Nagesh on Friday announced that the results of <keyword id="63505" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="SSLC" source="Orion">SSLC</keyword> (Class 10) would be declared on May 19. About 8.73 lakh students in the state had taken up SSLC exams amid the hijab row crisis in the state. Muslim students, barring few, shunned hijab to appear in the crucial examinations. This was the first time after the Covid pandemic that the exams were conducted in the normal pattern. Section 144 CrPC was clamped in and around 3,444 examination centres across the state and tight security arrangements were made at all examination centres to avoid any showdown or untoward incidents. As many as 8,73,846 students - 4,52,732 boys and 4,21,110 girls students - were enrolled for the exams this academic year. Four students belonging to the third gender and 5,307 specially-abled children also took up exams. The state government had also set up helplines for the students. TN SSLC result: Tamil Nadu Board to declare class 10 board exam result soon

Bihar School Examination Board uploads updated class 10th and class 12th results

<ul><li>The Karnataka government on Tuesday decided to conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET) on July 30 and 31 across the state.</li><li>For this, the government has extended a four-day quarantine relaxation for students and their parents or guardians from outside the state and country.</li><li>The Kannada Test for students from the border regions in neighbouring states will be held on August 1, Dr Narayan said. </li></ul>Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Karnataka government on Tuesday decided to conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET) on July 30 and 31 across the state. For the smooth conduct of exams, the government has extended a four-day quarantine relaxation for students and their parents or guardians from outside the state and country. Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Higher Education Dr C N Ashwath Narayan told reporters that the government would take precautionary measures to conduct the CET as it did during the SSLC examination. His department said in a statement that 1.95 lakh students will write the CET exams at 120 places in 497 centres across the state. The Kannada Test for students from the border regions in neighbouring states will be held on August 1, Dr Narayan said. In Bengaluru City, 40,200 students will write CET in 83 centres. Thirty foreign students will also take the exam The Deputy Chief Minister said the department has taken all precautionary measures and has framed the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to conduct the exams. Thermal screening, wearing of masks and physical distance will be strictly followed. The exam centres will be sanitised two days prior to the exam dates. "The state government has also decided that those students who are tested positive for COVID-19 can also be given the opportunity to write the exam. However, there will be separate rooms arranged for them. Students who show symptoms of cough and cold will also be made to write the exam separately. The 348 people with vitamin D levels below 20 nanograms per millilitre (ng/mL) were started on supplements with 400 international units of vitamin D and 500 milligrams of calcium twice daily, while those with vitamin D levels equal to or greater than 20 ng/mL were not given supplements. According to the study, 512 people in the observation group did not have their vitamin D levels monitored and they did not get supplements. Those in the intervention group who took the supplements had a lower recurrence rate for vertigo episodes after an average of one year than those in the observation group. People taking supplements had an average recurrence rate of 0.83 times per person-year, compared to 1.10 times per person-year for those in the observation group, or a 24 per cent reduction in the annual recurrence rate. There appeared to be a greater benefit for those who were more deficient in vitamin D at the start of the study. "Our study suggests an inexpensive, low-risk treatment like vitamin D and calcium tablets may be effective at preventing this common, and commonly recurring, disorder," Kim noted.
