When people googled "india first pm" on Wednesday, the key search box correctly showed the name <keyword id="6360386" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="jawaharlal-nehru">Jawaharlal Nehru</keyword>, but the photo adjacent to it was that of Prime Minister <keyword id="6354477" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Narendra-Modi">Narendra Modi</keyword>. And this was not the only faux pas, it seems Google picked pictures of current position holders for searches about ‘india first finance minister’ and ‘india first defence minister’ as well. Ironically, <keyword id="10387" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Microsoft">Microsoft</keyword>’s <keyword id="44127" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bing">Bing</keyword> search platform was doing exactly the opposite of this. On Bing, searching for "india first pm" would show an image of Nehru but ‘Narendra Modi’ as the name. As expected, <keyword id="6354616" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Twitter">Twitter</keyword> users could not miss this opportunity to take screenshots and potshots at the company and also the government. Google Search mixes up Jawaharlal Nehru for Narendra Modi, Twitter explodes

New Delhi, Jan 28 () The customs department will begin on pilot basis automated clearance of imported goods at Chennai Customs House and Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House, a move aimed at promoting ease of doing business.
 The facility will be introduced from February 6, according to a circular of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).
 The customs automated system would electronically give clearance to Bills of Entry, on completion of customs compliance verification (CCV) and payment of duty by the importer.
 "The facility will be initially rolled out on a pilot basis at two customs locations -- Chennai Customs House and Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House from February 6, 2020," the CBIC said.
 Thereafter, the facility will be reviewed and further expanded nationwide at all customs electronic data interchange (EDI) locations where risk management system is enabled and functional.
 One of the salient features of the automated clearance is that all the CCV requirements under the Customs Act, rules and instructions will be done by the designated proper officer of customs.
 Also, the CCV would operate even while duty has not been paid or payment is under process.
 After completion of CCV, the proper officer of customs, on satisfaction that the goods are ready for clearance, will confirm the completion of the CCV for the particular Bill of Entry in the customs system.
 On confirmation of payment of applicable duty, the customs system will then electronically give clearance to the Bill of Entry, the circular said. NKD CS HRS

QS Rankings: IIT Bombay best in employability, IIT Delhi ranks second

 After that, a lot of social media users are pointing out to many issues around the key reasons for the protest — revision on hostel fees. The university revised the fee after 14 years. This is the longest gap in hostel fee revision among the top central universities in India. In spite of the increase, it is at least one-fifth of the charges across premier Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) in Delhi and Mumbai. “How are the protests against fee-hikes justified?” said a Twitter user.

 The revised hostel fee for JNU students, after the partial rollback is at ₹3,600 per year and ₹1,800 for students belonging to below-poverty line sections. On the other hand, the annual hostel charges across IIT Delhi and Mumbai campuses range between ₹15,000 and ₹20,000. While some people are supporting the outrage, others are agitated by the overhaul. “Students should give written undertakings that they will not participate in strikes/protests,” said another user.

In a recent move, a few agitating students of the varsity occupied the administration block, defaced almost every wall of the block with graffiti against the JNU administration and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
