<keyword id="6354512" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Infosys">Infosys</keyword> is going to give fat packages to their four presidents. The compensation of the four presidents has crossed $1 million, in fixed and variable pay. 
 
Infosys is aligning its pay packages with the performances and appointed its four presidents and chief compliance officer as key management personnel. 
 
The IT giant said it was looking to create close to 50-50 ratio of fixed to variable pay to closely align its top executives salaries with the company's performance. 
 
Presidents Mohit Joshi, Ravi Kumar S and Sandeep Dadlani will take home $625,000 in fixed pay and an additional $500,000 in variable pay. 
 
They will also receive 52,350 restricted stock units and 112,750 employee stock options. 
 
Meanwhile, the fourth president Rajesh Murthy will receive $540,000 in fixed pay and an additional $450,000 in variable pay. Murthy will receive 45,000 restricted stock units and 96,900 employee stock options. 
 
In a bid to align its structure and give greater client satisfaction, Infosys split its businesses into 15 smaller units. The presidents will take on broader corporate responsibilities. 
 
Apart from the presidents, Infosys’ Chief financial officer MD Ranganath will get Rs 2 crore in fixed pay and an additional Rs 2 crore in variable pay. Group ' human resources head Krishnamurthy Shankar will earn Rs 2.34 crore in fixed pay and Rs 1.86 crore in variable pay.

These measures are likely to affect margins. “Going into the second half, some of these cost increases will now come back like wage hikes, promotions, hiring etc,” said Infosys CFO Nilanjan Roy. Even so, the company has increased in annual margin guidance to between 23% to 24% and hiked the annual revenue guidance to between 2% to 3%. Infosys to reinstate wage hikes, promotions and hiring — will impact margins over the next six months

According to JM Financial, the company’s deal wins are likely to keep the momentum going over the next six months. “Infosys remains our top pick in the sector,” said the brokerage’s report. <div type="image" title="Infosys revenue growth (1)" msid="78674159" hostid="261" caption="&amp;lt;p&amp;gt;Infosys revenue growth over the last 2 years&amp;lt;/p&amp;gt;"></div> The company quarterly revenue was up by 4% in constant currency (CC) beating most market estimates. Infosys share price hits fresh 52-week high after highest-ever deal wins of over $3 billion

<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=infosys&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Infosys</a> registered a 13.4 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 3,436 crore for <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Q1&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Q1</a> ended June 2016 but missed estimate. 
 
The IT major also slashed its revenue guidance for FY 2017 to 10.5-12 per cent in constant currency terms. 
 In its BSE filing, <keyword id="6354512" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Infosys">Infosys</keyword> had posted a net profit of Rs 3,028 crore in the year-ago period as per Indian Accounting Standard. 
 
"We had unanticipated headwinds in discretionary spending in consulting services and package implementations as well as slower project ramp-ups in large deals that we had won in earlier quarters, resulting in a lower than expected growth in Q1," said <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=vishal+sikka&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka</a>. 
 
The consolidated revenue for the quarter was up nearly 17 per cent at Rs 16,782 crore, from Rs 14,354 crore in April-June of 2015. 
 
For the full year 2016-17, Infosys cut its revenue forecast to 10.5-12 per cent in constant currency terms, lower than the previously estimated 11.5-13.5 per cent. 
 
The outlook translates into 11.7-13.2 per cent revenue growth in rupee terms and 10.8-12.3 per cent in dollar terms. 
 
Sikka said Infosys continued to see strong momentum in large deal wins. 
 
The company added 3,006 employees (net basis) from March quarter, taking its headcount to 1.97 lakh employees as on June 30, 2016. The attrition rate was at 21 per cent for the said quarter. 
 
Liquid assets, including cash and cash equivalents, available-for-sale financial assets and government bonds, were Rs 33,212 crore in the quarter under review compared with Rs 34,468 crore as on March 31, 2016.

Infosys posts 13.4% rise in net profit, misses estimates

MUMBAI: IT major <keyword id="6354512" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Infosys">Infosys</keyword> has remained firm after reporting a 3.5 per cent cut in Q1 net profit. The change of guard at Infosys, with <keyword id="6369763" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Vishal-Sikka">Vishal Sikka</keyword> taking over as the <keyword id="5645" type="POSITION" weightage="20" keywordseo="CEO">CEO</keyword>, has been positively accepted by both the Infosys employees and investor community 
 
Since taking over, Sikka has taken five key steps, early signs of which seem to suggest that there has been a change in the mood from near-despondency to excitement. 
 
Sikka’s 5-point strategy includes winning confidence of seniors, promoting engineers, connecting with employees, meeting clients and meeting venture capitalists. 
 
“Infosys was going through a period of internal struggle and turmoil and it came to grips with a generational change in leadership,” said Dipen Sheth, Head-Institutional Research, HDFC Securities, to ET Now. 
 
“By and large the ship has been steadied now. It is a fantastic business. It has got lots of cash on the balance sheet. It has got probably the best or close to the best name that one can think of in terms of brand salience in Indian IT,” he added. 
 
According to him, the inflexion point in Infosys happened when the sentiment was at its worst near Rs 3,000. 
 
“If you will allow me the luxury of hindsight, I do not think there is much that can go wrong unless they shoot themselves in the foot from here on. I do not see how you can lose money in Infosys,” Sheth added. 
 <keyword id="48670" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Morgan-Stanley">Morgan Stanley</keyword> is of the view that Infosys can surprise the street positively on margins. 
 “Going by historical patterns, we think the <keyword id="54324" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="india-business">India business</keyword> will revert to profitability from 2Q15 and could boost Infosys’ overall margins. Overall, we believe Infosys could continue to surprise the Street positively on operating margins, and earnings estimates could further move up over the coming quarters,” the report said. 
 
The brokerage will now be looking for factors such as pickup in revenue growth in 2Q, strong deal wins, sustenance of FY guidance and strategy possibly from the new CEO in the second quarter results. 
 
Morgan Stanley has a target of Rs 4,000 on the stock. 
 
Meanwhile, Jefferies has downgraded the stock to hold from buy. It has cut the price target to Rs 3,520 from Rs 3,675 earlier. According to the brokerage, incremental improvements are a challenge for the company. The margin gains now depend on revenue growth, which is still lacking. For the new management, opportunities are not without challenges, it says. 
 
The stock of Infosys has gained over 8 per cent since its Q1FY15 quarter results reported last month.

Will Vishal Sikka's Strategy Take Infosys Stock To Rs 4,000?

The country's largest lender <keyword id="13222" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="sbi" source="Orion">SBI</keyword> on Saturday reported a 9.13 per cent growth in consolidated net profit for the September quarter to Rs 16,099.58 crore. The state-run lender had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 14,752 crore in the year-ago period and Rs 18,356 crore in the June quarter. On a standalone basis, it posted a net profit of Rs 14,330.02 crore as against Rs 13,264.52 crore in the year-ago period. The bank, which controls over a fifth of the overall market and has the widest network in the country, reported a total income of over Rs 1.12 lakh crore for the quarter under review, up from Rs 88,733 crore in the year-ago period. From an asset quality perspective, its gross non-performing assets ratio was at 2.55 per cent as of September 30, an improvement from the 3.52 per cent in the year-ago period and the 2.76 per cent in the first quarter of the current fiscal. Its overall capital adequacy stood at 14.28 per cent as of September 30.
