<ul><li><keyword id="6354756" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="bcci" source="Orion">BCCI</keyword> today announced that its centrally-contracted male and female cricketers will get equal match fees, ending the gender pay gap.<br /></li><li>Accordingly, women cricketers will now earn ₹15 lakh per Test, ₹6 lakh per ODI, and ₹3 lakh per T20I match.<br /></li><li>The decision has been praised by the likes of Union Minister <keyword id="6612" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="smriti-irani" source="Orion">Smriti Irani</keyword>, former Indian women’s cricket team captain <keyword id="68864" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="mithali-raj" source="Orion">Mithali Raj</keyword>, current captain Harmanpreet Kaur, and other male cricketers.<br /></li></ul>The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/sports/news/bcci-announces-equal-pay-for-centrally-contracted-male-and-female-players/articleshow/95117601.cms">announced</a> that centrally-contracted women and men cricketers will get equal match fees.
