Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 2.78% lower. The Nasdaq Composite Index sank 4.96%. Here’s a list of stocks to watch for in trade on September 4: Vodafone-Idea After news reports surfaced suggesting that Verizon and Amazon may invest over $4 billion in the company, Vodafone Idea clarified to its investors, while it constantly evaluates various opportunities as part of corporate strategy, there is no such proposal currently before its board. The VIL filling came after BSE sought clarification from the company on Thursday over a <a href="https://www.livemint.com/companies/news/amazon-verizon-may-give-voda-idea-lifeline-11599102122521.html">media report </a>suggesting that Verizon and Amazon could invest over $4 billion in Vodafone Idea. The board will also meet today to consider a fundraising proposal. The shares of Vodafone-Idea ended 29.80% higher yesterday. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited State-owned HAL has proposed to offer 5.02 lakh shares to the eligible employees of the company at ₹950.95 per share. The sale of shares will remain open from September 4 to 9. The shares of HAL ended 4% higher on September 3. Infosys IT services major Infosys is all set to acquire US-based product design and development firm Kaleidoscope Innovation for up to $42 million. Kaleidoscope Innovation designs microsurgical instruments, devices used in minimally invasive surgery, drug delivery devices for ophthalmic therapies and user-centric wearables. The shares of Infosys ended 1.21% higher on September 3. ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, SBI and other banking stocks The shares ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, SBI and other Banking stocks might react to the apex court decision today. The Supreme Court of India has adjourned hearing in the loan moratorium case till September 10. The court directed that accounts, which were not declared as non-performing assets till August 31 this year, shall not be declared NPA till further orders. The shares of ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, SBI ended nearly 2% lower on September 3. Future Retail The stock-exchanges revised Future Retail price band from 10% to 5%. The shares of Future Retail closed after hitting a 10% lower circuit in the past two days. The company is also slated to report its first quarterly earnings today. Tata Motors Government-owned Energy Efficiency Services has placed an order to procure 250 electric vehicles from Tata Motors and Hyundai Motor India. Tata Motors will supply 150 Nexon XZ+ electric compact SUVs for the government use. EESL will procure Tata Nexon at ₹14.86 lakh each, ₹13,000 cheaper than its ex-showroom price. The shares of Tata Motors ended nearly 1% higher yesterday. Jubilant Industries Jubilant Industries reported a net loss of ₹3.1 crore in the first quarter ended June 30 as against a profit of ₹9.6 crore in the same quarter last year. The revenue declined to ₹94.3 crore as compared to ₹151.8 crore in the same period last year. The shares of Jubilant Industries ended nearly 3% higher on September 3. Top stocks to watch— Future Retail, IndusInd Bank, SBI, Vodafone-Idea, Infosys, HAL, Tata Motors, Jubilant Industries and more

<ul><li>Goldman Sachs maintained ‘Sell’ rating on <keyword id="95677" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jubilant-FoodWorks">Jubilant Foodworks</keyword>, which sells Domino’s pizza in India. </li><li>Aggressive growth plan of food delivery aggregators like <keyword id="6358977" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="swiggy">Swiggy</keyword> and <keyword id="830092" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Zomato">Zomato</keyword> as a risk for Domino’s sales, according to analysts.</li><li>Swiggy is now delivering in over 200 Indian cities, while Zomato is in more than 300 cities. </li></ul>Indian foodtech giants Swiggy and Zomato both house Domino’s in their list of restaurants to order from, but it seems the aggressive growth plans of the two delivery firms will leave Domino’s hungry for revenue. The share price of Jubilant Foodworks, which sells Domino’s and Dunkin Donuts in India, has plunged over 12% in the last three months. Goldman Sachs maintained ‘Sell’ with a price of ₹1,129 for shares of Domino’s parent company Jubilant FoodWorks. It said, “Dominos will find it challenging to deliver double digit same-store sales growth in FY20/21,” citing risk from aggressive expansion of Swiggy and Zomato in smaller Indian cities. Domino’s has over 1,227 restaurants in over 270 cities. Jubilant Foodworks had reported an operational revenue of ₹35.3 billion in FY19 as compared to ₹29.8 billion in FY18. Meanwhile, ICICI Securities in its report has pointed out that the “aggressive discounting by food aggregators over the past few months continues to impact the dine-in industry and Jubilant Foodworks’ dine-ingrowth in the top-10 cities”. Swiggy is present in over 200 cities while Zomato has gone beyond 300 cities in India. Their deep dive approach into tier-2 and tier-3 cities could result in Indians preferring to order in instead of going to restaurants to eat, something that has helped Domino’s same store sales so far. In the US too, Domino’s saw a similar turn of events, with food delivery aggregators like DoorDash, UberEats, GrubHub with their deep discounts and variety of options, impacted the sales of Domino’s. Swiggy and Zomato are eating into Domino's slice of profit

<ul><li>The company has reported a profit of ₹7,592 lakhs which is a 2.2% fall from the same quarter in the previous year.</li><li>Meanwhile, its total revenue from operations stood at ₹98,823 lakhs. </li><li>In Q1 FY20, the company had seen a profit after tax of ₹7,478 lakhs. </li></ul><keyword id="95677" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jubilant-FoodWorks">Jubilant Foodworks</keyword>, which runs Domino’s and Dunkin Donuts in India reported a 2.2% fall in profits for the second quarter to ₹75.92 crores. In the same quarter last year, its profits were at ₹77.67 crore. Its total revenues went up by 12% to ₹988 crore from ₹881 crores in the same quarter last year. The stock of Jubilant Foodworks was trading 5.10% higher at ₹1,429 at 2.30 pm. The marginal fall in profits seems to have been affected by multiple factors – the slowdown in the country as well as the growing dominance of Zomato and Swiggy. The stock was downgraded to underperform by the brokerage firm <a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/markets/stocks/news/credit-suisse-downgrades-jubilant-foodworks-to-underperform/articleshow/71310191.cms">Credit Suisse</a> in late September due to “a weak demand environment and aggressiveness of online aggregators”. Analysts pointed out that the “aggressive discounting by food aggregators over the past few months continues to impact the dine-in industry and Jubilant Foodworks’ dine-ingrowth in the top-10 cities”. In the US too, Domino’s saw a similar turn of events, with food delivery aggregators like DoorDash, UberEats, GrubHub literally eating into its sales.

Mumbai, <keyword id="9292761" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="equity-benchmark-sensex">Equity benchmark Sensex</keyword> jumped over 350 points in opening trade on Thursday, tracking gains in index majors <keyword id="6355199" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="reliance-industries">Reliance Industries</keyword>, <keyword id="6652791" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="HDFC-Twins">HDFC twins</keyword> and ICICI Bank amid positive cues from global markets. The 30-share BSE index was trading 355.23 points or 0.76% higher at 46,799.41, and the broader NSE Nifty surged 109.25 points or 0.80% to 13,710.35. ONGC was the top gainer in the Sensex pack, rising around 5%, followed by Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Auto, Axis Bank, <keyword id="45179" type="DOMAIN" weightage="20" keywordseo="NTPC">NTPC</keyword>, Bajaj Finance, Titan, IndusInd Bank, HDFC duo and Reliance Industries. On the other hand, Asian Paints, Infosys, Dr Reddy's Lab, TCS and Nestle India were among the laggards. In the previous session, Sensex rallied 437.49 points or 0.95% to close at 46,444.18, and Nifty surged 134.80 points or 1% to 13,601.10. Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) were net buyers in the capital market as they purchased shares worth ₹536.13 crore on a net basis on Wednesday, according to provisional exchange data. Domestic equities look to be good at the moment, said Binod Modi Head-Strategy at Reliance Securities, adding that Asian markets are trading positive as the outline of Brexit trade deal was reached. "Further, fear of a new coronavirus strain seems to be easing out now with select European countries opening borders for Britain. FPIs flow continues to remain a key driving force for domestic equities, which is expected to sustain in the near term in the backdrop of weak dollar, soft monetary policies of global central bankers and fiscal stimulus in the USA. "Sustainability of recovery in key economic data and 3QFY21 earnings are likely to play important roles for domestic markets for the sustainability of premium valuations in the near term," he said. US equities finished mostly higher as investors monitored the progress of the coronavirus vaccine and chances of a revived economy in 2021. However, President Donald Trump's opposition to recent bills passed by the Congress offered some discomfort towards the last session of trade. Elsewhere in Asia, bourses in Seoul, Hong Kong and Tokyo were trading on a positive note in mid-session deals, while Shanghai was in the red. Meanwhile, the global oil benchmark Brent crude futures were trading 0.41% higher at USD 51.45 per barrel.
