 The revised hostel fee for JNU students, after the partial rollback is at ₹3,600 per year and ₹1,800 for students belonging to below-poverty line sections. On the other hand, the annual hostel charges across IIT Delhi and Mumbai campuses range between ₹15,000 and ₹20,000. While some people are supporting the outrage, others are agitated by the overhaul. “Students should give written undertakings that they will not participate in strikes/protests,” said another user.

In a recent move, a few agitating students of the varsity occupied the administration block, defaced almost every wall of the block with graffiti against the JNU administration and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Added to this, hostel curfews and a dress code also did not resonate well with the students. The protest coincides with the institute’s third convocation ceremony. They also intend to marching towards the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in Vasant Kunj, Delhi. Delhi police used water cannons to disperse the students as they tried to cross the barricades to meet the vice chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar. National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) entrance test schedule for the next session in 2020. According to the varsity’s official website, the online registration will begin from 2 March 2020. Interested applicants can visit the official website ntajnu.nic.in. The exam will be held from 11 May 2020 to 14 May 2020. And the admit cards for the same will be rolled out on 21 April 2020. The tentative date for the declaration of result is 31 May 2020. The test will include multiple choice questions (MCQs) of 100 marks. The duration of the online examination is 90 minutes. A hostel is a relatively inexpensive establishment that provides shelter for those who are studying, working, or traveling for fun. After having used hostels to travel across Europe as a teenager, I decided to explore one in my own backyard of New York City. I wanted to see how our hostels stacked up, if they're worth the money saved, and if they can bring in a new era of American travel.A quick search online pointed me toward <a href="http://www.hostelworld.com/">Hostelworld</a>. Not only this, the recommendations from IIT SCIC also include a National Aptitude Test in 2017 so that students can be screened before the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

However, it’s not like the fee hike would be the sole problem of students and their families, as a comprehensive student loan system is also proposed to come into effect. 
 
IIT SCIC has recommended this hike on the basis of a report of the Committee of IIT Directors that was set up in October 2015. This committee has suggested this hike so that the entire cost of salary and maintenance for promising projects, research infrastructure and space maximization on campus can be covered.
