Leasing of industrial and warehousing space was highest in Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas during 2022 at 7.3 million square feet driven mainly by demand from third-party logistics and e-commerce firms, according to <keyword id="6376943" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="cbre" source="Orion">CBRE</keyword>. The leasing grew by 6 per cent in Delhi-NCR to 7.3 million square feet in 2022 from 6.9 million square feet in the previous year. In its latest report, CBRE said that the leasing of industrial and logistics space across eight major cities rose 8 per cent to 31.6 million square feet in 2022 from 29.4 million square feet in the previous year. Commenting on the report, <keyword id="330930" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="anshuman-magazine" source="Orion">Anshuman Magazine</keyword>, Chairman &amp; CEO - India, South-East Asia, Middle East &amp; Africa, CBRE, said, "The intent to strengthen supply chain among global and domestic companies drove the leasing activity in 2022." The leasing activity in 2023 is expected to remain range-bound, driven by sustained demand from 3PL (third party logistics), engineering &amp; manufacturing and retail firms, he added. "On the supply front, we foresee project completions to exceed the 2022 levels and be in line with space take-up during 2023," Magazine said. As per the data, in Mumbai, the leasing grew 36 per cent to 6.1 million square feet in 2022 from 4.5 million square feet in the previous year. The leasing of industrial and logistic space in Bengaluru fell 18 per cent to 5.2 million square feet from 6.4 million square feet. Chennai saw a marginal decline in leasing to 4 million square feet. In Hyderabad, the leasing rose 16 per cent to 3.7 million square feet from 3.2 million square feet. The leasing activities in Pune fell 64 per cent to 0.6 million square feet from 1.8 million square feet. In Kolkata, the leasing jumped to 3.8 million square feet from 1.9 million square feet. Leasing of industrial and logistics space was up 33 per cent in Ahmedabad during 2022 to 0.8 million square feet from 0.6 million square feet in the previous year. The consultant said that the overall leasing across eight cities grew despite global headwinds, and a slowdown in e-commerce demand and dissipation of the post-pandemic need to hold additional inventories. This is the second-highest leasing activity recorded in industrial and logistics after the 2019 peak of 32 million square feet. The total supply in 2022 touched 20.9 million square feet. The 3PL players accounted for about half of the annual space take-up, driven by heightened demand from interlinked stakeholders across the supply chain (wholesalers, retailers, &amp; e-commerce players) for the need to shore up distribution capabilities. Over the last five years, 3PL players have cumulatively leased more than 60 million square feet across India. A majority of this space take-up was led by domestic occupiers. Engineering &amp; manufacturing firms picked up pace in 2022 with a share of about 16 per cent in total leasing compared to 10 per cent in 2021. "For local engineering and industrial players, government policy enablers like the <keyword id="8870884" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="production-linked-incentive" source="Orion">Production Linked Incentive</keyword> (PLI) programme worked as a growth stimulant," the consultant said. According to reports, Narendra Chanchal died on Friday in the city. He was 80. Chanchal shot to fame with his '<keyword id="24503" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="jagran">Jagran</keyword>' hits in the seventies and the eighties, particularly songs dedicated to Sherawali Mata. His ode to Sherawali Mata "Chalo bulava aaya hai" continues to be popular till date. Chanchal is best known for his live performances. The singer also made a mark in Bollywood. He is known for rendering the title song of the 1974 Amitabh Bachchan film "Benaam", composed by RD Burman. In the same year, he also sang "Mehngai mar gayi" for the film "Roti Kapda Aur Makaan". He also famously sang "Beshak mandir masjid todo" in Raj Kapoor's 1973 superhit "Bobby", starring Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia. He also sang "Tu ne mujhe bulaya" with Mohammed Rafi for the hit 1980 film "Aasha". Playback legend Lata Mangeshkar expressed her grief over his demise, tweeting: "He was a very good human being." Popular devotional singer Narendra Chanchal passes away at 80

The rift first started when Asha married Ganpatrao Bhosle, a man 15 years older to her. Lata once claimed that Bhosle stopped the two sisters from meeting. However, the marriage ended in a divorce but Lata and Asha’s relationship remained strained. During Asha’s struggling times in the industry, Lata also disapproved of Asha’s relationship with music director O P Nayyar. So much so that Lata stopped singing for Nayyar altogether. Movie producer Singing is her first love, but Lata has many other talents too. She had composed music for Marathi movies but was too conscious of giving her name to it, and chose to keep it under wraps, under a pseudonym. But the secret came out when the movies she composed for won an award for Best Music, requiring her to receive the recognition on stage. She told the story in a book called ‘Lata in her own voice’, adding that she was too busy recording that she could not focus on composing. She had also produced three Hindi films and a Marathi film. ‘Daughter of the nation’ Lata Mangeshkar turns 90 and here’s taking a look at her career of 77 years

It had a popular first season and is currently on its way to the second. But it was not the first time when Indian TV got a significant makeover. 1. Hum Log 
Shown on the Doordarshan in 1984, this series marked the beginning of the television revolution in India while viewers had their first taste of soap. 4. Flop Show Stand-up comedy and comic shows are the rage today. But this show never failed to minister a regular dose of laughter to its audience. It was written and directed by the legendary satirical comedian, late <keyword id="34752" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Jaspal-Bhatti">Jaspal Bhatti</keyword>, who also played the lead role. Flop Show was, ironically, a big hit. 
 
5. Swabhimaan Directed by <keyword id="6370367" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Mahesh-Bhatt">Mahesh Bhatt</keyword> and scripted by Shobha De, this show introduced the viewers to the world of complex relationships, infidelity, power, property entanglements and what not. It was the first show to complete 500 episodes in a span of 2 years. 
 
6. Meri Awaz Suno 
Those who stay glued to their seats to watch talent hunts like India’s Got Talent, Indian Idol, Voice of India and more, would be glad to know that it was a show on Doordarshan, called Meri Awaz Suno, which had helped discover the extremely talented Sunidhi Chauhan. The show was hosted by Annu Kapoor and judged by <keyword id="31278" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Lata-Mangeshkar">Lata Mangeshkar</keyword>. 
 
7. Zee Horror Show 
Those who swear by the thrill of horror will remember the spine-chilling Zee Horror Show, which brought all things uncanny bang into our drawing rooms. Presented by the Ramsay Brothers, it was one of the most popular shows of the 90s. 
 
8. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (KSBKBT) 
The longest running show in the history of Indian television, KSBKBT introduced us to the glorious Gujarati family – Virani. It was the story of Tulsi and her endeavours to become an ideal wife, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and grandmother-in-law. Due to its domestic connect, it was the No. 1 show even in its eighth year.

Small Screen Shows That Changed The Face Of Indian Television In A Big Way

New Delhi, Apr 9 () Some of the biggest names from Indian music including Asha Bhonsle, S P Balasubramaniam and K J Yesudas are joining hands for a series of virtual concerts to express their solidarity with the people working at the forefront of the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.The Indian Singers Rights Association (ISRA) announced that it will hold a three-day concert 'Sangeet Setu', starting from April 10 between 8 pm and 9 pm, with the aim to entertain the public and help them deal with the stress in these unprecedented times of lockdown. "The feed for the concert, dedicated to PM CARES, will be available on OTT platforms, Television, Digital and Social channels," the ISRA said in a release. The concert, blessed by nightingale of bollywood Lata Mangeshkar, has an impressive line-up of veterans Asha Bhonsle, S P Balasubramaniam, K J Yesudas, Udit Narayan, Anoop Jalota, Pankaj Udhas, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sudesh Bhosale, Suresh Wadkar, Talat Aziz, Alka Yagnik, Kumar Shanu, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Salim Merchant, Shaan and Kailash Kher, the ISRA said."ISRA decided that leading singers of the country will entertain the masses and try to lighten their stress, strain and depression in these tough times. <keyword id="89958" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shraddha-Kapoor">Shraddha Kapoor</keyword>, who rose to fame with the portrayal of Arohi Keshav Shirke in 2013 release <keyword id="780293" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Aashiqui-2">Aashiqui 2</keyword>, is celebrating her 25th birthday today. Here in, we have one sharp look at the professional journey of one of the most popular young actresses of Indian cinema. 
 
1. The first time we saw Shraddha Kapoor on the silver screen was when she donned the role of a studious geek Aparna Khanna who volunteers in a poker experiment. The year was 2010 and the movie that marked her debut was <keyword id="16035" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="100" keywordseo="Teen-Patti">Teen Patti</keyword>, in which she starred along Amitabh Bachchan and R. Madhavan. The movie could not do well at the box office, resulting in a career setback for Shraddha. Reportedly, she also lost her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s My Friend Pinto because of the movie’s failure. 
 
2. Next year, in 2011, we saw her as a girl next door who gets her heart broken and plans revenge in <keyword id="595028" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Luv-ka-the-End">Luv Ka The End</keyword>. She shared the screen space with Taaha Shah and Ali Zafar. The film was the first production venture of Y-Films, Yash Raj Films’ division for making youth-centric films. Although the film went unnoticed, Shraddha’s performance was appreciated by critics. 
 
3. After taking a year-long break, the young Kapoor lass returned to the screens with the musical romantic saga Aashiqui 2. The movie, which also had Aditya Roy Kapur, was highly successful and Shraddha Kapoor was noticed for her good looks as well as acting prowess. 
 
4. Next in line for the lady was a guest role in Dharma Productions’ Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, in which she played Vasudha, a Tamilian girl in love with a Sikh boy. The lead pair of the movie was Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor, and Shraddha’s role was limited to a few scenes. 
 
5. Came 2014 and Shraddha was seen as Ayesha in another musical romantic thriller Ek Villain. Her role was that of a young girl who falls in love with a goon and transforms him into a family man, only to be killed by a psychopath killer. Her role in the movie was limited to a few flashback scenes other than some songs, given the fact that her character gets killed in the first 15 minutes. 
 
6. Towards the end of 2014, we saw the pretty lady doing a role in Haider, for ace director Vishal Bhardwaj. She portrayed the role of Arshiya, a young Kashmiri journalist in love with the main lead, played by Shahid Kapoor. Her performance and hard work in the movie to get into the skin of a Kashmiri girl were appreciated. 
 
7. She also did an item number, called Dance Basanti, in the movie Ungli. 
 
8. In 2015, she would be seen in Remo D’souza’s next <keyword id="1870207" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="ABCD-2">ABCD 2</keyword>, which is the sequel to 2013’s ABCD: Any Body Can Dance. She is paired opposite Varun Dhawan and portrays a dancer in the movie. Reportedly, she has been working hard to get into the shoes of a dancer. The movie would release in June 2015. 
 
9. She would also began shooting for Rock On 2, the sequel to Rock On!!, which released in 2008. The movie would also stars Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli and would be shot in Shillong. 
 
10. Other than acting, Shraddha Kapoor also has a passion for singing, given her relations with Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle, two of India’s most reputed singers. Shraddha’s mother Shivangi Kapoor is the daughter of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle’s paternal aunt. Shivangi herself is a trained singer, and Shraddha has surely got her singing skills from her. In the recently concluded Global Indian Music Awards, Shraddha Kapoor was awarded the ‘Celebrity Singer Of The Year’ award.

Shraddha Kapoor Turns 25! A Look At Her Bollywood Journey So Far

From a polarising figure to India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who is popularly called as NaMo, has built his own brand with a lot of hard work. 
 
He has sailed in choppy waters with aplomb and today, Modi is the most popular brand in India. The margin of his popularity, relationships, growth and achievements is much higher than his competitors. He is a leader who has been able to connect with global leaders as well as the common man. 
 
Modi, who can also be referred to as the CEO of our country, has taught us innumerable things on becoming a brand. 
 
So, on his 65th birthday, we jot down seven lessons that can be learnt from his life. 
 
1. Optimism &amp; self confidence: His journey from a tea-seller to a leader of world’s largest democracy teaches us about self-confidence and optimism. His life has inspired and has given very important message to three generations - youth, middle aged and old aged-that family background, elite education and age cannot act as a roadblock to one’s dream to achieve something extraordinary in life. 
 
2. Resilience: Modi drew flak from all quarters during 2002 Gujarat riots, both nationally and internationally. Many business leaders questioned favorable environment for businessmen in Gujarat, and countries like the US revoked his visa. During 2014 general elections, few key leaders of his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies were not in favor of his selection as the Prime Ministerial candidate. But, he came out strong from tough situations and surprised everyone with the results. 
 
3. Develop faith: Modi is often criticized for his foreign tours and his government has been through a roller-coaster ride on several issues including black money, Lalit Modi row, Vyapam scam, etc. Still, through counter-attacks and speeches, Modi has instilled a faith in the common man. Also, by pitching India as the best place to invest and highlighting the positives, he has also lead business honchos, worldover, to invest in India. Highlight positives and show your strengths. If you have confidence in yourself, everyone else will also show the same in you. 
 
4. Nurture relationships: NaMo himself has been putting continuous efforts to nurture relationships with various global leaders. The US President Barack Obama attended Republic Day function, Columbia University Professor Jagdish Bhagwati has lauded Modi's Gujarat model of development in his book, yoga guru Baba Ramdev, India’s golden voice Lata Mangeshkar, business tycoon Ratan Tata and many other influential leaders have praised NaMo for his work. 
 
5. Think Different: Ditch the traditional methods and do something offbeat to connect. During the 2014 parliamentary elections, Modi engaged with his target audience using different technologies and innovative campaigns. Through webcasts, data analytics, digitization, 3D holograms, social media, etc, Modi was omnipresent. His ‘chai pe charcha’ campaign was a hit. 
 
6. Communication and keep in touch: It’s not that NaMo, who is an excellent communicator, forgot his audiences after elections. His monthly address ‘Mann ki baat’ is still a rage among Indians. Modi’s speeches are articulate and well-crafted which also touch an emotional nerve. Communication is one of the best tools, which can really build a brand. 
 
7. Vision &amp; knowledge: Modi has great insights on challenges faced by public, his knowledge on historic and cultural facts are also remarkable. Most importantly, he has a vision to make India an efficient and modern country that thrives in various industries and fields. He wants to turn India into world’s manufacturing hub and his ‘Make in India’ initiative has already garnered lot of steam. It is important to targets and a vision and tread of that path.
