Encrypted messaging platform <keyword id="19936816" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="signal" source="keywords">Signal</keyword> is launching usernames for chats to keep your phone number private. As a new default, the phone number will no longer be visible to everyone in Signal. "People who have your number saved in their phone's contacts will still see your phone number since they already know it," the company said in a statement. You can now create a unique username that you can use instead (you will still need a phone number to sign up for Signal). "A username is not the profile name that's displayed in chats, it's not a permanent handle, and not visible to the people you are chatting with in Signal. A username is simply a way to initiate contact on Signal without sharing your phone number," the company explained. The users can also now enable a new, optional privacy setting. "Unless people have your exact unique username, they won't be able to start a conversation, or even know that you have a Signal account - even if they have your phone number," said the company These options are currently in beta and will be rolling out to everyone in the coming weeks. According to the company, once these features roll out, your phone number will no longer be visible in Signal to anyone running the latest version of Signal who doesn't already have it saved in their phone's contacts. "We're also introducing a setting that lets you control who can find you by your phone number on Signal," it added. As last reported, Signal had 40 million active users. Don’t be disappointed by that, because the 650 variant still retains the Versys DNA, and is an awesome, if not ‘affordable’ (ahem ahem) sport tourer at Rs. 6.6 lakhs. 
 
Features? 
Don’t be turned off by its ‘affordable’ tag, the Versys 650 is known for its meaty performance, versatility and awesome handling. The Versys 650 also comes with all the bells and whistles you’d expect in a bike of this class - standard ABS, height adjustable front windscreen and a gigantic 21 litres fuel tank. Riding long distances on the Versys 650 is going to be a breeze. 
 
It’s a Sports Tourer, right? True, that. The <keyword id="3183022" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="Kawasaki-Versys-650">Kawasaki Versys 650</keyword> is a middleweight sports touring motorcycle. This is not the one to go with if you want a full-on adventure tourer. However, the extremely seating position and high 170mm ground clearance and single monoshock means it can tackle rough roads. Maybe not the worst of roads, but bad. That’s it. 
 
But it’s a lesser engine *Sigh*

Here's all you need to know about Kawasaki’s new Versys 650

New <keyword id="19900881" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="delhi" source="keywords">Delhi</keyword>, The Delhi government on Tuesday issued fresh guidelines for handling end-of-life vehicles in public places, stipulating a penalty of Rs 10,000 for four-wheelers and Rs 5,000 for two-wheelers to be imposed on owners of impounded vehicles before being released. According to the guidelines, continuous enforcement drives should be conducted to phase out such vehicles from public places in the national capital and daily reports sent to the environment department for onward submission to the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM). The government has classified the release procedure of impounded vehicles under two categories -- those who wish to shift their vehicle out of Delhi-NCR and those who wish to park the vehicle in private spaces which are not shared parking places. "On plying and parking of ELVs in public place in NCT of Delhi, once impounded for the first time it can be released on the basis of submission of an undertaking that vehicle will not be plied or parked in any public place within the territory of Delhi and will be removed from the city...," the guidelines read "In case of 4-wheeler, a penalty of Rs 10,000 along with towing charge and parking fee as notified in <keyword id="20667071" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="delhi-maintenance-and-management-of-parking-places-rules" source="keywords">Delhi Maintenance and Management of Parking Places Rules</keyword>, 2019, shall be charged before releasing of such ELVs. In case of 2-wheeler, a penalty of Rs 5,000 along with towing charge and parking fee as notified in Parking Rules 2019 shall be charged...," it said. According to the guidelines, any end-of-life vehicle impounded for the second time and transport vehicles running on diesel fuel and aged more than 10 years old cannot be released. The application for the release of a vehicle along with necessary documents should be submitted within three weeks of impounding of the vehicle and an online platform will be developed for this purpose, it said. According to the guidelines, impounded vehicles will be scrapped in case of three scenarios -- non-submission of application for release within three weeks of impounding of the vehicle, rejection of application submitted for release and impounding of the same vehicle for the second time. All scrap value shall be paid through digital mode only to the bank account in the name of the vehicle owner within 15 days of the vehicle being accepted by the <keyword id="20663769" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="registered-vehicles-scrapping-facility" source="keywords">Registered Vehicles Scrapping Facility</keyword>, it added.
