"The group had examined EV manufacturing plans earlier also but now it is becoming attractive," JSW Group Chief Financing Officer Seshagiri Rao told PTI. The manufacturing of EVs is being discussed actively at the group level, he said while divulging JSW Group's plan to expand its presence into more sectors. The group is looking to manufacture four-wheelers, Rao said. When asked about details of the manufacturing location, he said it is yet to be decided. On the timeline for the launch of an EV manufacturing facility, he said, "it (plan) is at advanced stages." JSW Group company JSW Steel owns and operates a one million tonne per annum (MTPA) steel plant at Salem in Tamil Nadu. The company manufactures auto-grade steel at Salem plant and supplies the high-value steel to automobile companies including the EVs makers. JSW Group mulls foray into EVs, to manufacture 4-wheelers

The Indian <keyword id="6355302" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="rupee" source="Orion">rupee</keyword> is expected to trade in the 79.25-79.75 per US dollar range in the coming days due to easing <keyword id="45185" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="crude-oil" source="Orion">crude oil</keyword> prices and continued inflows by foreign investors, the <keyword id="6358007" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="bank-of-baroda" source="Orion">Bank of Baroda</keyword> said in a research report. "The global oil price has come down to less than the $100-mark which is good news, as it will automatically lower the trade deficit, besides potential inflationary pressures. Going forward, we may expect the rupee to trade in the Rs 79.25-79.75/$ range," the report said. The report also said that the Ukraine war, though largely unresolved, has probably played out the darker side with the global economy adjusting to the supply dynamics. The shock has been absorbed in a period of six months, it said. "Taiwan did ring a scare, but seems to be behind us now. The focus will be on what global central banks do in the coming months and though the direction is clear and a slowdown imminent, the approach will provide further clues to the currency markets," the report said. The Indian rupee remained volatile for the last two months, touching record lows at times, but recovered from that since start of this month, thanks to the foreign investors who returned to the equity market after nearly nine months. "The Indian story was largely driven by <keyword id="725142" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="fpi" source="Orion">FPI</keyword> movements, which turned positive for equity on all days while aggregating positive for debt over this period. Hence the net inflows were positive which made up for the shortfall on trade which was impacted with imports rising faster than exports," the report said. Experts believe that foreign investors have returned to Indian markets because the country is a preferred destination as it has best growth prospects among the large economies of the world. The dollar had come close to the parity level and the question asked was whether this level would be broken. A depression in the economy is also a threat to this nation," he said in a statement. The virus will be a threat till its vaccine is found, Jindal said. These include a $2.5-billion financing for <a href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/bharti-airtel-ltd/stocks/companyid-2718.cms" target="_blank">Bharti Airtel</a> from Chinese lenders, a $3.5-billion venture by the <a href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/topic/Adani-Group" target="_blank">Adani Group</a> as well as big-ticket investments by <keyword id="45609" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="JSW-Steel">JSW Steel</keyword>, GMR and Welspun. With the exception of Bharti, the other companies are likely to sign joint venture agreements with Chinese partners. 
 
In a joint statement with China's Premier Li Keqiang, Modi said, "We are pleased with the progress on the commitments from the Summit last September. This includes cooperation in the Railways, where we have identified specific projects, and the two Chinese industrial parks in Gujarat and Maharashtra." 
 
According to a news report in The Economic Times, China's Premier Li Keqiang said that China and India need to strengthen mutual political trust so that together they can build a fairer and more reasonable international order. 
 
India and China have signed twenty-four key agreements in a wide range of sectors. PM Modi is on a three-day visit to China as the two world's two largest countries by population work to boost economic ties.

Adani Enterprises Billionaire Gautam Adani’s Adani Group is in talks to buy out GVK and some of its partners in the Mumbai Airport as it aims to become the country’s biggest private airport operator. Adani Group is in talks to acquire a 50.5% stake held by GVK Group in Mumbai International Airport (MIAL) and another 23.5% of minority partners, Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), and Bidvest Group, two sources with knowledge of the matter told PTI. Axis Bank Axis Bank on Monday said it would acquire 17% stake in Max Life Insurance instead of the 29% proposed earlier as per a revised deal. Axis Bank currently holds about 1 per cent stake in Max Life and is the biggest banking channel partner for the distribution of the insurer’s products. Products sold through the bank reportedly account for 54% of Max Life’s revenues. The shares of Axis Bank ended 2% higher on Monday. GMR Infra GMR Infra board to consider raising of funds of up to ₹5000 crore in one or more tranches, through the issue of securities as an enabling resolution as per the requirements of applicable laws which shall be subject to the approval of shareholders. The shares of GMR Infra ended 5% higher on Monday. Wipro Wipro announced a partnership with Standard Initial Margin Model (SIMM) vendor, Quaternion Risk Management. LIC Housing Finance Mortgage lender LIC Housing Finance reported a 34% jump in its net profit to ₹817.48 crore for the quarter ending June helped by lower provisioning. The total income of the company rose to ₹4,977.49 crore in April-June 2020 from ₹4,807.21 crore in the year-ago quarter, according to a regulatory filing. The shares of LIC Housing Finance ended nearly a percent lower on Monday. JSW Energy JSW Energy said that its Executive Director Jyoti Kumar Agarwal, who is also the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), has tendered his resignation and will step down with effect from September 15. In a regulatory filing, the company said that Agarwal has decided to pursue career opportunities outside the company. The shares of JSW Energy ended 2% lower on Monday. Indian Energy Exchange Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) on Monday said its board of directors had accepted the resignation of its Managing Director and CEO Rajiv Srivastava.
