<keyword id="14666" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="BJP">BJP</keyword>’s landslide win in UP and <keyword id="44522" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Uttarakhand">Uttarakhand</keyword> has made corporates believe that major reforms will be adapted as the coordination between the centre and states would be sorted. 
 <keyword id="6355988" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Assocham">Assocham</keyword> President <keyword id="4036" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Sandeep-Jajodia">Sandeep Jajodia</keyword> said one of the important takeaways of the poll outcome is that a far better coordination is expected between the country's largest state (UP) and the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre, according to a <keyword id="6367495" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="PTI">PTI</keyword> news report. 
 "Mr <keyword id="6354642" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Modi">Modi</keyword>'s agenda on economic development and to take on the challenges upfront has gone down very well with the people of the key states who are looking with a new hope for an economic development of the states. Most of the states are now being ruled by the BJP and its allies and far better level of development coordination is expected," <keyword id="4048" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Jajodia">Jajodia</keyword> said. 
 "Investors value predictability &amp; stability. BJP's resounding victory in UP points to long term leadership. The BJP was also locked in a close contest in Goa and <keyword id="6359754" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Manipur">Manipur</keyword> with the <keyword id="1575" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Congress">Congress</keyword>, which won the consolation prize of <keyword id="6354953" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Punjab">Punjab</keyword> where it will form the government.

The <keyword id="6367820" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="adani-group">Adani Group</keyword> will acquire a prime residential property near <keyword id="150647" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mandi-House">Mandi House</keyword> in New Delhi after winning a bid to acquire <keyword id="8075721" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="aditya-estates">Aditya Estates</keyword>. Adani won the bid through an insolvency process for a total deal value of Rs 400 crore. Aditya Estates holds a 3.4 acre of prime residential property near Mandi House. By all accounts, it is a bargain deal as similar properties have fetched a much higher price. The principal bench of the National Company Law Tribunal has approved the resolution plan of Adani Properties to acquire Aditya Estates for Rs 265 crore. Another Rs 135 crore would go towards meeting the statutory charges, taking the total deal value to Rs 400 crore. Aditya Estates's committee of creditors, led by ICICI Bank UK Plc, had already approved by 93.01 percent vote share Adani's Rs 400 crore offer, including an upfront payment of Rs 265 crore. According to the list of applicants submitted in June last year, nine applicants had shown their interests for the property, including NR Narayana Murthy, Malvinder Singh, Anil Rai Gupta, Paras Pramod Agarwal, Dalmia Cement (Bharat), Veena Investments, Welspun Logistics, Adani Properties and Panch Tatva Promoters. However, only two of themï¿½Adani Properties and Veena Investmentsï¿½had submitted their resolution plans. The CoC rejected the Rs 225 crore offer from Veena Investments as it found it to be non-compliant and conditional. Besides, it did not take into account any liability that may arise from New Delhi Municipal Corporation for house tax, sales tax and income tax in the future. Aditya Kumar Jajodia, a shareholder of Aditya Estates, challenged the insolvency proceedings against the firm in NCLAT but his plea was rejected. Adani gets Mandi House prime property for ₹400 cr

New Delhi, Jan 10 () PayU on Friday said it will acquire a controlling stake in PaySense and all its assets at a valuation of USD 185 million (about Rs 1,300 crore).
 "PayU's consumer lending business LazyPay and PaySense will merge their business operations to build a full-stack digital lending platform in India. This planned merger is aligned with PayU's long term vision of orchestrating a fintech ecosystem in India by partnering with the right companies and offering multiple financial services," a statement said.
 PayU will also inject up to USD 200 million (about Rs 1,400 crore) in the new enterprise in the form of equity capital, it said.
 It added that USD 65 million of the total amount will be immediately invested, while the balance corpus will be infused in the next 24 months to grow the loan book. 
 Prashanth Ranganathan (currently PaySense CEO) will lead PayU's credit business in India as the CEO of the new enterprise. He will continue to retain a stake in the merged enterprise, while all the other investors and shareholders will exit.
 PaySense's management team will become part of PayU's credit team.
 PayU's understanding of consumer backgrounds and insights into purchase behaviour and affluence levels from its payment gateway business, coupled with LazyPay's experience in driving customer acquisition and engagement and PaySense's analytics, tech and risk management capabilities will enable the combined entity to serve more of the new-to-credit Indian population, the statement said.
 PayU's unified digital credit platform will enable third parties such as banks, NBFCs and alternate lenders to co-lend and grow assets.
 "This merger is the next step in our journey as we accelerate our vision for credit in India. We're delighted to welcome Prashanth and his experienced team as we integrate this fast-growing business and build a full-stack digital lending platform..." PayU Global Head of Credit Siddhartha Jajodia said.
 In a separate statement, Nexus Venture Partners said it was the sole initial institutional investor in Paysense.
 Nexus had first partnered Prashanth Ranganathan and Sayali Karanjkar at concept stage of the company in 2015, and further participated in all subsequent rounds of the company, it added. SR RVK
