The truck starts at $39,900 for the most basic Work Truck model. The company claims its supercar will put out a positively outrageous 2,200 horsepower and 1,475 pound-feet of torque. For comparison, the $3.3 million Bugatti Chiron <em>only </em>offers 1,500 horses or so. </p><div type="image" title="The Deus Vayanne." height="1875" width="2500" msid="90943584" hostid="261"></div><p>The Vayanne, according to Deus, will have a top speed of 248 mph and can hit 60 mph in less than two seconds. </p><p>Impossibly low to the ground and sculpted, the Vayanne also looks the part. Deus says its rear is inspired by the infinity symbol. The Deus Vayanne is limited to 99 examples, and deliveries are set to begin in 2025. </p><h2><strong>Kia EV9 concept</strong></h2><div type="image" title="The Kia EV9." height="1370" width="1827" msid="90943585" hostid="261"></div><p>Kia took the opportunity to show off its EV9 concept, which previews a large SUV to slot above the compact <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/kia-ev6-electric-suv-battery-pack-cooking-2022-4">EV6</a>. Boxy and imposing, the EV9 concept looks like a futuristic take on Kia's popular Telluride SUV. </p><p>Kia says the EV9 will have more than 300 miles of range when it hits US dealerships in 2023. We hope the SUV looks a lot like this concept when it comes to life, but some of the EV9's most interesting design elements — like its suicide doors — probably won't make it into production. </p><h2><strong>Indi One</strong></h2><p><strong></strong></p><div type="image" title="Indi EV Indi One" height="1571" width="2095" msid="90943586" hostid="261"></div><p>You'd be forgiven for not being aware of Indi EV, given the sheer number of electric-vehicle startups trying to make a name for themselves at this very moment. </p><p>Los Angeles-based Indi was founded in 2017 and kicked off preorders for its first model, an SUV called the Indi One, at the auto show. Here's how Indi is different from other upstarts: It included a powerful computer in the Indi One that it calls the "Vehicle Integrated Computer." </p><div type="image" title="Indi EV Indi One." height="1667" width="2500" msid="90943587" hostid="261"></div><p>This, Indi says, will allow people to play video games, make video calls for work, use social media, and do other things normally reserved for a regular computer. Indi says pricing starts at $45,000, and deliveries will start next year. </p><h2><strong>Vinfast VF8 and VF9</strong></h2><p><strong></strong></p><div type="image" title="Vinfast VF8." height="1667" width="2500" msid="90943588" hostid="261"></div><p>Vietnamese carmaker Vinfast showed off two electric models that are heading to the US this year: the VF8 midsize SUV and VF9 full-size SUV. Despite coming from a company — and a country — that's never sold cars of any kind stateside, they blend right in with the electric and gas SUVs on the market.</p><div type="image" title="The Vinfast VF9." height="1688" width="2500" msid="90943590" hostid="261"></div><p>It'll undoubtedly be difficult for a new brand to break into the American market. But the large VF9 hits a segment that has barely any electric options at the moment. There are several compact and medium-sized electric SUVs to choose from, but only a couple with a third row like the VF9. </p><p>To keep costs down, Vinfast is having customers lease their batteries for a monthly fee. And we can report that it looks great in person. For the US, VW will stretch the van slightly to make room for third-row seating. But a few stand out as being the most fun to drive. </p><p>To be sure, "fun" as a concept is broad and subjective. The tea-drinking crossword puzzler has a different definition than the all-night raver. And the same goes for cars. </p><p>These four vehicles put a smile on my face, got my heart racing, or all of the above. </p><h2><strong>Kia EV6 GT</strong></h2><p><strong></strong></p><div type="image" title="The 2023 Kia EV6 GT." height="1467" width="2200" msid="99812351" hostid="261" sizebytes="922776"></div><p>Warn your passengers to brace themselves before pinning it in <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/kia-ev6-gt-electric-suv-review-tesla-rival-2023-2">Kia's new EV6 GT</a>. I got behind the wheel of California startup Rivian's first model back in 2021 and <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/rivian-r1t-ev-electric-pickup-first-drive-impressions-photos-2021-9">had an absolute blast tackling trails in the Colorado mountains</a>. </p><p>The rugged R1T amounts to something like a cheat code for off-roading. I came in with zero off-pavement experience and in no time found myself gleefully crawling over beachball-sized boulders, fording streams, and zooming up gravelly hills. After <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/porsche-taycan-turbo-s-cross-turismo-electric-car-review-2022-6">taking a spin in the brand's Taycan Cross Turismo Turbo S</a>, I can see why. </p><p>I didn't take the electric station wagon to the track or anything, but even on public roads it felt unlike any other car I've driven. Through every turn, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/porsche-taycan-4s-review-ev-electric-sedan-tesla-lucid-mercedes-2021-3">the Taycan</a> felt stable and almost glued to the road. And thanks to its tight steering, I felt remarkably connected to it. Still, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/hummer-ev-photos-electric-pickup-truck-review-gmc-edition-1-2022-11">the Hummer EV</a> is a joy when you have a bit more space to roam. <p>The six-figure truck feels like a supersized, incredibly expensive toy.</p><p>It has removable glass panels for a roof and quickness that makes absolutely no sense for a 9,000-pound vehicle. It can turn all four wheels the same direction and <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/gmc-hummer-crab-mode-crawl-diagonally-across-sand-ev-truck-2020-9">drive diagonally</a>. Polestar pegs range at around 300 miles, and pricing starts at $83,900.</p><h2><strong>Tesla Cybertruck</strong></h2><div type="image" title="The Tesla Cybertruck undergoes testing in water." height="1046" width="2094" msid="102749278" hostid="261"></div><p><a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/tesla">Tesla</a>'s outlandish pickup truck has been coming "soon" for a while now. But it looks like the wait is almost over for Tesla's patient fans.</p><p>Tesla has started early production of the truck at its Texas plant, and customer deliveries are scheduled for later this year. The top-tier RST edition will be the first truck available to non-commercial customers, bringing along with it a staggering price tag of $105,000.</p><p>The Ford F-150 Lightning's biggest rival will target up to 664 horsepower and 780 pound-feet of torque. In the US, the German brand now sells the i4 and i7 sedans, along with the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/bmw-ix-electric-suv-review-price-interior-2022-4">stunning iX SUV</a>.</p><p>The i5, an electric version of the brand's 5-Series sedan, is up next, slated to go on sale in the US this fall.</p><div type="image" title="A red BMW sedan driving down a road. Pricing starts at $66,800.</p><h2>Chevrolet Equinox EV</h2><div type="image" title="A blue Chevrolet Equinox EV SUV." height="1551" width="2500" msid="102749290" hostid="261"></div><p>Is the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/chevy-equinox-ev-range-price-release-date-cheap-electric-suv-2022-9#:~:text=Chevrolet%20unveiled%20the%202024%20Equinox,t%20be%20available%20until%202024.">Equinox EV</a> as outwardly <em>cool </em>as a sporty BMW sedan or a stainless-steel pickup truck shaped like a wedge of cheese? No chance. But the Equinox EV brings something lacking to the EV world: affordability.</p><p>Chevy says the base version of the small SUV will cost around $30,000 — less than half the price of most cars on this list — and offer a solid 250 miles of driving range.</p><div type="image" title="The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox EV." height="419" width="838" msid="102749291" hostid="261"></div><p>But GM is making us wait for the cheapest model, which it says will go on sale sometime in 2024. Chinese electric carmaker <keyword id="6482256" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="byd-india" source="Orion">BYD India</keyword> on Wednesday unveiled its new luxury sedan <keyword id="15977324" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="byd-seal" source="Orion">BYD Seal</keyword> which, it said, will be launched in the country during the last quarter of 2023.<br /><br />The Chinese electric car maker also claimed that <keyword id="67247" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="byd" source="Orion">BYD</keyword> Seal has a range of up to 700 km on a single charge.<br /><br />"With the unveiling of the electric luxury sedan BYD Seal, and the launch of the limited edition of BYD ATTO 3, Blade Battery, and the e-Platform 3.0, we resonate our commitment to contribute to the growth of the Indian electric vehicle segment with future EV technologies," <keyword id="13023382" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="sanjay-gopalakrishnan" source="Orion">Sanjay Gopalakrishnan</keyword>, Senior Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicles of BYD <keyword id="3658" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="india" source="Orion">India</keyword>, said.<br /><br />Only 1,200 units of this limited edition of BYD ATTO 3 will be available in India at Rs 34.49 lakh (ex-showroom).<br /><br />"Today, we are also very honored to announce that the first batch of BYD ATTO 3 delivery starts. This calendar year, we plan to sell 15,000 units of BYD ATTO 3 &amp; All-New e6. Auto Expo 2023: Chinese electric carmaker BYD India to launch luxury sedan in 2023's last quarter

<keyword id="596" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="hyundai" source="Orion">Hyundai</keyword> Motor on Monday launched the N brand's first all-electric model, the Ioniq 5 N, in the domestic market as it accelerates its transition to a future mobility solutions provider.<br /><br />The Ioniq 5 N, first unveiled at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed in Great Britain in July, comes with an 84 kWh battery pack and can accelerate from zero to 100 kph in 3.4 seconds, the company said in a statement.<br /><br />The new model represents a new segment of driver-focused high-performance EVs since it boasts advanced cornering and racetrack capabilities as an everyday sportscar, reports Yonhap news agency.<br /><br />It is priced at $58,000 after individual consumption taxes and tax benefits given to environment-friendly vehicles. It can travel about 350 kms on a single charge, the statement said.<br /><br />Ioniq 5 N combines the standard Ioniq 5 model's electric global modular platform (E-GMP) with N's motorsport-bred technologies. E-GMP is Hyundai Motor Group's dedicated EV platform.<br /><br />Hyundai's Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 are built on the E-GMP platform, with the same platform-based Ioniq 7 set to be released next year.<br /><br />Hyundai's independent Genesis brand's GV60 SUV, and its smaller affiliate Kia Corp.'s EV6 and EV9 SUVs also share the E-GMP platform.<br /><br />The maker of Sonata sedans and <keyword id="141245" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="santa-fe" source="Orion">Santa Fe</keyword> SUVs plans to invest 109.4 trillion won by 2032 to secure a leading position in the global future mobility market, while aiming to sell 1 million pure electric models by 2030.<br /><br />Hyundai's first dedicated EV factory, the 300,000-unit-a-year Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Georgia, the U.S., is under construction with a goal to start operations in the second half of 2024.<br /><br />Another EV-dedicated plant is being built in Korea with the aim of starting production in 2025.<br /><br />The N models bring full performance capability to daily driving, while the <keyword id="10035310" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="n-line" source="Orion">N Line</keyword> brings performance-inspired elements to base model vehicles.
