Humphrey Yang, a personal finance guru with 1.4 million likes and 252 thousand followers on the video-sharing platform, created an illustration of Bezos wealth with the help of grains of rice. The video went viral and has already received almost 2.6 million views and nearly 88 thousand likes on <a href="https://twitter.com/Humphreytalks/status/1233184797507256320?s=20">Twitter</a>.

 At the beginning of the viral video, Yang pretended a single grain of rice represents $100,000, and then he later counts out 10 grains of rice to show $1 million. Yang moves on further and counts out the whooping amount of 10,000 grains to illustrate what $1 billion looked like in rice grains. He later adds a quick-cut to his car in the video and drives to a supermarket store, where he bought two large bags of rice. He brought it back home and emptied it on a blue mat, and then started counting it again. In the later part of the video, he shows a huge heap of rice, weighing 58 pounds (26.3 Kilograms) with a whiteboard representing Bezos fortune equal to $122 billion. The viral video largely gained user attention and received comments sparking debates over Bezos net worth. Tweeps were left ‘jaw-dropped’ after many commented on the video that they wished to have one grain of that rice heap.

As a TikTok creator with almost a decade of financial analysis experience, he said he wants to educate younger people on how to build long-term investing habits. "I get messages from kids all the time who are 16, 17 years old asking how do I set up a custodial account? They want to be able to buy stocks…They want to buy super speculative stuff, penny stocks, they want to day trade," Ross told Business Insider. "What I try to do is bring some experience to all that enthusiasm these kids have, and kind of teach them good habits at a young age...because I've had some horror stories of people losing tens of thousands of dollars that send me their screenshots," he added. For smart commentary on the Congressional hearing on tech antitrust, I'd recommend these opinion pieces:<ul><li>Linette Lopez wrote that unlike other tech hearings, the politicians came prepared. The tech titans did not seem ready for that at all, and <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/congress-made-amazon-apple-facebook-google-ceos-sweat-during-hearing-2020-7">they admitted to doing a lot of offensive things.</a></li><li>Big Tech's CEOs wrapped themselves in the flag and warned about China, Troy Wolverton noted. He argued that <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/policymakers-should-ignore-the-tech-ceos-patriotic-appeals-2020-7">their patriotic appeal was meaningless, misleading, and should be ignored.</a></li></ul>Personally, I often find some of the most illuminating takeaways to be buried in the documents that are released as part of the hearing. These can offer a window into how top executives think and communicate. The picture they paint is often less than flattering. The company denies the claims.</li><li>"Young Living disputes many of these claims as outdated, misleading, or exaggerated," the company told Business Insider. It was on his radar for a minute, and when he realized that talking about banning it would generate a lot of attention, he made more noises about banning it. But it's way easier to understand if you acknowledge that he maybe didn't care about the things he said and did four years ago.While we are here, let's be even-handed, and note that Trump is not the only politician who has inconsistent and contradictory approaches to TikTok.For instance, there's President Joe Biden, who says he supports legislation that would force ByteDance to sell its US TikTok operations or face a ban.That's the same Joe Biden who is using TikTok in his 2024 presidential campaign.Yes, Biden opened up his <a target="_blank" href="https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2024/feb/13/joe-biden-tiktok-campaign-national-security-social-media">own TikTok account this year</a>. But more crucial are his campaign's efforts to court creators on TikTok and other platforms, hoping they will amplify Biden's messaging for them. Which is why <a target="_blank" href="https://www.wired.com/story/biden-white-house-state-of-the-union-address-influencers/">Biden's White House was pre-briefing influencers about his State of the Union address this week</a>.Still here? Great. Because I also wanted to note that TikTok's most recent anti-ban campaign, which kicked off Thursday when the app told its users to call Congress and complain, is now being described, in some corners, as counterproductive.For instance: "TikTok Stunt Motivates Lawmakers to Take On the App," says <a target="_blank" href="https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/a-tiktok-stunt-motivates-lawmakers-to-take-on-the-app-ba989656?mod=hp_lead_pos1">The Wall Street Journal</a>, adding:"TikTok's campaign quickly overwhelmed the phone lines of some congressional offices, which were bombarded with hang-ups and questions. It also illustrated how TikTok could mobilize an army of people and <a target="_blank" href="https://www.wsj.com/tech/tiktok-pledged-to-protect-u-s-data-1-5-billion-later-its-still-struggling-cbccf203">gather data to push user behavior</a>, which some lawmakers say is the exact reason they don't want the company to have ties back to China."I wondered what TikTok thought about that argument, so I asked a PR rep, and got this statement in response: "If true, it is an interesting political calculation for a Member of Congress to hear from thousands of constituents imploring them to oppose a bill, get frustrated, and then vote yes to spite them." Good zing!So that's a lot of TikTok Ban news to consume over a short period. But I'm still sticking with the argument I made Thursday:It's easy to vote for a TikTok ban if you don't really think it's going to result in a TikTok ban. But it's a lot harder to actually ban TikTok for real — particularly during a very close presidential campaign, where the risk of blowback from angry users is a real thing. I don't think this is going to happen.

By age 11, Pelayo won first place in his school's <keyword id="1105" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="art">art</keyword> competition; his father hung the drawing on the wall. Together they would stroll through museums and galleries. Pelayo wanted to be Leonardo Da Vinci and he set off to study fine art at the University of Las Vegas. Two years in, Pelayo dropped out and moved back home to Los Angeles. He left the stencils behind and taught himself how to paint. A few months later, he began working alongside his father as an ink painter at Disney.It was good for a few years. Then, the pandemic struck, and Pelayo and his father were furloughed. His dad moved into Pelayo's one-bedroom apartment in North Hollywood, and they didn't know when - or if - Disney would ever call them again. "Not having a steady income from Disney - it was extremely rough at first," Pelayo told Insider. "We never thought we'd be out of work," he continued. "But we were."<div type="image" title="Issac Pelayo" height="3000" width="2400" msid="81138962" hostid="261"></div>Suddenly, Pelayo became the breadwinner. He got to the easel and painted every single day. He had no art dealer, no gallery representation, and no formal training, but found himself networking with rappers, basketball players, and other artists all through social media.Pelayo posts photos of his work on Instagram and receives most of his commissions through direct messages. Most of his art sells for between $3,000 and $10,000 and ranges from small paintings to large-scale portraits. He even does tattoos, for which he charges up to $1,000.He sold 50 paintings last year, telling Insider he made well over six-figures by the year's end - much more than he would be making if he was still working at Disney. Today, he said, he's making over five-figures a month, according to an accounting statement viewed by Insider. He was able to buy a house and move with his father to the Valley. They turned their garage into an art studio; their hallways into a miniature gallery. <h2>Focusing on Instagram to grow an audience</h2>At the start of 2020, Pelayo had about 20,000 followers and wasn't verified on the platform. By the year's end, he was verified with over 100,000 followers.He hasn't had any sponsorships or campaigns but has benefited from working with big names and engaging with followers. Pelayo also spends time curating his feed and studying how to get the Instagram algorithm on his side - when to post to see maximized engagement. He also sometimes uses paid Instagram promotions when he wants to reach as many people as possible. <h2>Rapper Westside Gunn is an avid collector of his work</h2>Pelayo defines his art style as a mixture of influence and innocence. He mixes Renaissance and Baroque inspirations with street art iconography. He says he draws on the parts of him that are good and poetic, anchored, and also careless.During the pandemic, Pelayo launched a "Street Baroque" series that caught the eye of collectors. "The work is fresh, modern, with a touch of the Old Masters," his father, Antonio, told Insider. One of Pelayo's most high-profile clients is <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/rapper-westside-gunn-contemporary-art-collection-toys-griselda-records-2020-11">rapper Westside Gunn</a>, who reached out to him via Instagram a few years ago after seeing his work on the platform.Now, the rapper owns about 20 paintings by Pelayo, many of which are within the $10,000 to $20,000 range. His working relationship with the rapper has garnered press attention, subsequently, helping Pelayo increase his following in art circles and online. During the pandemic, Gunn became one of Pelayo's top patrons, buying about ten pieces. Just as the Republican primary debates were heating up in 2016, the USA Freedom Kids were invited to perform in front of 15,000 Trump fans in Pensacola, Florida.They were delighted. The crowd adored them. Trump told them he was going to listen to their CD all night, Popick said. But then a promised opportunity to sell albums — which they had taken in lieu of payment — never materialized, Popick <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/07/26/the-creator-of-the-viral-pro-trump-act-usa-freedom-kids-now-plans-to-sue-the-campaign/">told The Washington Post a few months after the performance</a>.The Trump campaign then asked them to perform at an Iowa rally at the last minute. But after a rush to round up the gang and jump on planes, they were abruptly canceled, Popick told Insider. The campaign team didn't want them "upstaging Donald Trump," Popick said he was told. "I didn't know if I should laugh or cry," he said. "I mean, hearing Donald Trump, the media mogul, being intimidated by three little girls, it was really rather bizarre."He said he pursued a lawsuit for costs only, in order to "show the girls that things will be set right."The group settled the lawsuit for a lesser sum in December 2016, when Trump was president-elect. For Popick, it still closed a chapter. The tussle with Trump had more repercussions. According to Popick, an executive producer for Simon Cowell had shown an interest in the girls. "She said, 'you know, we see these girls on lunch boxes across America,'" he told Insider."And then after this firestorm with Trump, then they said, you know, we've got to step back. Not only do we have to step back, but we really recommend that you get off people's radar screens for a while."Insider approached Cowell for comment on this, but did not immediately receive a reply. "And so it really, it's kind of a shame that we became part of the division, when that was the exact opposite of what we were trying to do."Today, many of the girls are still performing. <a href="https://alexis.com/">Popick's daughter Alexis</a> — the eight-year-old at the center of the Trump performance — is now a 13-year-old homeschooler who hangs out on Tik Tok and worships Ariana Grande. She's keen to have a career as a performer, and is getting the practice. Last year, she co-hosted a 13-week show on the local TV station, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DN2ac8GsXNI">"The All-America Freedom Awards,"</a> with her father. "I began this, this endeavor with my daughter when she was five," Popick said. For him it was a way to showcase her talents while expressing his long-held patriotism. "So for years before the Trump thing, from the time I was a little boy, I always loved this country," he said. "I enjoy the patriotic thing, so [I said] let's do this little project." What happened with Trump was "very surreal," he said. "Maybe we were amongst the first to get caught up in the division. Which is really sad, because that's not what we intended."

The list includes new shows from Carlton Cuse ("Lost"), Ridley Scott, Frank Spotnitz ("The X-Files") and Shawn Ryan ("The Shield") along with a half-hour docu-series from "The New Yorker" magazine.
Amazon's roll-out strategy is to put its shows through a trial period.
The premiere episodes will debut on Amazon Instant Video for free where viewers will be able to vote on which shows they would like to see made into full series.
Amazon Studios, which launched in 2010, recently renewed new series "<a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-just-premiered-an-original-show-to-compete-with-netflix--and-its-good-2014-9">Transparent</a>" featuring Jeffrey Tambor for a second season.

1. "Point of Honor" (hour-long series) Pilot director: Randall Wallace ("Braveheart") Written by: Carlton Cuse ("Lost") Stars: At the start of the Civil War, a Virginia family, led by their West Point bred son, John Rhodes (played by <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1452155/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1" target="_blank">Nathan Parsons</a>, True Blood), makes the controversial decision to defend the South while freeing all of their slaves.
