The wedding box, like the traditional ones, does have a written invite but one thing that will surely blow your mind is the LCD Screen inside the box. 
 
Yes, at a time when people are cutting down unnecessary expenditure on weddings, he sent out a LCD invite for his daughter’s wedding, which has a minute-long video of Reddy, his wife, bride Brahmani and groom Rajeev Reddy. 
 
The song being played in the video was especially composed for the wedding invite. 
 
The wedding invite will put Bollywood movies to shame as it has all ingredients such as horses, lip-syncing, music, introduction of the couples, etc. 
 
Well, this won’t come as a surprise for those who have attended a wedding hosted by Reddy in which he spent Rs 20 crore and the guests were flown in via helicopter. 
 
As per various reports, Shah Rukh Khan, Prabhudeva, Tamannah and Katrina Kaif may perform at the wedding, which is scheduled for November 16. 
 
For those of you who can’t register who Reddy is, this former BJP member spent more than three years in jail in connection with the Ballary illegal mining case. He used to have a 15kg gold throne as well.

But, we all know normal marriages aren’t possible in Rs 2.5 lakh. 
 
But, this village in Kolhapur overcame this problem and crowdfunded a wedding. Villagers turned out to support Sayali’s wedding. Villagers, friends and relatives queued up at banks to withdraw small amounts that helped crowdfund Sayali's wedding, a BA, B.Ed student, who was jubilant that her trousseau and gifts were arranged in time. 
 
"This wedding has brought our family and friends closer. It is a blessing for all of us," she told TOI. 
 "We were stunned and the situation at home was almost chaotic when <keyword id="3315394" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="demonetisation">demonetisation</keyword> was announced...we did not want a grand occasion, just a simple and graceful wedding for our daughter. But we were afraid even that would not happen," Sayali's father Sambhaji, a farmer, told TOI, adding that her marriage to a shop owner in Karad was fixed around three months ago.

This village just crowdfunded a wedding for a family that faced after-effects of demonetisation

Recently, former <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=BJP+&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">BJP </a>minister and mining czar <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=G+Janardhan+Reddy+&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">G Janardhan Reddy </a>was in news for spending hundreds of crores on his daughter’s wedding at Bengaluru Palace. Now, <keyword id="6354751" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Income-Tax">income tax</keyword> officials are after his life and scanning his accounts. 
 
Along with Reddy, his daughter’s in-laws and event managers-who were signed up for various wedding-related services like priests, security guards and pandal suppliers-are also under the radar. 
 
The Income Tax (I-T) department, recently, issued a three-page notice to Reddy seeking details of all the expenses, including the source of income for his showy attire during the wedding. 
 
Reddy's daughter's five-day wedding grabbed headlines for its ostentatious display of wealth: LCD-screen invitation cards, recreation of the Vijayanagara empire by erecting massive sets on the 35-acre wedding venue, and a list of of 50,000 guests. 
 Other reason for the wedding to be in headline except for hundreds of crores being spent is that the wedding took place within days of PM <keyword id="6354477" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Narendra-Modi">Narendra Modi</keyword> declaring a war on black money by outlawing the use of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. 
 
Tax department sources said: "We've been gathering information for the past two months. We waited for the wedding to get over and have now issued a notice to him under Section 135 A (5) of the Income Tax Act, 1961. He has been directed to reply before November 25." 
 
The notice has been served on and it contains a list of items against which Reddy has to enter the amount spent. 
 
However, according to reports, Reddy has said that he has spent only 35 crores on his daughter’s wedding but other reports suggests that Reddy spent Rs 100 crore on his daughter Brahmini's bridal dress and jewellery , Rs 20 crore each on food and the palatial setting of the Vijayanagara empire. The mining baron is said to have spent about Rs 200 crore on the wedding. 
 
The I-T department has sought details of preand post-marriage functions, the number of guests, details of credit and debit card transactions, and the money spent on return gifts.

Leading the list of high-profile candidates is the Chief Minister and <keyword id="20270569" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ysr" source="keywords">YSR</keyword> <keyword id="19895371" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="congress" source="keywords">Congress</keyword> Party (YSRCP) President Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The son of the former Chief Minister of erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh late Y. S. Former Chief Minister Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy's son Kotla Jayasurya Prakash Reddy will be contesting for Assembly from Dhone constituency. He will take on Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy of YSRCP. Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy was elected from Dhone on Congress ticket in 1994. Jayasurya Prakash Reddy's wife K. Sujatha Reddy was also elected from the constituency on the Congress ticket in 2004. Former Chief Minister N. Janardhan Reddy's son N. Ramkumar Reddy will be testing his political fortunes from Venkatagiri Assembly constituency on YSRCP ticket. He is making his electoral debut. Janardhan Reddy contested on the Congress ticket from Venkatagiri in 1989. His wife N. Rajyalakshmi had also been elected twice from here in 1999 and 2004.

Hyderabad, In a new twist to the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) exam paper leak case, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has found that one of the accused allegedly used <keyword id="15681942" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="ChatGPT" source="Orion">ChatGPT</keyword> and <keyword id="175779" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="electronic-devices" source="Orion">electronic devices</keyword> to share answers with the candidates appearing in at least two exams conducted for recruitment in government departments. The investigation by SIT has revealed that Poola Ramesh, a Divisional Engineer with Telangana State Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSNPDCL) allegedly sold question papers related to the exam for the Assistant Engineer (Civil) and also used the latest AI tool and electronic devices to help some candidates writing Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) and Divisional Accounts Officer (DAO) exams. Ramesh allegedly shared the answers through electronic devices with at least seven candidates present in the exam hall. This is the first time in the sensational case that the use of ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-training Transformer) and electronic devices has come to light, sources said. The SIT on Monday arrested Prashanth, Naresh, Mahesh and Srinivas who allegedly wrote the exam with the help of electronic devices. The investigating officials are now trying to find out how the candidates managed to enter the exam hall with electronic devices without being detected at the entrance. They were looking for an examiner who helped them in entering the exam hall with the devices -- Bluetooth micro earpieces. The examiner is also suspected to have taken photos of question papers and sent them to Ramesh on WhatsApp 10 minutes after the exam started. With the arrests made on Monday, the total number of people arrested in the case has gone up to 49. Ramesh had received the leaked question paper of Assistant Engineer (Civil) exam from another accused Poola Ravi Kishore, a junior assistant in the electricity department. Ramesh further sold the leaked question paper to about 25 candidates for Rs 25 lakh to Rs 30 lakh each. The exam was held on March 5. For AEE and DAO exams held earlier on January 22 and February 26, Ramesh used the latest AI technology and microelectronic devices to help the aspirants. After receiving the question paper on his mobile from the exam centre through an examiner, he with the help of four others used ChatGPT to get correct answers and relayed the same to candidates present in the exam hall using Bluetooth earbuds. Ramesh allegedly had a deal with each candidate for Rs 20 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. The TSPSC exam paper leak case is turning out to be more intricate than initially thought as the SIT is making new findings. The TSPSC scam came to light on March 13 following a complaint by a youth. The police initially arrested nine accused including Praveen Kumar, who worked as an assistant section officer at TSPSC and Rajashekar Reddy, a network admin at TSPSC. They had allegedly stolen question papers of some exams from a computer in a confidential section of the Commission and sold it to other accused. Subsequently, the SIT arrested 15 accused from Mahabubnagar district alone. The investigators later found that the case has links with Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Nagarkurnool, Khammam and Nalgonda districts. The exam paper leak case created a sensation in Telangana as opposition parties Congress and BJP blamed the BRS government for the leak that affected lakhs of unemployed in the state. The opposition is also demanding a probe by a sitting judge of the High Court or by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The SIT has also examined TSPSC chairman Janardhan Reddy, secretary Anita Ramchandran and member B. Linga Reddy. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also probing money laundering charges in the case. It also recorded the statements of top TSPSC officials.

ChatGPT, electronic devices used to cheat in TSPSC exams

As per the list of candidates announced by the <keyword id="14666" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="BJP">BJP</keyword> to represent the party in the Lok Sabha Elections from Telangana constituencies, Bandaru Dattatreya, the sitting MP has been denied a ticket. When the country began its first phase of polling on April 11, 2019, Telangana voted from all its constituencies. Telangana gave a sweeping victory to the <keyword id="43749" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="TRS">TRS</keyword> during the assembly polls last year. The party is not facing the elections with the same enthusiasm given by the overwhelming victory. The state sees a triangular contest and the other parties in opposition namely the Congress and the BJP are now focusing on a select few seats hoping to win them for the parliament. The Nizamabad constituency has claimed the maximum amount of attention from the whole of the country as there are 185 candidates lined up to try their luck during 2019 Lok Sabha elections, all of them eagerly waiting for the results. More than 170 of these contesting candidates are farmers. The present ballot units of the EVMs can fit in only 16 candidates and hence the election commission had set up 12 ballot units in all the polling booths of the Nizamabad constituency to record the votes by the electors. Over the last few years, surfacing of a string of multi-billion scams has shaken the trust of global investors in the Indian economy. The first of the recent scams was the 2G telecommunication license sales in 2008 which allegedly cost the Indian state $39 billion in lost license fee due to under-selling. It also led to estrangement between Congress and <keyword id="6355364" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="UPA">UPA</keyword> ally <keyword id="6357766" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="DMK">DMK</keyword> which accused the former of not protecting party leader A Raja who was heading the telecom ministry when the scam broke. The second was the illegal sale of iron ore worth billions of dollars to China by firms related to G Janardhan Reddy, whose meteoric rise to economic and political prominence from being an anonymous employee of local chit fund near Bellary in Karnataka proved what one could achieve if he/she has the right political connections to supplement inherent shrewdness. The third was the alleged siphoning off of around $1 billion by Madhu Koda, former chief minister and mining minister of Jharkhand, reportedly amassed through corrupt mining deals during his ministerial tenure. 
 While <keyword id="46183" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Corruption">corruption</keyword> is nothing new in the Indian socio-political space, these recent high-profile scams have made global investors jittery about investing in the country as their long-prevailing skepticism in India’s ability to emerge a mature economy without traces of corruption ballooned. 
 
The move from ‘license Raj’—where businesses were governed by rules and quotas aided by bribes to bureaucrats—to liberalization opened fresh, widened opportunities for bribery and graft, as sectors like real estate, metals, mining, infrastructure, aerospace, defense, power and utilities became multi-billion juggernauts governed by poorly paid officials. Over the years, graft has become such an integral part of Indian reality that corruption is seen as a normal way of life and only a few people think the ‘powerful’ can be put behind bars for indulging in and enhancing an ever-growing system of bribery. Of late, of the 10 biggest family firms by sales, seven have faced controversies related to corruption and kickbacks. In a recent survey, 95 per cent of Indians said corruption became a larger menace over the last five years. According to Transparency International, an organization that tracks corruption, 54 per cent of Indians say they paid a bribe in the last year, compared with Nigeria with 44 per cent and Indonesia with 36 per cent. 
 
The huge amount of money siphoned off by industrialists and politicians to clandestine entities domiciled in countries with friendly tax regime and regulatory rules have further enhanced the nature and scope of corruption. Bribes are also transferred to entities outside India through what is called ‘mis-invoicing’. For instance, an outfit in India controlled by a politician buys gold jewelery worth millions of dollars from a firm domiciled in a free-trade zone such as Dubai at exaggerated prices and imports it. The excess tax-free earnings are pocketed outside India in a firm controlled by the same person with limited scope of scrutiny and investigation. According to research organization Global Financial Integrity, gross illicit outflows from India have averaged $52 billion a year since 2007. The unaccounted-for money held in global banks including those in Switzerland adds to the enormity of the problem. Offshore assets of Indian residents held in global banks are estimated to be close to $150 billion. 
 
The country cannot be imagined to be on the road to growth without the contribution of the private sector that plays a role in building factories, roads and larger infrastructure. However, for getting required permission for these infrastructural initiatives, companies in these sectors need to grease the palm of ministers, politicians and bureaucrats. They also need to pay ‘speed money’ to avoid red tape. 
 
Corruption leaves a dent on the country’s economy in various ways. First, graft means lost revenues from privatisation, taxation, excise and customs. It also impedes investment and in turn growth, besides hurting the poor who are left to bear the brunt of ‘cost overruns’ passed on by corporates through spiked prices of products and services. 
 
A core trigger for graft is the funding of political parties, especially to meet election expenses. As political parties assume power, they have a clear obligation to ‘pay back’ their spongers in the corporate world and other wealthy individuals who lavishly open their wallets for helping them win polls. 
 
The application filed in the Supreme Court by the Narendra Modi-led government recently saying it cannot disclose the details of foreign accounts held abroad by Indians, citing bilateral double taxation avoidance treaties, means that the new regime needs more concrete steps to fight such issues otherwise it may not be fundamentally different from the previous UPA government when it comes to uprooting corruption. Modi government needs to take drastic steps including measures to curb funding of political parties and elections by corporates and to dig out sources of billions of <keyword id="6356023" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Black-Money">black money</keyword> held outside the country, to win back trust of the global investment community and enhance the scope of overall economic growth.
