Xiaomi hints at the launch of its first Redmi branded laptop in India

The leaked screenshots, shared by known tipster Ishan Agarwal, suggest that the app will allow users to integrate all their medical records from different healthcare providers in the app. “See a unified view of your health, pulling together info from your doctor’s visit, labs, and more. Xiaomi to launch new Mi and Redmi brand laptops in India soon

A COVID-19 outbreak hit the Indian cricket team on Wednesday as three main players -- senior opener <keyword id="17805" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="shikhar-dhawan" source="Orion">Shikhar Dhawan</keyword>, reserve opener <keyword id="4238575" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ruturaj-gaikwad" source="Orion">Ruturaj Gaikwad</keyword> and middle-order batter <keyword id="982208" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="shreyas-iyer" source="Orion">Shreyas Iyer</keyword> -- tested positive for the virus during their mandatory isolation period before the start of West Indies series. Four other persons, including net bowler Navdeep Saini, have also tested positive for COVID-19. Saini is also on standby list. The remaining three who tested positive for the virus are non-playing members -- fielding coach T Dilip, security liaison officer B Lokesh and masseur Rajeev Kumar. "The All-India Senior Selection Committee has added Mayank Agarwal to India's ODI squad after seven members, including three players of Team India (Senior Men) tested positive for COVID-19 following three rounds of RT-PCR testing," BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in a statement. The Indian team assembled in Ahmedabad on January 31 for the upcoming white-ball series against the West Indies and were going through a three-day isolation period post their break from the South Africa series. The series starts in Ahmedabad on February 6 with India's 1000th ODI match but it is now a foregone conclusion that the trio will be missing the series as they will have to undergo a week-long isolation and then return with two negative RT-PCR tests. Shah gave a lowdown of the sequence of positive cases in the India camp. "Opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan and fast bowler Navdeep Saini's (standby player) RT-PCR tests conducted on Monday (January 31st) have returned positive results,' Shah stated in the release. "Fielding Coach T. Dilip and Security Liaison Officer B. Lokesh's RT-PCR tests conducted on Monday (January 31st) have returned positive results. Batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad's RT-PCR test conducted on Tuesday (February 1st) has returned a positive result. He had tested negative during the first round of testing on Monday," the release further stated. "Batsman Shreyas Iyer and Sports Massage Therapist Rajeev Kumar's RT-PCR tests conducted on Wednesday (February 2nd) have returned positive results. Both had tested negative in the first two rounds of testing." The BCCI medical team is handling the positive cases and the infected persons will remain in isolation till complete recovery is attained. "The players are largely asymptomatic and hopefully will be fine by the end of the isolation period. You feel bad for Shikhar as he might have to miss the series and he is not a part of T20 squad," an official said. Even more disappointing is young Ruturaj Gaikwad's case as this is the second time in one and a half years that he has tested positive for COVID-19. "If you remember, Ruturaj had tested positive in UAE during the 2020 IPL and went through hell. He had a 14-day quarantine back then and missed first part of the season in the Emirates. This is the second time he has tested positive," the official added. It is confirmed that captain Rohit Sharma, senior players like Virat Kohli and coach Rahul Dravid have all tested negative as of Wednesday. "They have returned negative as of today." All those who tested negative will complete their mandatory isolation on Thursday. They will enter the bubble, if they test negative again on Thursday. "The testing protocol set by BCCI medical team is for every day RT-PCR as RAT (Rapid Antigen Test) is often not conclusive. Although teams are supplied with RAT kits in case any player shows symptoms and wants to do a self test," the official said. It is expected that M Shahrukh Khan, R Sai Kishore, Rishi Dhawan, who are stand byes for the series, will now get a look-in to be in the squad. As far as Rohit Sharma's opening partner is concerned, Mayank's inclusion makes it clear that team management is not looking at Ishan Kishan or Venkatesh Iyer for the slot. It must be noted that all the players had tested negative in RT-PCR when they embarked on their journey to Ahmedabad from their respective cities. "The members were asked to report in Ahmedabad on 31st January 2022 for the upcoming three-match ODI and T20I series against West Indies. Every member was also asked to undergo an RT-PCR test at home before embarking on their journey to Ahmedabad and the travel was undertaken only after testing negative," the BCCI said. While there have been rumors about Xiaomi launching its laptops in the country for over a year now, the company probably wants to cash in on the work from home culture by launching affordable laptops. <div type="Article" hostid="261" msid="74931234" title="GST effect – Xiaomi, Samsung, Apple hike phone prices in India" mstype="2" mssubtype="0"></div> Xiaomi may enter the Indian market with the RedmiBook 14 As per an earlier <a href="https://www.gizbot.com/laptop/news/redmibook-14-bags-bis-certification-india-launch-likely-066259.html">report</a>, the RedmiBook 14 has reportedly received BIS certification, paving the way for its launch in India. Xiaomi had also <a href="https://gadgets.ndtv.com/laptops/news/xiaomi-redmibook-brand-trademark-spotted-hinting-india-launch-laptop-range-2159586">trademarked</a> the RedmiBook brand in India earlier this year. The RedmiBook 14 is available in India starting at CNY 2,999 which is around ₹32,100 in India. Xiaomi may launch the laptop at a more aggressive price in India to take on the existing laptop companies like Dell and HP. The base model comes with an 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. The company may also launch the high-end variant of the RedmiBook 14 that is powered with up to 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor. Xiaomi RedmiBook, Mi laptops expected to launch soon in India

Now, Google announced the expansion of the Nest Hub in May this year at the company’s annual developer event - Google I/O to 12 new countries. India was included in the list. And it now appears that the company is getting ready to launch the Nest Hub in India. Google Nest Hub price in India Known tipster <a href="https://twitter.com/ishanagarwal24/status/1160869175947960320">Ishan Agarwal</a> posits that the Google Nest Hub could be priced at Rs 8,999, which is approximately in the range of $129, the Nest Hub’s latest discounted price in the US. Interestingly, the Echo Show 5, which is Google Nest Hub’s direct competitor, is also priced at Rs 8,999. The Nest Hub has a larger 7-inch display when compared to the Echo Show 5’s 5.5-inch display, but notable, the Nest Hub is short of a camera for video calling. A video calling camera would have proved to be an important addition for the Nest Hub, making it more competitive with the Echo Show 5. It is worth noting that Google launched the Nest Hub Max with a larger display and a video calling camera. Unfortunately, we might only see the smaller Nest Hub launch in the country. The Google Nest Hub is expected to launch in India as soon as next week. The integrated Google Assistant can recognise <a href="https://in.pcmag.com/google-1/119735/google-brings-hindi-support-to-assistant-in-its-latest-effort-to-win-in-india">multiple local languages</a>, including Hindi, so interfacing with the device should be an easy task.

From unpleasant insights about love to the truth about meritocracy, here are seven uncomfortable truths people don't like to admit:
<h3>1. Looks matter.</h3>
It's nice to believe in karmic justice where good things happen to good people, but Quora user <a href="http://qr.ae/gQEN4">Dania Faruqui</a> points out that actually, good things tend to happen to good-looking people.
"We keep denying it all the time, but an attractive person has an upper hand over a not-so-attractive person most of the time. Ugly truth," Faruqui writes.
Indeed, research suggests that attractive people <a href="http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052970203687504576655331418204842">make more money</a> and are seen as <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/studies-show-the-advantages-of-being-beautiful-2013-6">smarter and more trustworthy</a> than people who aren't as alluring.
<h3>2. No one is truly altruistic.</h3>
Suraj Agarwal <a href="http://qr.ae/gdW8g">writes</a> that "we are all self-centric; it's just the radius that varies," meaning that the only difference between selfish and unselfish people is how intensely they pursue their self-interest.
Ramachandra Bhakta takes this notion even further <a href="http://qr.ae/gdaFL">by sharing a quote</a> from the Indian philosopher Chanakya to point out that even our most intimate relationships are created to serve our own needs: "There is some self-interest behind every friendship. There is no friendship without self-interests. This is a bitter truth."
<h3>3. There is no such thing as a soulmate.</h3>
Quora user <a href="http://qr.ae/gdVnY">Soumadeep Mazumdar</a> says that despite our personal delusions of grandeur, nobody is actually unique.
"No matter how ahead of the curve you think yourself to be, there will be thousands like you walking the same curve," Mazumdar writes. "You will think that you are the only one who has those odd fetishes or you are the only one awake at that particular hour of the night. But the truth is, there are hundreds, perhaps thousands who are exactly like you."
As a result, Mazumdar says that searching for your "one, true love" is a silly pursuit.
"There are millions who would satisfy your criteria of Ms. Right and Mr. Perfect. It is just coincidence that you found one of them and were acquainted to him or her and now consider them your soulmate."
<h3>4. Life is precious.</h3>
One of the most popular responses in the thread pointed out that everyone eventually dies, and it could happen at any moment.
While we all know we'll die one day, the suddenness with which death could come is something most of us try to forget.
As Quora user <a href="http://qr.ae/O8K21">Mohit Sharma</a> put it, "It's not like they don't believe it; they just ignore the fragility of life."
<h3>5. Nobody has any idea what they're doing.</h3>
If you are confused about what you want to do with your life, take solace in the knowledge that most, if not all of us, are also still figuring things out.
Quora user <a href="http://qr.ae/gLVxX">Josh Vogel</a> writes, "It's drilled into our heads that we have to speak with certainty and confidence about things, especially if we are 'expert' in these things, but the truth is that we don't know."
<a href="http://qr.ae/gLD2E">Sri Teja</a> adds that this uncertainty extends even to successful people who seem to have everything under control.
"The people you look up to are just as nervous as you are," Teja writes. "Succeeding gets a lot easier when you realize that everyone who has ever succeeded has doubted that things will work, has failed terribly, and has generally been where the rest of are: worrying and certain that they aren't good enough."
<h3>6. Success doesn't happen over night.</h3>
Quora user <a href="http://qr.ae/g08Mq">Samyadeep Basu</a> writes, "Most successes happen in small steps and take a long time."
While many people search constantly for a quick fix to turn their lives around, the truth is that the hard work you put in today will likely only begin to pay off months, if not years, down the road.
Even then, <a href="http://qr.ae/g0TgR">Samantha Deakin</a> writes, our hard work doesn't necessarily guarantee future returns.
"There are so many confounding variables in the equation, that often the most successful people have been incredibly lucky in ways that you can only really see when you look back on their lives," Deakin says.
<h3>7. The world is full of suffering.</h3>
While it is certainly worth trying to make things better, no individual's work will put a real dent in the pain and suffering people experience around the world.
In a particularly depressing post, <a href="http://qr.ae/g0P6h">Ishan Rana</a> writes, "Somewhere at this very point in time, someone is being tortured, hostages are being held captive, someone is being raped, girls are being punished for studying, and maybe, just maybe, the homeless guy and his little kid you pass every day hasn't had lunch for days."
Quora user <a href="http://qr.ae/g0M1Z">Andy Lim</a> adds that this knowledge makes it difficult for him to enjoy his life of relative ease. "I choose to not believe this fact, at least while I'm indulging my self."
