<p>Jagr's most recent contribution to his cult hero status came during a recent interview with CBC Sports' Hockey Night in Canada. </p>

Bruins Star Jaromir Jagr Listed His Favorite Player Growing Up As 'Jaromir Jagr'

<p class="source"><span>Bruce Bennett/Getty Images</span></p><p>Jaromir Jagr will no doubt go down in the history books as one of the greatest hockey players to ever lace up his skates.</p><p>The active leader in career points and just second on that list all-time behind Wayne Gretzky, Jagr is already one of the most accomplished players in the history of the sport. But right now the 45-year-old, 26-year NHL veteran finds himself a free agent during the 2017 offseason.</p><p>In normal circumstances the fact that a man pushing 50 finds himself not getting calls from a professional American sports league would not be news, but Jagr played in all 82 games for the Florida Panthers last season and put up an impressive 16 goals and 30 assists during his time on the ice. Having <a href="http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/jaromir-jagr-ill-work-every-day-play-50-years-old/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">previously expressed his desire</a> to play until he's at least 50 (which, judging by last season at least appears very doable), Jagr decided to take his frustrations with free agency to social media, posting two tweets poking a bit of light-hearted fun at his long career and current player status.</p><p>During his 26 NHL seasons, Jagr has spent time with the Penguins, Capitals, Rangers, Flyers, Stars, Bruins, Devils, and Panthers, meaning that he has played for literally a quarter of the league. As of now, <a href="http://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/19770186/jaromir-jagr-says-no-teams-calling-signing-free-agency" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">ESPN reports</a> that the Panthers are still in "cordial" talks with Jagr's agent, and resigning the veteran is by no means off the table. NHL legend Jaromir Jagr is a free agent and is airing out his frustrations on Twitter over not getting calls

<p>The Dallas Stars played the Flames in Calgary last night. But the star of the show was a group of fans that showed up dressed as the evolution of Stars right winger <keyword id="114836" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Jaromir-Jagr">Jaromir Jagr</keyword>. Each member of the group wore a mullet, like the one Jagr was famous for earlier in his career, and a jersey for one of the teams Jagr has played for.</p>
<p>And the best moment came when the cameras zoomed in on the group and they delivered Jagr's signature salute while Jagr was watching from the ice. You can see the video below...</p>

But they got one goal from Alexis Sanchez. Five minutes later they got goal No. 2 from Perez on this nifty pass from Olivier Giroud and an even niftier volley from Perez. They would eventually even the match up and save a point in the 92nd minute.</p><p><strong>Justin Bailey with the hustle-D and stop-on-a-dime shot</strong>. The Columbus Blue Jackets won their 16th straight game and Alex Ovechkin's overtime winner for the Washington Capitals tied Jaromir Jagr for the most overtime goals in NHL history. But the goal of the night goes to Bailey of the Sabres who netted his first career goal in Buffalo's 4-1 win over the New York Rangers. The goal came when the Rangers got sloppy in their own end and Bailey seemingly put on the brakes and took a shot all in one motion.</p><p><strong>The Swaggy P Bonus.</strong> Maybe Swaggy P had a little too much swag on this shot. The Blazers recently <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/the-trail-blazers-had-a-hilarious-reaction-to-their-latest-trade-2017-6" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">announced a trade deal with the Rockets</a> in hilarious fashion through Twitter, and Jaromir Jagr has been having fun with his late-career free agency by <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/jaromir-jagr-nhl-free-agent-on-twitter-2017-6" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">posting his frustrations</a> for NHL fans to see.</p><p>On Friday, the Carolina Panthers revealed the payoff of a Twitter joke their social media team had spent three days setting up, and established themselves as the current clubhouse leaders in the NFL when it comes to memes.</p><p>Any followers of the Panthers might have noticed a few tweets from the team over the past few days that seemed slightly off.</p><p>Jonathan Stewart has never really gone by the nickname "Air Stew" throughout his career. Unless this was a newly minted nickname that came up while watching game film in the locker room this offseason, this tweet appeared to be a somewhat forced, but content like that is not unheard of during these dog days of summer that lead into training camp. Anything to get the local fans excited, right?</p><p>But today, the Panthers' intention became clear, after posting a tweet that would reveal the plan that a small team of social media experts spent days bringing to fruition.</p><p>Oh? Sure Panthers, why not, let's play your game. Scrolling down the Panthers timeline, their recent tweets appear as such.</p><p>Have you caught it yet? Maybe a few more tweets will get you there.</p><p>Yes, you are correct. The Carolina Panthers spent three days setting up a Twitter joke that lead to the theme song of "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" to get stuck in your head. Chances are you'll be thinking of a young Will Smith for the next couple of hours.</p><p>The joke is a fine one from the Panthers, inspired by the recent virality of a tweet from Richard Cook (aka <a href="https://twitter.com/cookywook/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">@CookyWook</a>), who revealed a similarly devious plot Tuesday morning.
