Its hydro-pneumatic suspension allows it to aim its gun higher or lower than standard tanks, which is useful for targets at high elevations. They were used for scouting for enemy forces, screening for friendly troops, and conducting armored reconnaissance, as well as for skirmishes and fire-support missions.By the middle of World War II, tanks were mostly classified as heavy, medium, or light. Two of them, the <a href="https://guardingindia.com/china/exclusive-why-are-the-indian-army-trusting-t-72-ajeya-tanks-for-lac/" target="_top">T-72 "Ajeya"</a> and <a href="https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/meet-indias-t-90m-bhishma-tank-russian-tech-indian-made-136987" target="_top">T-90 "Bhishma"</a> main battle tanks (MBTs), are built in India using Russian designs. The third, the <a href="https://indianexpress.com/article/explained/explained-what-is-the-arjun-main-battle-tank-mk-1a-7188226/" target="_top">Arjun</a>, is of Indian design.The Russian tanks, designed to operate in the cold, make up most of India's fleet of about 4,000 tanks. A few of the tanks <a href="https://twitter.com/PBNS_India/status/1361612912062730243/photo/2" target="_top">appear</a> to be legacy models, likely Type 80/88s.  Infibeam — a digital company in India that deal with online transaction and e-commerce — informed the Indian stock exchanges that its auditor SRBC &amp; Co, shared unpublished price sensitive information (UPSI) over emails and with third parties not once, but multiple times. And, as the stock markets opened Monday morning, its stock price plummeted by almost 8% to ₹40 per share before recovering. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the <keyword id="43628" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bombay-stock-exchange">Bombay Stock Exchange</keyword> (BSE) — two of India’s biggest stock markets — are yet to act on the issue but Infibeam maintains that there has been a breach of trust and loss of faith.

Lucknow, Feb 7 () Javelin Joint Venture (JJV), a partnership of two US-based defence majors Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, has signed an MoU with Indian PSU Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) to explore co-production of Javelin anti-tank guided missile system, according to a press release. Javelin is an anti-tank guided missile system that can be carried and launched by a single person. The agreement was signed between JJV and BDL on Thursday here at DefExpo, India's biennial defence exhibition. "We look forward to working with BDL, a leading guided weapon system manufacturer, to evaluate the possibility of manufacturing Javelin in India," said JJV Vice President David Pantano. "With BDL's 50 years of experience, combined with Javelin's reliability and proven performance, we are excited to see how this partnership will support the needs of the Indian Ministry of Defence," Pantano stated. According to the press statement, "Javelin is currently in service in 18 allied countries. The JJV has produced more than 45,000 rounds for both US and foreign militaries." This is when someone posing as an attractive person entice another into revealing confidential information or doing something unwise. The increasing frequency of such incidents has led the Indian government to ask Indian Army soldiers to remove Facebook, Instagram and 87 other apps from their phones. It normally starts off with a ‘pretty, young woman’ liking a soldier’s post on social media, according to the Indian Army. After some light conversation, the woman normally asking for more photos of guns, tanks, and aircraft. Over time, the conversation moves to direct messages and WhatsApp chats where the operative of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) tries to blackmail the ‘honey-trapped’ soldier into divulging defence secrets. A prominent example is of a lady who called herself as <a href="https://www.news18.com/news/india/50-soldiers-honey-trapped-by-pakistani-agent-jawan-arrested-for-leaking-sensitive-info-2000709.html">Anika Chopra</a> posed as an Army Captain at the Military Nursing Corps online managing to trap at least 50 jawans in the Indian Army. In another case, a soldier in training from Rohtak was found to have <a href="https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/honey-trapped-haryana-man-scouted-army-camps-during-tests-to-leak-info-to-isi-police/story-24YQaRun43l91p17mvFI3N.html#:~:text=A%2023%2Dyear%2Dold%20man,for%20recruitment%20tests%2C%20police%20said.">shared multiple pictures</a> from at least 18 different Army Recruitment Centres. Honey trap as a weapon The Army describes honey-trapping as a weapon of hybrid warfare being waged by its enemies. In addition to being wary of women trying to flirt with them online, soldiers have also been asked to not post photos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram while in uniform or alongside military equipment, installations and cantonments in the backdrop. Operation Dolphin Nose is an ongoing investigation by the Indian Navy to track down personnel being honey-trapped. In December, seven Indian Navy sailors were arrested under Operation Dolphin Nose for leaking sensitive information regarding the Navy to Pakistan. In January this year, three more navy personnel were <a href="https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/operation-dolphin-nose-three-more-navy-personnel-arrested-espionage-case-linked-pakistan-1633884-2020-01-04">arrested for spying</a>. Other don’ts include not giving out names, ranks and deployment locations. They have also been asked to not brag about military achievements on social media. Information about military exercises, operations, transfer and promotions is also considered an actionable offence. The operation called Dolphin's Nose helped the security officials crack this racket, following which several measures were taken by the Indian Navy.
