<ul class="summary-list"><li>Warning: There are massive spoilers ahead for "<keyword id="10243932" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="fear-twd">Fear TWD</keyword>," season 6 episode 12, "In Dreams."</li><li><keyword id="1673077" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Karen-David">Karen David</keyword> speaks with Insider about the unexpected, heart-wrenching twist at the episode's end.</li><li>"There are so many that have gone through this sadly, including my family and some of my dear friends," David said.</li></ul><p>Season six, episode 12 of "<a href="https://insider.com/category/fear-twd">Fear the Walking Dead</a>" ended on a heartbreaking reveal.</p><p>After making it seem like a pregnant Grace (Karen David) would be killed off the show, the episode's final minutes took an unexpected turn. </p><p>One of the series' most gutting endings to date, airing on Mother's Day, Grace gave birth to a stillborn baby girl, Athena. A defeated Morgan (Lennie James), who tried to revive the infant, told the grieving mother, "I don't understand."</p><p>The entire episode Grace slowly accepted that she was going to die in order for her daughter to live and bring hope to their fractured group of survivors. Instead, Sunday's episode closed with Grace cradling Athena in her arms, concluding that the dream-like reverie she was in and out of as she laid unconscious all episode weren't her final moments, but those of her daughter.</p><div type="image" title="fear twd 612 grace" height="1376" width="1200" msid="82541279" hostid="261"></div><p>"When I read the script, I cried. I was taking deep breaths," David told Insider by phone Monday. "I was so deeply moved by it because of personal experiences through family and friends."</p><p>When filming halted <a href="https://deadline.com/2020/03/coronavirus-norman-reedus-walking-dead-shutdown-spinoff-kevin-can-f-himself-amc-1202882946/">on "Fear" in March 2020 due to the pandemic</a>, it gave David the opportunity to do further research to ensure she was handling this delicate storyline with care. David sought out forums and organizations and spoke with family and friends who opened up about their own loss with the actress.</p><p>"I really wanted to infuse their experiences their feelings and their grieving processes, I wanted to infuse all of that into Grace's experience," David said of the preparation that went into bringing Sunday's episode to screen.</p><p>David shared with Insider how Athena's death will affect Grace and her relationships moving forward on the "TWD" spinoff. And, just because Grace is still alive, right now, David hints that Grace may not be out of harm's way yet.</p><h2><strong>'Fear TWD' showrunners sat David down to tell her Grace would lose her baby. The pandemic gave her extra time to further prepare for the episode's emotional turn.</strong></h2><p><strong><div type="image" title="fear twd 612 karen david grace " height="2000" width="3000" msid="82541280" hostid="261"></div></strong></p><p><strong>Kirsten Acuna: I've seen you speaking with so many of the fans over the past few days. Was this the most difficult episode of 'Fear' or maybe of television you've ever made?</strong></p><p><strong>Karen David:</strong> It was definitely an emotionally challenging episode to make, for all of us. We knew how emotionally challenging this episode would be for Grace [and] for everyone involved, but I was in the best of hands, the safest of hands. I love my <keyword id="6355065" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="TV">TV</keyword> family and they are so wonderful each and every day on any episode.</p><p>With this particular episode, everyone knowing what was to come for my character, Grace, every day - even now in the lead up to filming, and whilst we were filming, I'd get these random hugs from crew and they'd be cheering Grace and I on. I just felt so incredibly loved. I felt so supported. I felt so elevated by everyone's positive energy. That really, really helps because it was a tough one, but something that I'm so proud of to be touching on very important subjects. There are so many that have gone through this sadly, including my family and some of my dear friends.</p><div type="image" title="fear twd 612 grace tape player" height="2000" width="3000" msid="82541282" hostid="261"></div><p><strong>Acuna: You hit on so many things that I want to come back to. Were you crying, reading this script? Because I was crying throughout this episode for different reasons. </strong></p><p><strong>David: </strong>When I first got the script, [showrunners] Ian [Goldberg] and Andrew [Chambliss] had sat me down. This is pre-pandemic. When they were telling me of what was to come and even just hearing it from them, I had to take deep breaths. We always knew that Grace was in a very dangerous situation with her own health, having been exposed to so much radiation that a pregnancy on top of that would pose not only a risk to her own life, but also possibly to her baby's life. I think that just added to the gravity and the severity of her situation. [With 'Fear' unable to film], I had this extended gift of time, so to speak, to really delve into my preparation and how I was going to tackle this.</p><p>When I read the script, I cried, I was taking deep breaths. I was so deeply moved by it because of personal experiences through family and friends. I also thought, 'Wow, this is such a gift of an episode,' which is such an honor for me to tell Grace's story. As an actor, you can only hope and pray that you bring as much heart and soul and empathy and compassion and authenticity to a character's truth and to the storyline. This excited me, but it also petrified me at the same time.</p><h2>Friends and family entrusted David with their own personal experiences of loss to help bring Grace's story to life.</h2><div type="image" title="fear twd 612 grace karen david" height="2000" width="3000" msid="82541287" hostid="261"></div><p><strong>Acuna: When you sat down with Ian and Andrew, did you think that this episode was going to be your swan song - the end for Grace - or did they lay out how this was going to play out?</strong></p><p><strong>David:</strong> Ian and Andrew laid out everything really clearly for me. It's the nature of our universe. Anyone's time could be up, but especially with Grace. She came into this family where everyone knew that her clock was ticking. For Grace, back in season five, it was about trying to put things back together, for herself, but also to make up for the choices and decisions that she made in the past that she deeply regretted and which affected the people that she cared about and love, including, her baby daddy, Matthew. She didn't want a repeat of what happened in the past to happen to Morgan, [and] to the group that she's come to know and love. It was always about trying to get as much said because she did not know when heaven's doors would be calling upon her.</p><p>By seeing her relationship grow with Morgan and the group, they've encouraged her and certainly played a huge role in allowing herself to open up and to dare to hope and have given her a sort of a renewed sense of purpose moving forward. When she finds out she's pregnant, that really changes everything. I think it's, for lack of a better word, a saving grace, for her because she's found a reason to live and she knows, like everyone else, how important her child is and what this child represents to the group, to the future - this huge sense of hope. It just makes it all the more devastating in the end when she loses her daughter.</p><div type="image" title="fear twd 612 athena grace karen david" height="2000" width="3000" msid="82541289" hostid="261"></div><p><strong>Acuna: Miscarriages and stillborn children are not a topic that is usually handled often on television. When this idea was presented to you, what was some of the preparation that you did? You had mentioned that this is something that other people in your life around you have experienced. Did you lean on those people? </strong></p><p><strong>David:</strong> Yes. Sadly, stillborn deaths and infancy loss, miscarriages, are increasingly common amongst many families and talking to my family and to my dear friends, who are so, so incredibly supportive and courageous to open up their hearts to talk about their experiences. Everyone's experience is very different. Everyone's grieving process is different. When I was doing research, I logged onto many forums and groups and organizations where they posted videos from different families who bravely shared their experiences. I had to press pause. It was so heart-wrenching and affected me so deeply. I knew it more than ever after hearing all their stories and my family's and friends that I needed to handle this with the utmost sensitivity and with respect and dignity. </p><p>I really wanted to infuse their experiences their feelings, their grieving processes, I wanted to infuse all of that into Grace's experience. Hats off to [writer] Nazrin Choudhury, Ian, and Andrew who penned this so beautifully and poignantly and with such immense care. I'm just really proud of this universe. Aesthetically, stylistically, this is an episode we've never done before, and certainly storyline-wise to bring awareness to these important subjects, which many families have been through I think, if anything, to show them love and support and that they are seen.</p><h2>David wasn't positive if Athena died because of the radiation or other trauma. Grace could still be affected by the radiation. </h2><p><strong><div type="image" title="fear twd 612 grace athena" height="2000" width="3000" msid="82541290" hostid="261"></div></strong></p><p><strong>Acuna: Is Grace still affected by the radiation? Did Athena absorb it? I'm not sure if you know. </strong></p><p><strong>David: </strong>There's always room for speculation. Grace has been exposed to a lot of radiation. The baby, I don't know.* For me, personally, the baby had to have been affected by not only the radiation exposure, but also, in the apocalypse, we don't have all the facilities and everything that we have now with the hospitals, and the equipment, and the care, and the expertise. Being set against the apocalyptic backdrop is one thing. But [Morgan and Grace] were in a car explosion, which we later find out as Grace is trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together.</p><p>This baby's been through a lot, along with Grace. I don't necessarily think Grace is out of the woods yet. I don't know. What I do know is that, she, like any parent who has experienced the loss of a child, it's something you never get over. You can only hope and pray that each day might possibly give some breathing space, to feel some sense of normality, but it doesn't. It is a cross that she is going to have to bear for the rest of her days. She's going to go through the seven stages of grief now, and I can only hope that she comes out of this with some kind of solace or peace, but it's a big ask at this point.</p><h2><strong>As 'Fear' continues, we'll see how the loss of Athena affects Grace and all of her relationships moving forward, including Morgan.</strong></h2><p><strong><div type="image" title="fear twd 612 lennie james morgan" height="1575" width="2819" msid="82541292" hostid="261"></div></strong></p><p><strong>David:</strong> It will affect everything in her life, her relationships with everyone, including Morgan. This is something that she has to go through and she will have to go through on her own. Just thinking about it, my heart just breaks so much for her. Again, I'm just really proud that we're talking about these important subjects, postnatal depression, as well. It was a big episode and the last scene was a really tough one for all of us, but I love this TV family so much. This experience that we all went through together, throughout this whole episode, is something that will stay very dear to my heart. For many, she's the brighter side to Florida's angry governor. We are going to learn that the more Casey DeSantis gets out there," Jolly added.</p><p>Since leaving office, Jolly had made regular appearances as a <a href="https://www.shumaker.com/professionals/E-J/david-jolly" target="_blank" rel="noopener">political analyst for media outlets</a> like MSNBC and CNN.</p><p>Casey DeSantis, a former news anchor, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/casey-desantis-wife-ron-desantis-florida-governor-profile-2022-11">has been credited with</a> boosting her husband Ron's 2024 presidential campaign and <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/ron-casey-desantis-the-desanti-ex-staffer-say-2023-5">improving the governor's image.</a></p><p>"It's clear she's the X factor. They complete the political element that is Ron DeSantis. Without Casey, he would not be the same person," Scott Parkinson, one of Ron DeSantis' former chief of staff in the US House of Representatives, <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/casey-desantis-wife-ron-desantis-florida-governor-profile-2022-11" rel="">previously told Insider</a>.</p><p>But Gov. DeSantis's <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/disney-desantis-feud-timeline-parental-rights-education-florida-2023-4">bitter feud with Disney</a> and his reputation for <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/ron-desantis-feud-democrats-inviting-florida-businesses-to-their-states-2022-7">spearheading Republican culture wars</a> — among other factors — may be hurting his presidential ambitions. Former GOP lawmaker says Casey DeSantis is 'America's Karen' to a lot of people, and she can only do so much to help her husband Ron

<ul class="summary-list"><li>"<keyword id="952399" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="60" keywordseo="The-Walking-Dead">The Walking Dead</keyword>" has historically shot on 16mm film to preserve a grainy, classic horror look.</li><li>Because of the pandemic, the final 30 episodes of the show are being shot digitally.</li><li>Showrunner Angela Kang tells Insider they shot differently as a safety precaution. </li></ul><p>When "<a href="https://insider.com/category/the-walking-dead">The Walking Dead</a>" returns to <keyword id="6358378" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="amc">AMC</keyword> on Sunday with <a href="https://www.insider.com/the-walking-dead-season-10-extra-episodes">six bonus episodes</a> the look of the show may feel slightly different. For the first time, the series was shot digitally instead of on film. </p><p style="font-weight: 400;">"Yes, these episodes are filmed on digital," showrunner Angela Kang confirmed to Insider of the series' extended 10th season via email as the show films during the pandemic.</p><p style="font-weight: 400;">"The decision came about because there are fewer 'touch points' with digital than 16mm. We don't have to swap out film every few minutes, for example."</p><p>If you're a fan of the show, that's a big deal.</p><h2>Historically, 'TWD' has filmed on 16mm and 35mm film, and initially planned to continue doing so until the pandemic</h2><div type="image" title="twd season 11 filming masks" height="1380" width="2000" msid="81117280" hostid="261"></div><p>In 2016, "TWD" cinematographer Stephen Campbell spoke with <a href="https://theasc.com/ac_magazine/November2016/TheWalkingDead/page2.html">The American Society of Cinematographers</a> in great detail about the approach to shooting the series with a consistent look on film for years.</p><p>"One of the things that drives the show is the fact that we shoot on 16mm film," Campbell said. </p><p>After the first six-episode season, the series briefly considered filming digitally, before committing to film.</p><p>"Although they did test digital formats during the second season, they decided, 'That's not the show,'" Campbell said. "Because the show, being on 16mm, has additional grain in it. It has motion blur, if only because it's still going through a gate. That adds a bit of a classic horror vibe to the show. And I think they'll maintain shooting with film as we go on with the show."</p><p>They did. </p><div type="image" title="twd season 11 filming aaron gabe" height="1137" width="2000" msid="81117282" hostid="261"></div>In June 2019, Kang <a href="https://comicbook.com/thewalkingdead/news/the-walking-dead-keep-shooting-film-preserve-look-feel-showrunner-angela-kang/">told Variety</a> they considered digital again, but decided to continue shooting on 16mm because there's "something that differentiates the daytime zombie look that's on the 16 that is not exactly the same as when we try to mimic it with digital."<p>Now that the show's filming digitally, Kang told Insider the show will make post-production efforts to make sure the show continues to have the same look.</p><p>"We will be continuing on digital in season 11 but using post-production techniques to maintain our classic 'TWD' feel," Kang said via email.</p><h2><strong>The show's switch to digital for its final episodes is one of many precautions AMC has taken while filming during the pandemic.</strong></h2><div type="image" title="twd season 11 filming" height="839" width="1513" msid="81117284" hostid="261"></div><p>In addition to changing the way they film the show, AMC enlisted a former Army medic and infectious diseases specialist as the show's health and safety supervisor. They're also consulting with an epidemiologist.</p><p>"We've got our own mobile lab to process tests so that there's no delay in test processing," Kang <a href="https://ew.com/tv/walking-dead-covid-19-filming-showrunner-angela-kang/">told Entertainment Weekly in September</a>. "There's no more shared makeup trailer. They would all be there and singing karaoke and stuff, but you just can't do that. So they've got their own little pods, but there's windows so that they can still see each other."</p><p>In addition to recommended regulation masks, you'll see crew and cast wearing face shields.</p><p>"There's specific pathways that actors will be taken down so that there's not a lot of contact between groups," Kang added.</p><p>"<keyword id="2830441" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Fear-the-Walking-Dead">Fear the Walking Dead</keyword>" star Christine Evangelista told Insider back in October she was initially worried about going back to work because of the amount of people who work on the show, but she emphasized how impressed she was with the measures put in place. The actress, who plays Sherry, <a href="https://www.insider.com/fear-twd-sherry-return-christine-evangelista-interview">made a big return to the franchise after departing "TWD" in 2017</a>.</p><p>"Having done it now and being in it is beyond exceeded any expectation I could have had, but AMC has taken this extraordinarily serious," Evangelista said. </p><div type="image" title="feartwd sherry dwight 603" height="1333" width="2000" msid="81117287" hostid="261"></div><p>While filming "Fear" last fall, Evangelista said cast would show up to set early and there was a system where you get temperature tested, get COVID-19 tested, and wait in a trailer until you're released to go to hair and makeup. Some trailers on set are just for hand washing.</p><p>"If anything, things are way more clean than they ever were before," Evangelista added. "On a show where you live outside and you're covered in dirt, whether it's real or fake, things are very, very, very clean now and very organized. I don't take that for granted."</p><h2>For the first time in the franchise's history, all three 'Walking Dead' series are simultaneously <a href="https://twitter.com/ScottMGimple/status/1361386707996667905">filming new seasons</a>.</h2><div type="image" title="twd season 11 filming " height="833" width="1498" msid="81117289" hostid="261"></div><p>The flagship series began filming its final 11th season in Georgia, Atlanta specifically, while "The Walking Dead: World Beyond" is back to filming in Virginia. "Fear the Walking Dead" is filming its seventh season in <keyword id="15710" type="ENTERTAINMENT" weightage="60" keywordseo="texas">Texas</keyword>, which is currently dealing with a winter storm that <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/texas-blackouts-millions-lost-power-in-storm-went-wrong-2021-2">has shut down power plants and caused blackouts</a>.</p><p>When asked how the "FearTWD" cast and crew are faring, an AMC representative confirmed to Insider Thursday that "everyone is safe."</p><p>Wednesday, star Karen David shared <a href="https://www.instagram.com/karendavidofficial/">she was without power or heating</a>. David later shared that her power returned Thursday.</p><p>"We have no power or heating, but we are making it work. So far, so good. Thankful for gas," David wrote in part on Instagram. "We have jars and bottles filled up with water, blankets and wearing layers, cupboards are open so our pipes hopefully don't freeze tonight. Be safe and warm, Texans."</p><p>The first of six new "TWD" episodes premieres on AMC on February 28. If you have AMC+, you can watch the first episode a week early starting February 21. 'The Walking Dead' may look and feel a bit different for its final 11th season

"Fear" was in the process of filming the original finale back in March when <a href="https://deadline.com/2020/03/coronavirus-norman-reedus-walking-dead-shutdown-spinoff-kevin-can-f-himself-amc-1202882946/">production on the show came to a halt</a>.</p><p>"We were a couple of days shy of finishing production on 608 when the pandemic shut us down," coshowrunner and executive producer Andrew Chambliss told Insider. </p><p>Insider caught up with Chambliss and coshowrunner and executive producer Ian Goldberg to get real about why the show feels completely different this season and how the title of Sunday's episode connects to Strand's (Colman Domingo) difficult decision by the end of the mid-season finale. </p><p>The duo also told us we'll finally learn who saved Morgan later this season, weighed in on our dream for a "<keyword id="10243932" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="60" keywordseo="fear-twd">Fear TWD</keyword>" and "Walking Dead" merger, and told us how the latter half of the season — which is currently filming — was tweaked in light of the pandemic.</p><h2><strong>The showrunners said </strong><strong>'Fear TWD' is good again because in season six they reinvented the series.</strong></h2><div type="image" title="feartwd 607 alicia" height="4047" width="6072" msid="79361567" hostid="261"></div><p><strong>Insider: I don't know what changed, but holy cow. This first half of season six is the best "Fear" has been since season three. If you recall, I was <a href="https://www.insider.com/fear-twd-showunners-discuss-cliffhanger-season-5-finale-2019-9">giving you guys a bit of a hard time at the end of season five</a>. What changed? And don't say it was just turning it into an anthology.</strong></p><p><strong>Andrew Chambliss:</strong> Our intention at the end of season five was to bring our characters to kind of their most optimistic place and then tear the rug out from under them and test them in ways that we had never seen them tested before and take everyone to kind of the depths of who they are. Then [you] see who breaks down in those situations, who thrives, who can rise above it.</p><p>So I think just by virtue of the fact that we separated everyone and we took away their control and their agency, it really forced us to dig down deep with these characters and really examine who they are, who they want to be, who they think they can become. That I think is what has been so exciting about the storytelling and has led to some really interesting stuff coming out of these characters.</p><p><strong>I heard that maybe some people on the show were a little frustrated with their character directions and how they were acting a bit out of character. I'm not going to name names, but maybe that feedback helped guide and inspire a revitalization in the show because, guys, it's fricking good. It's like I'm watching an entirely different show. Characters are acting in ways that they should be. Strand is back to being Strand. Alicia's not painting trees. Is there anything else that you guys can can say there? </strong></p><p><strong>Ian Goldberg:</strong> We're obviously constantly talking to the cast and we say this every season, but it really is true: Every eight episodes we try and reinvent the show, with every season, with every half season. And I think the re-invention with season six, maybe it's just more pronounced than it has been between seasons before because it is such a total shift from season five and the brightness and optimism that the characters were going through.</p><p>Like Andrew said, that's been exciting for us because it's about taking the characters from their highest highs to their lowest lows and seeing how they react when they've all been kicked in the teeth, which I think has been super exciting. And it's been fun to have those conversations with the cast as well because they're getting to play entirely different shades of these characters. </p><h2><strong>Sunday night's episode wasn't supposed to be the mid-season finale. </strong></h2><div type="image" title="grace feartwd 607" height="727" width="1211" msid="79361569" hostid="261"></div><p><strong>I forgot that [this episode], 607, was going to be the mid-season finale because we're so used to having eight. Are you guys a bit bummed that this is where we ended the half? Or are you guys happy with the end point? I'm not sure if 608 would have felt more like a true mid-season finale, but I think that this works. </strong></p><p><strong>Chambliss: </strong>The plan had been for 608 to be the mid-season finale and then, of course, the world decided that wasn't going to happen. We were a couple of days shy of finishing production on 608 when the pandemic shut us down. I think in looking at the storytelling, it is a very good place to leave on a cliffhanger because we have some open questions about what these characters are going to do.</p><p>It really seems like we're at the precipice of Virginia backed into a corner where she's got to act. And then the next couple of episodes when we return are going to answer a lot of those questions and those episodes kind of stand as their own little kind of anthology story within the greater whole. </p><h2><strong>The pandemic changed the next nine episodes of 'Fear TWD,' but not too much. Expect to see less extras, though.</strong></h2><div type="image" title="fear twd 607 walkers" height="759" width="1341" msid="79361571" hostid="261"></div><p><strong>You guys have been killing it in terms of quality. My fear was that filming during COVID-19 may impact the storytelling. Did you have to rethink how you're filming these upcoming nine episodes? Do they feel a little bit different? Did you rewrite things at all? </strong></p><p><strong>Goldberg:</strong> What's interesting is that because we had been writing them in the anthology model before COVID hit, the scripts did not need to be retooled as much as they would have been if they were all big ensemble episodes. So, in a strange way, we were writing COVID-friendly episodes before COVID.</p><p>That's not to say we haven't had to make some adjustments here and there for safety. There's still issues of how many extras we can use in a scene or how many walkers, things like that. But the stories really remained pretty much unchanged, which has been a blessing. </p><h2><strong>We'll see more of Sherry's personal trauma play out.</strong></h2><p><strong><div type="image" title="feartwd sherry dwight 603" height="1333" width="2000" msid="79361573" hostid="261"></div></strong></p><p><strong>Something that was unexpected that I loved, and that a lot of fans were receptive to this half season, was <a href="https://www.insider.com/fear-twd-christine-evanglista-talks-sherry-ptsd-negan">diving into Sherry's PTSD from her time with Negan</a>. I was shocked, but happy that you guys broached this. It's such a timely story. How did you guys decide to tackle this and how much deeper can we expect you guys to explore Sherry's PTSD?</strong></p><p><strong>Chambliss:</strong> It just seemed like the story that needed to be told for her. We got to see Dwight deal with so much of that on screen, both on "The Walking Dead" and his journey to "Fear," that it seemed like we would really be leaving out a big part of her story if we found Sherry in a much better place — if we saw her already past all that trauma. It's definitely something that we're going to continue as the season goes on.</p><h2><strong>Goldberg admits the reason why Strand didn't go with Morgan and Alicia is because he's walking a 'constant tightrope.'</strong></h2><div type="image" title="strand fear twd 607" height="772" width="1363" msid="79361574" hostid="261"></div><p><strong>On Sunday's episode, is Strand making the wrong call by not going with Morgan and Alicia? Why doesn't he go? I have two theories because Strand is a complicated man: He's being selfish and he believes Ginny is his best chance of survival or maybe Strand wants to be the man on the inside and is playing the long game.</strong></p><p><strong>Goldberg:</strong> I think both those theories are valid and to speak to the second one, Strand has been talking about doing damage from the inside since the end of season five. That's what the title of this episode is all about. It's why he separated himself from Alicia at the end of episode 602. It's ultimately also why he killed Sanjay in that episode because he needed to curry favor with Virginia.</p><p>I think the constant tightrope that Strand is walking is while he's doing this damage from the inside, is he destroying his relationships with the people he cares about the most and is he going down a path he can't walk back from? So that's the really fascinating thing about Strand this season.</p><h2>We will learn who saved Morgan by the end of season six.</h2><div type="image" title="feartwd 601 morgan jones letter" height="814" width="1447" msid="79361575" hostid="261"></div><p><strong>In the back half of the season, will we learn who saved Morgan? Yes or no answer here is fine.</strong><strong> And the person who saved Morgan — Is there a chance it may be someone who has an agenda against Ginny, as in, someone who maybe had a reason to keep Morgan alive?</strong></p><p><strong>Chambliss:</strong> I think the answer to both those questions is yes.</p><p><strong>Insider: Very succinct, Andrew.</strong></p><h2><strong>Are we heading towards a merger between 'TWD' and 'Fear TWD?' Well, maybe.</strong></h2><div type="image" title="twd 1016 maggie" height="2000" width="3000" msid="79361578" hostid="261"></div><p><strong>With "The Walking Dead" ending in 2022, are we heading towards an inevitable merger between "Fear" and "TWD"? This key to the future stuff on "TWD" with Maggie's group is certainly starting to feel like it could be part of Ginny's group. Here's what I see: I see Ginny getting taken out, Morgan and Strand taking over, and then working with Georgie and Maggie. That's my dream right there.</strong></p><p><strong>Goldberg: </strong>You just gave us a great roadmap for the rest of it [<em>Laughs</em>]. We should be writing this down.</p><p><strong>It's recorded. [<em>Laughs</em>] I'll send it to you.</strong></p><h2><strong>What's next for 'Fear TWD?' A Ginny and Morgan confrontation and more of the 'end is the beginning' folks.</strong></h2><p><strong><div type="image" title="morgan ginny feartwd 601" height="600" width="1200" msid="79361579" hostid="261"></div></strong></p><p><strong>What can you tease for the nine episodes ahead? The gang's almost all back together. Are we gearing up for — excuse my "Walking Dead" pun — but "All Out War" on "Fear of the Walking Dead?" I'm getting some season eight "TWD" vibes.</strong></p><p><strong>Goldberg:</strong> Well, we're certainly gearing up for a confrontation between Morgan and Virginia. They haven't spoken since 601. Morgan told Ginny over the walkie that she was dealing with somebody else now and we are going to get the bookend to that moment coming up in the next few episodes.</p><p><strong>Chambliss:</strong> The other element that we've hinted at, and Virginia's been worried about, is this group who remains mysterious now, but has been leaving these messages — "The end is the beginning" — all around the apocalyptic landscape. They will definitely be rearing their heads. </p><p><em>"Fear TWD" will return to <keyword id="6358378" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="amc">AMC</keyword> next year.
