IIT Roorkee will announce the JEE Advanced result today on 14 June 2019, according to media reports. The final answer key and the result is expected to be released at 10 am. The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee released the JEE Advanced (Joint Entrance Examination) admit card on 20 May 2019. Nearly 2,24,000 students qualified for the JEE Mains examination this year. The students can access the results on the university’s official website jeeadv.ac.in. The initiative is coordinated by a group of concerned academicians. "We the members of academic fraternity fully support the government decision to conduct <keyword id="6392660" type="DEFINITION" weightage="20" keywordseo="JEE">JEE</keyword> and <keyword id="6361994" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="NEET">NEET</keyword> exams," they wrote. Hitting out at the naysayers, they wrote: "The dreams and future of our youth and students cannot be compromised at any cost. However, some are trying to play with the future of our students simply to propel their own political agenda and oppose the government. "We hope and strongly believe that under your able leadership, the central government will successfully conduct the JEE and NEET exams taking full precautions to ensure that the future of students is taken care of and the academic calendar for 2020-21 is rolled out." They say that they "wholeheartedly welcome" the government's move, while citing the Supreme Court dismissing a petition for postponement of these exams saying that any further delay in conducting the tests would result in waste of precious year for students. They wrote that "Youth and students are the future of the nation but in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, clouds of uncertainty have gathered over their careers too". There are a lot of apprehensions about admissions and classes which, they say, need to be resolved at the earliest. Prof. C.B. Sharma of IGNOU, Prof. Prakash Singh of the Delhi University, Prof. Sanjeev Sharma, the VC of MGCUB in Bihar's Motihari, Prof. Jayaprasad, the Pro-VC of Central University of Kerala, Prof. Ainul Hasan of the JNU are among some of the academicians who wrote the letter to PM Modi. JEE-NEET exams: Over 100 academicians from DU, JNU, and Central University Kerala write to PM Modi in support

NEW DELHI: The <keyword id="581232" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="National-Testing-Agency">National Testing Agency</keyword> has released the <keyword id="178605" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Joint-Entrance-Examination">Joint Entrance Examination</keyword> (JEE) Main II (April 2019) results and NTA Score on Monday, i.e., April 29, 2019. The JEE (Main) April 2019 result has been declared at the JEE official website https://jeemain.nic.in around 09:00 pm. The candidates, who appeared for the JEE (Main) April 2019 examination, can check their results through candidate login by visiting the official website (link is given below). The TOI contacted the NTA officials and they confirmed the news that the JEE Main April 2019 results would be declared today. When asked about the result declaration time, the official said, "It will be declared toward late evening". Result can be checked via the official login. This time, the candidates can also get to see their All India Rank (AIR) in the result. The AIR has also been announced for all the candidates who appeared for the exam in January and April. Candidates who appeared for both the exam have been allocated on the basis of best of the two percentile score. How NTA Scores calculated NTA scores were calculated corresponding to the raw marks obtained by a candidate. The calculated NTA scores for all the shifts/sessions were merged and then results are declared. The four NTA scores for each of the candidates in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) – January 2019 as well as for the April 2019 will be merged for compilation of result and preparation of overall Merit List /Ranking. For the candidates who appeared in both the attempts, best of the two NTA scores (total) will be considered for further processing.

New Delhi, The JEE-Mains exam for admission to engineering colleges will be held four times a year starting 2021 to offer flexibility to students and a chance to improve their scores, <keyword id="5783061" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Union-Education">Union Education</keyword> Minister <keyword id="106655" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ramesh-Pokhriyal-Nishank">Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank</keyword> announced on Wednesday. The first edition of the exam will be held from February 23 to 26, followed by rounds in March, April and May. "We have examined the suggestions received from students and various quarters and it has been decided that JEE-Mains will be held in four sessions in February, March, April and May," Nishank said. "The first session will be held from February 23-26 and the results will be declared within five days from the last date of exams," he said. "The move will ensure that students don't miss out on opportunities due to clash of exams or due to the COVID-19 situation at present," he added. Nishank also said students will be given a choice to answer 75 questions (25 each in <keyword id="55984" type="LOCATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="physics">Physics</keyword>, Chemistry and Mathematics) out of 90 (30 each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). <ul><li>Results for school level state board exams in <keyword id="3658" type="COUNTRY" weightage="20" keywordseo="India">India</keyword> will be available directly through <keyword id="6355629" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="google">Google</keyword> search.</li><li>The <keyword id="69419" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Central-Board-of-Secondary-Education">Central Board of Secondary Education</keyword>, in India, is the largest examination conducting body in the world. </li><li>This year’s result will be available directly through Google.com.</li></ul> Google is trying to catalogue the results of one of the largest examinations in the world. The company is <a href="https://www.ndtv.com/education/cbse-results-2018-will-be-available-at-google-search-1851516">tying up</a> with India’s Central Board of Secondary Education (<keyword id="6356155" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="cbse">CBSE</keyword>) to display exam results through Google search. Under the initiative, students will be able to search for Board Examination results directly on Google. That means students won’t have to visit official websites, which often crash when exam results are declared, because of high traffic on the sites. This, in turn, leads to delays in students getting access to their results. The board examinations in India are state levels examinations, considered important for further admissions in colleges. The CBSE conducts these examinations for a huge part of the country. In fact, reports say over 2.8 million students appeared for these examinations in 2018. This is not the first time Google is making such an effort though. Earlier, the company had catalogued the Joint Entrance Examinations (<keyword id="6392660" type="DEFINITION" weightage="20" keywordseo="JEE">JEE</keyword>) Main results that came out on 30 April 2018. The JEE examinations are also conducted by the CBSE, for admissions to some of India’s most prestigious engineering colleges, including the various <keyword id="55119" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-Institute-of-Technology">Indian Institute of Technology</keyword> branches. How is this different? Before this, students or parents first had to use Google search to find the hosting portal and then log into that website to check exam results. The issue with this approach was that the time taken to access the results would completely depend on website’s server. Multiple login attempts and traffic congestion led to students having to wait hours until they could see their results. With Google involved, students will be able to type ‘CBSE 12 Results 2018’ into the Google search box and after <a href="https://www.thebetterindia.com/141280/cbse-result-2018-google/">selecting</a> the correct option from the recommended searches, a CBSE window will pop open. Students will have to follow the usual procedure of filling in their roll number, date of birth etc. for the results to show up. The results will also be <a href="https://www.news18.com/news/india/cbse-class-12-result-2018-on-cbse-nic-in-click-for-date-and-time-1745995.html">available</a> through the official CBSE website, an interactive voice response (IVR) service, SMS, DigiLocker and official school websites.

However, the new dates haven’t been informed yet. The main exam result was declared on January 14, following which the interview dates were announced. The interview stage, which comprises 275 marks, is the final selection stage of selecting civil servants. The development comes after the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) directed all the educational institutions and regulatory bodies — including the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board exams, university exams and entrances — to be rescheduled after March 31. “While maintenance of academic calendar and exam schedule is important, equally important is the safety and security of the candidates who are appearing in various examinations, as also that of their teachers and parents,” the official announcement <a href="https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1240312126998110208?s=20">said</a>. Recently, the Indian Army also deferred all the interviews and selection of officers in the armed forces, amid the Coronavirus pandemic. “These interviews can’t be conducted in the current circumstances. The candidates will be notified when the interviews will be held. Earlier, the exam was scheduled between April 5 and April 11, 2020. “Certain competitive examinations like JEE Mains require examinees to travel to other centers and in some cases even to other cities, to appear in the said examination. Therefore, JEE Mains should be rescheduled and a new date will be announced on March 31, after re-assessment of the situation,” the ministry added. However for corporates, soft skills like business communication are a non-negotiable requirement. According to Udemy report on ‘What the world is learning (From home)’ the online learning enrollments in India went up by a whopping 606% for courses teaching communication skills after people were confined to their homes due to <keyword id="1754604" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="coronavirus">Coronavirus</keyword> lockdown. “There is increased interest in online courses to feed personal interests and new hobbies, such as Ukulele and Technical Drawing. Demand for particular online learning topics also varies by country and geographic area, such as communication skills in India and Piano in Spain,” the report said. This is followed by the demand for courses in financial analysis and business fundamentals at 311% and 281%, respectively. The demand for soft skills like growth mindset, creativity, innovation and focus mastery witnessed the highest growth in enrollments on Udemy. “If I were to generalize a bit, then routine and mono-skilled roles will be replaced with specialists, insights-driven and multidisciplinary roles. Skills like creativity, empathy, collaboration will gain even more prominence,” Sanjiv Mehta, CEO, HUL <a href="https://youtu.be/RUKyUK50TPY">said</a> in a webinar. Overall, the online learning enrollments witnessed a 200% increase. This may be because the employees too are working in a remote setu and they are now keen on acquiring new skills. “As a result of this pandemic, we are all being forced to learn. Some of us are learning how to work from home and how to work from home along with kids. Others are learning out of necessity because of job loss or an uncertain professional future. Learning requires effort, but it can help us make progress from where we are today to where we want to be,” said Padraig Nash, Director of Learning Science and Instructional Design at Udemy.
