New Delhi, Jan 23 () Engineering, procurement and construction major KEC International Ltd on Thursday said it has bagged new orders worth Rs 1,255 crore across various businesses.
 In a statement, the RPG Group company said it has bagged orders worth Rs 510 crore for "transmission and distribution (T&amp;D) projects in Africa, Middle East and the Americas."
 In the railway business, the company has secured orders of Rs 449 crore for overhead electrification (OHE) and associated civil works in the country.
 The civil business, it said, has secured orders of Rs 161 crore for residential and industrial projects in India.
 The company secured orders of Rs 135 crore for various types of cables/cabling projects.
 "We are pleased with the new order wins in the face of challenging global headwinds. Our geographical and business portfolio diversification is paying off well in the current environment. The orders in T&amp;D, especially in the Middle East region, enable us to strengthen our presence in the international markets," KEC International Ltd MD and CEO Vimal Kejriwal said.
 "The OHE orders in railways, further consolidate our leadership in the conventional railway segment," Kejriwal added. SID RVK

KEC International bags new orders worth Rs 1,255 cr

Shares of <keyword id="393618" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="KEC-International-Ltd-">KEC International Ltd.</keyword>, an <keyword id="129822" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="EPC">EPC</keyword> services provider, surged to a new high on Tuesday after the company's earnings beat street expectations on a rising order book. KEC International, a part of the RPG group, said its first quarter <keyword id="6431508" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Net-profit">Net Profit</keyword> rose 168 percent to 30.4 crore rupees compared with 11.4 crore rupees in the same quarter a year ago. Sales during April-June gained 9.1 percent to 1,877 crore rupees from 1,720 crore rupees in the year ago period. The company said its order book surged to 10,537 crore rupees at the end of the first quarter. KEC's EBIDTA margins rose by 158 bps vs street's view of a 62 bps rise. KEC rose 4.1 percent, or 6 rupees, to 156.20 rupees on the <keyword id="53581" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="NATIONAL-STOCK-EXCHANGE">National Stock Exchange</keyword>, where 11 lakh shares were traded in the first hour of trade compared with the 5-day average of 11.8 lakhs.

KEC International beats street expectations: Two fold jump in Q1 net

New Delhi, Mar 18 () Infrastructure firm KEC International on Wednesday said it has secured new orders worth Rs 1,047 crore across various business verticals. The company has secured orders worth Rs 669 crore for transmission and distribution projects in India, South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries, Middle East and the Americas, KEC International said in a regulatory filing. Its civil business has secured orders of Rs 153 crore for defence and residential projects in India. "The solar business has secured orders worth Rs 104 crore for solar projects in India and Middle East," it said. The cables business, has secured orders of Rs 121 crore for various types of cables/cabling projects, it added. "We are delighted with the new order wins secured across our business verticals amidst the current market scenario. "The orders in transmission and distribution (T&amp;D) will enable us to further strengthen our portfolio in the international markets. We are particularly encouraged by the second order in the defence segment secured by our civil business," KEC International Ltd MD and CEO Vimal Kejriwal said. The deal size was not disclosed by the company. The <keyword id="10862" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="wipro" source="Orion">Wipro</keyword> group arm has signed a definitive agreement with Nirapara, a company statement said. With this acquisition, Wipro Consumer Care joins FMCG firms such as Dabur, Emami, Tata Consumer Products Ltd and ITC, which are already present in the spices market. Launched in 1976, Nirapara is known for its blended spices. Wipro acquires packaged food and spices brand Nirapara

New Delhi, Dec 24 () Leading stock exchange BSE on Tuesday said six companies, including Aditya Birla Housing Finance and Axis Finance, have filed application to list their commercial papers (CPs).
 The other companies that made applications with the exchange are Standard Chartered Investments and Loans (India) Ltd, KEC International Ltd, Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd and Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd.
 Post process, the effective date of listing for CPs at the exchange will be December 26, BSE said in a statement.
 Till date, 22 issuers have done 58 issuances of CPs and have successfully listed CPs of Rs 23,330 crore on BSE. The weighted average yield of these issuances is 5.44 per cent with an average tenor of 111 days, the exchange said.
 Standard Chartered Investments and Loans, Aditya Birla Housing Finance, Balrampur Chini Mills, Axis Finance, KEC International and Siyaram Silk Mills made an application to list CPs at BSE for an issue size of Rs 390 crore, Rs 250 crore, Rs 200 crore, Rs 175 crore, Rs 100 crore and Rs 45 crore respectively, BSE said.
 Commercial paper is an unsecured money market instrument issued in the form of promissory notes that enables highly rated corporate borrowers to diversify their sources of short-term borrowings and provides an additional instrument to investors.
 Such instruments can be issued for maturities between a minimum of 7 days and a maximum of one year from the date of issue. 
 CPs are usually issued at a discount from face value and reflect prevailing market interest rates. AST SP

New Delhi, Jan 15 () Leading stock exchange BSE on Wednesday said seven companies, including Grasim Industries Ltd, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd and HDFC Securities Ltd, have filed applications to list their commercial papers (CPs) with the bourse for a total issue size of Rs 8,812 crore.
 Indian Railway Finance Corporation, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, Julius Baer Capital (India) Pvt Ltd, Grasim Industries Ltd made applications to list their CPs at BSE for issue size of Rs 4,000 crore, Rs 1,750 crore, Rs 1,075 crore and Rs 1,000 crore, respectively, BSE said in a release.
 Besides, HDFC Securities Ltd, Shriram City Union Finance Ltd and KEC International Ltd made applications to list their CPs at BSE for issue size of Rs 490 crore, Rs 477 crore and Rs 20 crore, respectively, it said.
 After the process, the effective date of listing CPs with the exchange will be January 16, it added.
 "Till date 84 issuers have done 677 issuances of commercial papers and have successfully listed CPs of Rs 1,97,882 crore on BSE. The weighted average yield of these issuances is 6.06 per cent with an average tenor of 148 days", BSE noted.
