Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 23 (ANI): <keyword id="20122961" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="veteran" source="keywords">Veteran</keyword> playback singer <keyword id="20431844" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="suresh-wadkar" source="keywords">Suresh Wadkar</keyword> has been honoured with the Gansamragini Lata <keyword id="20695556" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="mangeshkar-award" source="keywords">Mangeshkar Award</keyword>. <keyword id="20695555" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="wadkar" source="keywords">Wadkar</keyword> was felicitated with the award at an event in Mumbai on Thursday. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis presented him with special mementoes. In 2021, he also became a recipient of Padma Shri, The fourth-highest civilian award in the Republic of India. "It feels really special to receive the award under the tenures of Modi ji and President Ram Nath Kovind ji. It's a big thing for me. I am extremely happy. I have been waiting for a long time to get this award and now I have finally received it," Wadkar earlier told ANI. Wadkar is known for his playback singing in Hindi and Marathi. He has been enthralling audiences for over 45 years now. He has also carved a niche for himself in devotional music. 'Sapne Mein Milti Hai', 'Pehli Baar Mohabbat Ki Hai' and 'Lagi Aaj Saawan Ki' are some of his popular tracks. His earliest hit numbers were 'Sona Kare jhilmil jhilmil' (film 'Paheli'), 'Seene Me Jalan' ('Gaman'), which reportedly caught late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar's attention and she recommended him to other top music composers of the day. On coming a long way in his journey, Wadkar said, "I feel blessed on getting opportunities to work with big makers in the industry. There's no bigger achievement than people's love. Luckily, I have been able to achieve that through my work. It's every artist's dream to receive this award. I started singing at the age of 4 and till now have sung 30,000 to 40,000 songs." (ANI)

Veteran singer Suresh Wadkar receives Lata Mangeshkar Award

New Delhi, Singer <keyword id="806680" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Narendra-Chanchal">Narendra Chanchal</keyword>, who redefined popular devotional singing in India, is no more. According to reports, Narendra Chanchal died on Friday in the city. He was 80. Celebrities like <keyword id="31278" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Lata-Mangeshkar">Lata Mangeshkar</keyword>, Daler Mehndi and <keyword id="6389563" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Madhur-Bhandarkar">Madhur Bhandarkar</keyword> have paid tributes to the late singer. Chanchal shot to fame with his '<keyword id="24503" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="jagran">Jagran</keyword>' hits in the seventies and the eighties, particularly songs dedicated to Sherawali Mata. His ode to Sherawali Mata "Chalo bulava aaya hai" continues to be popular till date. Chanchal is best known for his live performances. The singer also made a mark in Bollywood. He is known for rendering the title song of the 1974 Amitabh Bachchan film "Benaam", composed by RD Burman. In the same year, he also sang "Mehngai mar gayi" for the film "Roti Kapda Aur Makaan". He also famously sang "Beshak mandir masjid todo" in Raj Kapoor's 1973 superhit "Bobby", starring Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia. He also sang "Tu ne mujhe bulaya" with Mohammed Rafi for the hit 1980 film "Aasha". Playback legend Lata Mangeshkar expressed her grief over his demise, tweeting: "He was a very good human being." She hoped he rests in peace. Singer-composer Vishal Dadlani shared that "Shri #NarendraChanchal ji will be remembered forever through the songs he sang. I doubt anyone will ever walk up to Vaishnodevi without hearing his voice resounding through the hills". Actor Manoj Bajpayee tweeted: "What a singer with such inspiring voice.singing your songs now in your memory.god bless you soul with peace." Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar tweeted: "Saddened to hear demise of Singer #NarendraChanchal ji. Popular devotional singer Narendra Chanchal passes away at 80

Virat shared a video of him singing ‘Jo vaada kiya woh nibhaana padega’, originally sung by legendary Lata Mangeshkar. 
 
The Indian cricketer was at the Indian high commission gathering in Bangladesh and couldn’t stop himself when his favourite song was played.

1. The first time we saw Shraddha Kapoor on the silver screen was when she donned the role of a studious geek Aparna Khanna who volunteers in a poker experiment. The year was 2010 and the movie that marked her debut was <keyword id="16035" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Teen-Patti">Teen Patti</keyword>, in which she starred along Amitabh Bachchan and R. Madhavan. The movie could not do well at the box office, resulting in a career setback for Shraddha. Reportedly, she also lost her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s My Friend Pinto because of the movie’s failure.

Next year, in 2011, we saw her as a girl next door who gets her heart broken and plans revenge in <keyword id="595028" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Luv-ka-the-End">Luv Ka The End</keyword>. She shared the screen space with Taaha Shah and Ali Zafar. The film was the first production venture of Y-Films, Yash Raj Films’ division for making youth-centric films. 3. After taking a year-long break, the young Kapoor lass returned to the screens with the musical romantic saga Aashiqui 2. The movie, which also had Aditya Roy Kapur, was highly successful and Shraddha Kapoor was noticed for her good looks as well as acting prowess. 
 
4. Next in line for the lady was a guest role in Dharma Productions’ Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, in which she played Vasudha, a Tamilian girl in love with a Sikh boy. The lead pair of the movie was Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor, and Shraddha’s role was limited to a few scenes. 
 
5. Came 2014 and Shraddha was seen as Ayesha in another musical romantic thriller Ek Villain. Her role was that of a young girl who falls in love with a goon and transforms him into a family man, only to be killed by a psychopath killer. Her role in the movie was limited to a few flashback scenes other than some songs, given the fact that her character gets killed in the first 15 minutes. 
 
6. Towards the end of 2014, we saw the pretty lady doing a role in Haider, for ace director Vishal Bhardwaj. She portrayed the role of Arshiya, a young Kashmiri journalist in love with the main lead, played by Shahid Kapoor. Her performance and hard work in the movie to get into the skin of a Kashmiri girl were appreciated. 
 
7. She also did an item number, called Dance Basanti, in the movie Ungli. 
 
8. In 2015, she would be seen in Remo D’souza’s next <keyword id="1870207" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="ABCD-2">ABCD 2</keyword>, which is the sequel to 2013’s ABCD: Any Body Can Dance. She is paired opposite Varun Dhawan and portrays a dancer in the movie. Reportedly, she has been working hard to get into the shoes of a dancer. The movie would release in June 2015. 
 
9. She would also began shooting for Rock On 2, the sequel to Rock On!!, which released in 2008. The movie would also stars Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli and would be shot in Shillong. 
 
10. Other than acting, Shraddha Kapoor also has a passion for singing, given her relations with Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle, two of India’s most reputed singers. Shraddha’s mother Shivangi Kapoor is the daughter of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle’s paternal aunt. Shivangi herself is a trained singer, and Shraddha has surely got her singing skills from her. In the recently concluded Global Indian Music Awards, Shraddha Kapoor was awarded the ‘Celebrity Singer Of The Year’ award.

Ports-to-energy conglomerate <keyword id="6367820" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="adani-group" source="Orion">Adani Group</keyword> has incorporated a new subsidiary to set up a data centre in Mumbai, one of the half a dozen cities that the billionaire <keyword id="111343" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="gautam-adani" source="Orion">Gautam Adani</keyword>'s group has identified to set up data centres initially. <keyword id="13115379" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="AdaniConnex-Pvt-Ltd" source="Orion">AdaniConnex Pvt Ltd</keyword>, a 50:50 joint venture of <keyword id="76451" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="adani" source="Orion">Adani</keyword> Enterprises and <keyword id="8796732" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="EdgeConneX" source="Orion">EdgeConnex</keyword> Europe BV, on February 4 incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary Mumbai Data Centre Ltd, the Adani group firm said in a stock exchange filing. The new unit will "undertake business to develop, operate, maintain, deal with data centres, information technology (IT)/ information technology-enabled services (ITES)/ cloud, providing services related thereto and to undertake activities associated with its infrastructure development including land acquisition and development for the said purpose," it said. MDCL will commence its business operations in due course, it added. In February 2021, Adani Enterprises Ltd had partnered EdgeConneX, a leading data centre operator, to develop one gigawatt (GW) of data centre capacity over the next decade. The equal joint venture (JV), named AdaniConneX, will focus on building a network of hyperscale data centres in India, starting with Chennai, Navi Mumbai, Noida, Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad. A data centre provides the necessary secured architecture wherein computing and networking equipment is concentrated for collecting, storing, processing, distributing or allowing access to large amounts of data. Gautam Adani had in November 2021 stated that he wants his conglomerate to be a world leader in green data storage, with sites run entirely on clean power, in sync with India's goal of turning carbon net-zero by 2070. The diversification comes against the backdrop of India's digital economy expected to touch USD 1 trillion by 2025. Also, the Reserve Bank of India's norm mandates data localisation, necessitating the need for setting up large data centres to store and protect information. Data localisation refers to storing data on any device physically present within the borders of a country where the data is generated. Adani and other large corporates from Reliance Jio to Bharti Airtel are also seeking to tap this opportunity. Adani group last year got land in Noida for the data centre from the Uttar Pradesh government. Flipkart has partnered with Adani Group to set up its third data centre in Chennai. Last week, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her budget for 2022-23 proposed to classify data centres and energy storage as infrastructure assets allowing firms to access cheap and long-term credit. "As India's internet economy continues to be on a surge, as there is an increasing need to build a requisite data centre to ensure seamless uninterrupted data consumption and storage. "The growing smartphone subscribers with rising monthly mobile data traffic, coupled with rising broadband penetration and increasing digital transactions per year, will create an enormous need to collect, store, process and distribute data," Adani Group said on its website. It said Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) is the only company with inherent capabilities to build Data centres across the country. The firm has "complete ownership of large land parcels across the country, project management capabilities and resources availability, end-to-end power value chain (generation, transmission and distribution), fibre connectivity and strong network connectivity". Adani Group forms unit to set up data centre in Mumbai

New Delhi, Apr 9 () Some of the biggest names from Indian music including Asha Bhonsle, S P Balasubramaniam and K J Yesudas are joining hands for a series of virtual concerts to express their solidarity with the people working at the forefront of the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.The Indian Singers Rights Association (ISRA) announced that it will hold a three-day concert 'Sangeet Setu', starting from April 10 between 8 pm and 9 pm, with the aim to entertain the public and help them deal with the stress in these unprecedented times of lockdown. "The feed for the concert, dedicated to PM CARES, will be available on OTT platforms, Television, Digital and Social channels," the ISRA said in a release. The concert, blessed by nightingale of bollywood Lata Mangeshkar, has an impressive line-up of veterans Asha Bhonsle, S P Balasubramaniam, K J Yesudas, Udit Narayan, Anoop Jalota, Pankaj Udhas, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sudesh Bhosale, Suresh Wadkar, Talat Aziz, Alka Yagnik, Kumar Shanu, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Salim Merchant, Shaan and Kailash Kher, the ISRA said."ISRA decided that leading singers of the country will entertain the masses and try to lighten their stress, strain and depression in these tough times. New Delhi, May 1 () In one of the biggest collaborations by artistes for a noble cause, a group of 100 singers, including the legendary Asha Bhosle, Kumar Sanu and Sonu Nigam have come together to record an anthem for the frontline warriors fighting the coronavirus pandemic and in the aid of PM Cares fund.The anthem 'One Nation One Voice', recorded in 14 different languages, will be dedicated to the nation by Lata Mangeshkar on behalf of Indian Singers Rights Association (ISRA) on May 3.It will be released across over 100 digital platforms such as TV, Radio and on social media.Commenting on the initiative, Bhosle said that singers are the artists who have always expressed the feelings of the public."On this occasion when all of us are fighting against the coronavirus pandemic as 'One Nation' ably led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we 100 singers of the country under ISRA decided to express our love for the nation and dedicate this song as 'One Voice'," she said.The artists, who are a part of the anthem include Asha Bhosle, Anup Jalota, Alka Yagnik, Hariharan, Kailash Kher, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Kumar Sanu, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Mano, Pankaj Udhas, S P Balasubramanian, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Talat Aziz, Udit Narayan, Shankar Mahadevan, Jasbir Jassi among others.Sanjay Tandon, CEO of ISRA said, "One Nation One Voice in aid of PM Cares is a dedication from ISRA where 100 artists pay tribute to all the people in the forefront of the battle against the coronavirus and all the people at home who have supported the lockdown.""One Nation One voice is not just an anthem but it is a national movement - we have over 100 broadcast, social, amplification and tech platforms supporting the launch," said Sukrit Singh of XP&amp;D BeLive digital platform.The anthem is the brainchild of Nigam, singer Srinivas and Tandon.Nigham said, "It is our collective tribute to the mammoth struggle and effort our government and the entire medical and health workers are putting together in these times of global crisis. Hundred singers are coming together from different corners of India, is an unprecedented show of solidarity and love."Srinivas said as artiste they wanted to contribute to the fight in their own way. "ISRA being the treasure house of singers in this country, we embark on a song with 100 voices and nothing else, to stir the nation's heart and reaffirm our solidarity. A hundred voices sing in unison for the nation," he said.Every artist has recorded the song from home.Manish Baradia, Creative Director of Moving Pixels said: "Working with home recording of audio and video is a beautiful challenge. COVID-19: 100 singers unite for anthem dedicated to frontline warriors

Even though it’s been just 3 days since the trailer launch of <keyword id="133664" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Tiger-Shroff">Tiger Shroff</keyword> and <keyword id="89958" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shraddha-Kapoor">Shraddha Kapoor</keyword>’s upcoming movie <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Baaghi-trailer-is-promising-but-did-the-makers-just-leak-the-entire-story/articleshow/51408948.cms">Baaghi</a>, with the trailer showcasing bone-breaking action by both the lead actors, the first song from the movie has been released-high on passion and romance. 
 
The song is called <keyword id="2811175" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sab-Tera">Sab Tera</keyword> and sees Shraddha and Tiger dancing in rain, swimming in the beautiful Krabi Sea, romancing on the desolate Krabi Island, and ending the song with a passionate kiss. 
 
Thankfully though, unlike his first movie Heropanti, this movie doesn’t have dancing scenes only from Tiger Shroff; even Shraddha Kapoor has danced to the wonderful music by Amaal Mallik. 
 
 
 
The lyrics come from Sanjiv Chaturvedi, and the song has been sung by Armaan Malik and Shraddha Kapoor herself. 
 
Yes, the leading lady has not only done intense action in the movie but has also lent her voice to this song, and we must say, being related to the legendary Lata Mangeshkar has actually rubbed off on Shraddha. How are they related, you ask? Her maternal grandfather was the nephew of Deenanath Mangeshkar, the renowned musician and Lata Mangeshkar’s father. So in short, Shraddha is the grandniece of legends like Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle, so no wonder she has found herself singing in most of her recent releases.

Two very big films coming next year. I composed two songs there. I don’t have enough time. I leave for America. Because of Slum Stars I’ve got very good contacts in Hollywood. 
 
The film got Best Film Award from Sydney. I have directed the film, and now it’s going for the National Awards. I’m also looking to submit for <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Grammys">Grammys</a>. 
 
Everybody has dreams. I want to do international more. I want to project India, India’s classical fusion. I have done enough films.

During 2014 general elections, few key leaders of his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies were not in favor of his selection as the Prime Ministerial candidate. But, he came out strong from tough situations and surprised everyone with the results. 
 
3. Develop faith: Modi is often criticized for his foreign tours and his government has been through a roller-coaster ride on several issues including black money, Lalit Modi row, Vyapam scam, etc. Still, through counter-attacks and speeches, Modi has instilled a faith in the common man. Also, by pitching India as the best place to invest and highlighting the positives, he has also lead business honchos, worldover, to invest in India. Highlight positives and show your strengths. If you have confidence in yourself, everyone else will also show the same in you. 
 
4. Nurture relationships: NaMo himself has been putting continuous efforts to nurture relationships with various global leaders. The US President Barack Obama attended Republic Day function, Columbia University Professor Jagdish Bhagwati has lauded Modi's Gujarat model of development in his book, yoga guru Baba Ramdev, India’s golden voice Lata Mangeshkar, business tycoon Ratan Tata and many other influential leaders have praised NaMo for his work. 
 
5. Think Different: Ditch the traditional methods and do something offbeat to connect. During the 2014 parliamentary elections, Modi engaged with his target audience using different technologies and innovative campaigns. Through webcasts, data analytics, digitization, 3D holograms, social media, etc, Modi was omnipresent. His ‘chai pe charcha’ campaign was a hit. 
 
6. Communication and keep in touch: It’s not that NaMo, who is an excellent communicator, forgot his audiences after elections. His monthly address ‘Mann ki baat’ is still a rage among Indians. Modi’s speeches are articulate and well-crafted which also touch an emotional nerve. Communication is one of the best tools, which can really build a brand. 
 
7. Vision &amp; knowledge: Modi has great insights on challenges faced by public, his knowledge on historic and cultural facts are also remarkable. Most importantly, he has a vision to make India an efficient and modern country that thrives in various industries and fields. He wants to turn India into world’s manufacturing hub and his ‘Make in India’ initiative has already garnered lot of steam. It is important to targets and a vision and tread of that path.
