<keyword id="541988" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="SnapDeal">Snapdeal</keyword>, the Indian <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Snapdeal-doubles-the-number-of-sellers-in-one-year/articleshow/51629270.cms">e-commerce giant</a>, has appointed former <keyword id="6368965" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="ZoomCar">Zoomcar</keyword> senior VP <keyword id="298418" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mayank-Jain">Mayank Jain</keyword> as the Head of Growth. 
 
Jain, who has over a decade of experience, has also worked at Mu Sigma Business solutions, Advanta Corp and Capital One before his stint with Zoomcar, where he led the products and analytics, and digital marketing functions.

"At Snapdeal, Mayank will be leading user growth strategy and focus on harnessing the value of analytics to build a high-performing growth strategy," said a release from <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/snapdeal-ties-up-with-Uber/articleshow/51454572.cms">Snapdeal</a>. 
 
It added that Jain will be don an important part in building a road map for their vision to achieve 20 million daily transacting users in coming five years. 
 
 
"Mayank brings on board a rich understanding of using analytics for growth. As we are working towards our vision of 20 million daily transacting users, I am sure he will add tremendous value and further fuel our growth," <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Buy-anything-on-Snapdeal-and-you-may-get-it-within-four-hours/articleshow/51775022.cms">Snapdeal</a> co-founder Rohit Bansal said. 
 
"Analytics will play a key role in shaping this ecosystem and I look forward to making a significant contribution towards this goal," Jain was quoted saying. 
 
Earlier this week, Snapdeal had appointed former Hindustan Unilever Brand Director <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Snapdeal-gets-former-HUL-senior-executive-Kanika-Kalra-on-board/articleshow/52000299.cms">Kanika Kalra</a> as VP marketing, another addition to its ever-growing upper management.

She power: The top 10 youngest women entrepreneurs in India

<ul><li>Over 27 startups have been valued over a billion dollars this year, however, only one of them was led by women.</li><li>Out of the 136 unicorn startup founders in India, five of them are female.</li><li>Mamaearth, Mobikwik and Acko General Insurance are expected to be valued at over $1 billion in the next four years.</li></ul>It has been raising unicorns since the start of this year. So far 27 startups — ranging from diverse segments such as online pharmacy, social commerce, infrastructure-led marketplace, and more — have been valued over a billion dollars this year and entered the unicorn club. However, only one of them is actually led by women. OfBusiness, which offers raw material procurement service and credit to small and medium businesses (SMBs), was founded by Ruchi Kalra, Vasant Sridhar, Bhuvan Gupta and Nitin Jain over six years ago. More female-led companies to enter unicorn club in next four years The year 2021 has been a record breaking year for Indian startups so far — with the new age companies hitting the public market, cracking the biggest funding deals and more companies being valued at over a billion dollars. According to a business intelligence firm Tracxn, Indian startups have raised $23 billion in 2021 till September 1. This is significantly higher than $13 billion raised by the ecosystem in 2020. The massive interest of the investors has increased India’s unicorn tally to 56. The new estimates show that 150 startups will be valued at over a billion dollars in the next four years, by 2025. <keyword id="541988" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="SnapDeal">Snapdeal</keyword>, the country's largest online marketplace, has appointed Kanika Kalra, former senior executive at FMCG giant Hindustan Unilever, as its vice president for Marketing. 
 Kalra is an IIM Lucknow alumni and has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Delhi University. She served as the global brand director for <keyword id="44863" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="HUL">HUL</keyword> and has been responsible for spearheading key innovations in the skincare category for the brand. 
 
She has also formerly worked with other major MNCs such as Pepsico and GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, as part of their brand marketing teams. 
 "We are thrilled to welcome Kanika. She comes with a vast and distinguished experience in brand marketing. As we look at defining more innovative solutions for our customers, I am sure she will add tremendous value and further fuel our growth," said <keyword id="396598" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Rohit-Bansal">Rohit Bansal</keyword>, co-founder and chief operating officer, Snapdeal as per the ET report.
