know what people are capable of until it happens, unfortunately," said O'Reilly. "Making sure you really do trust someone and that you're kind of invested in the build-up to the relationship is always important."One red flag to look out for in particular is whether or not the person you're sending pictures to is pressuring you to send them, O'Reilly added."Really make sure if it something you want to do and that you're not coerced into doing it," she said. "Of course, that's not 100% foolproof. Plenty of people consensually share images in good faith and they can be shared against their will." <h2>5. Be aware of your surroundings when you take the pictures</h2>When deciding on the photo you're planning to send, be aware of details, such as the background or whether your face can be identified."This includes showing off any recognizable tattoos or birthmarks you might have," added O'Reilly.The place you're taking the picture from can also be vital. "Never send a nude from your place of work where there's a company logo in the background, for example," said O'Reilly. "Might seem like straight-forward advice but it can be particularly damaging.""If you work in some kind of profession where you think this could have a really big impact like a lawyer or a teacher for example, then you need to be extra careful," she added.<h2>What happens if I do end up becoming a victim of image-based abuse?</h2>If you do find out that someone has been sharing your private images without your consent, O'Reilly suggested trying to understand as much as possible about what's happened first."If you know for sure that the person is sharing these images maliciously then go straight to the police," she said. "That's obviously easier said than done and it takes a level of bravery, but it is a strong option." "If you think it was accidental, one option would be to reach out to the person you sent the pictures to, to figure out whether it was a mistake or ask them to remove it," O'Reilly added.Other support systems, <a href="https://revengepornhelpline.org.uk/how-can-we-help/how-to-get-in-touch/">like the Revenge Porn Helpline</a>, are also always available."Don't panic, you're not alone and there is help available," the manager of the helpline, Sophie Mortimer, told Insider."Make sure you reach out for personal support as your well-being is the priority. Then save evidence: screenshots messages and content, save links," she added.Most importantly, you should know that you're not alone and that you are not to blame for becoming a victim, both experts said.There's nothing wrong with sharing intimate images if that's what you want to do, but it's a good idea to make sure you're aware of the risks and have done what you can to offset them," said Mortimer. "Have fun, but stay safe."
