With a score of 314 marks out of 360, R.K. Shishir from Bombay zone has secured the first rank in the <keyword id="6354859" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="iit" source="Orion">IIT</keyword> entrance examination JEE-Advanced, the results of which were declared on Sunday. R.K. Shishir is the topper among the students whose names are included in the list of top 10 in JEE-Advanced exam. <keyword id="14954873" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="polu-lakshmi-sai" source="Orion">Polu Lakshmi Sai</keyword> came at number two, <keyword id="14954874" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="thomas-biju" source="Orion">Thomas Biju</keyword> at number three, <keyword id="14954872" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="vangapalli-sai-siddharth" source="Orion">Vangapalli Sai Siddharth</keyword> at number four and Mayank Motwani of IIT Delhi zone came at number five. <keyword id="14954875" type="General" weightage="50" keywordseo="polishetty-kartikeya" source="Orion">Polishetty Kartikeya</keyword> is at 6th position, Prateek Sahu is 7th, Dheeraj Kurukunda is 8th in All India Rank, Mahit is at 9th position and Vetcha Gnana Mahesh has secured 10th position. Among the girls, Tanishka Kabra of IIT Delhi Zone bagged the top rank, while in common rank list she is at 16th place. Tanishka secured 277 marks out of 360 in JEE-Advanced exam. 40,712 candidates qualified this year out of a total of 1,55,538 who appeared in both Paper 1 and 2 of JEE-Advanced 2022. Based on the results, the admission process will now begin in 23 IITs across the country. Of the total 40,712 candidates who have qualified the JEE-Advanced exam, 6516 are girl students. In the case of foreign students, 296 foreign girl students had registered themselves for JEE-Advanced examinations. However, only foreign 280 students appeared and a 145 cracked the examination. JEE-Advanced exam was held on August 28. The test for the first paper of JEE-Advanced exam was held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and the second paper was held from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. In order to prevent electronic malpractices in the JEE-Advanced examination, 'jammers' were installed at the centres. JEE-Advanced Results: RK Shishir of IIT Bombay  tops zone

<keyword id="997182" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Aman-Bansal">Aman Bansal</keyword>, the boy from Jaipur, who has topped the IIT-JEE(Advanced) Exams is the talk of the town ever since the results were announced early on Sunday morning. 
 
Ask the boy how he managed to top <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Rejected-by-IIT-this-blind-man-went-to-MIT-and-is-now-a-CEO-of-a-50-crore-company/articleshow/51742269.cms">one of the toughest exams in the country</a>, and there comes his reply – “It is really very surprising for me. I was not very sure that I’d achieve first rank. I was just doing my best all this while.”

Bansal’s success mantra, however, lies in what he calls a not-so-tight routine. “I used to keep a daily/weekly fixed target routine where I would try and achieve as much as possible. Throughout the 12 months of preparation, I followed this to keep myself on track for finishing the syllabus and have enough time for revision subsequently.” 
 
He said he did not feel that the level of questions in <a href="http://www.testcurrentaffairs.com/2016/06/success-story-aman-bansal-iit-jee-advanced-2016-topper-interview.html">JEE Main examination</a> were extraordinarily difficult this year. “It remains more or less the same every year. My score was 186 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2. Between Mains and Advanced, I personally feel none was tough for me. But if I had to choose, I would say Mains had many complicated questions compared to Advanced. I found advanced easier for me. Also, Mains was lengthier.” 
 
He also has an advice for others who will appear for the test next year – “This year exam was more factual than previous years. It may continue. Please make sure you are prepared for both conceptual and factual.” 
 
The boy is planning to celebrate his success rather humbly - by spending time with parents and friends, who, he says, have helped him a lot throughout his preparation phase. 
 
But before that, he is happy to share some more tips on how aspirants should prepare. Here take cue from his own experience. Bansal studied for 8 hours daily apart from attending the coaching classes. He took lot of mock tests and says it helps a lot in preparing for the ultimate day. Physics and Mathematics were his two favourite subjects, and he says, he never felt they were tough because he enjoyed solving the questions. 
 
“I was attentive everywhere, so all I had to do was revise whatever they would teach me and do my homework for the class,” Bansal says, adding that even as he put all his energy and hard work in cracking this exam, he handled stress and pressure very calmly. 
 
Now, this Jaipur lad wants to opt for <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/IIT-Bombay-ORCA/articleshow/52499437.cms">IIT Bombay</a>. “I am thinking about taking up Computer science as my specialization. I will do some research work, but haven’t decided which subject I will choose for research,” he says. 
 
As he concludes his enriching experience, the motivating words coming from this young boy are – “Try to give your best and you will succeed one day. Never get bogged down by the facts that you are from rural/poor background. Its only hard work that matters and nothing else.”

IIT-JEE (Advanced) Topper Aman Bansal shares how he secured Rank 1 in one of India's Toughest Exam

IIT Roorkee announced the JEE Advanced result today on 14 June 2019. Maharashtra’s <keyword id="7757730" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="kartikeya-gupta">Kartikeya Gupta</keyword> topped JEE advanced exam 2019 scoring 346 marks out of 360. Gupta, who is a student from Allen Institute Kota scored 93.7% in class 12th examination and plans to take up computer science at IIT Mumbai. His father is working in the paper industry as a General Manager. On being asked about his secret to success, Gupta told <a href="https://zeenews.india.com/india/maharashtras-kartikeya-gupta-tops-jee-advanced-exam-allahabads-himanshu-singh-2nd-delhis-archit-bubna-3rd-2211477.html">ZEE Business</a> that he used to focus on the entrance study for nearly four to six hours a day. He also noted that daily revision and relaxation of mind is important for better results. Among the toppers is Himanshu Singh from Allahabad and Archit Bubna of New Delhi who secured second and third rank, respectively, in the JEE Advanced examination 2019. Last year, Pranav Goyal from Chandigarh topped the JEE Advanced examination, scoring 337 marks. The JEE examination was conducted on 27 May 2019. Last year, Pranav Goyal from Chandigarh topped the JEE Advanced examination, scoring 337 out of 360 in the examination. The examination was conducted on 27 May 2019. It’s good news for the Pink City as both the highest and third highest scorer of IIT (JEE) Advanced – exam conducted for admissions to <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/IIT-Bombay-ORCA/articleshow/52499437.cms">premier IITs</a> - are from Jaipur this year. 
 A boy named <keyword id="997182" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Aman-Bansal">Aman Bansal</keyword> has emerged as the topper, while another boy <keyword id="1154775" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Kunal-Goyal">Kunal Goyal</keyword> has stood third in the engineering test deemed to be the toughest in the country. Meanwhile, Bhavesh Dhingra from Yamuna Nagar (Haryana) has bagged the second position.

The results which were announced earlier today on the official website also showed another name - Riya Singh ( with an All India Rank of 133), also from Rajasthan (Kota), as the topper among girls. 
 
In all, 36,566 of the 1.47 lakh aspirants, who appeared for the test held on May 22, have qualified in the examination that was organised by <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/the-new-iit-preparation-app-and-what-makes-it-the-best-move-by-any-government-in-curbing-rising-student-suicides-so-far/articleshow/52361218.cms">IIT</a> Guwahati in collaboration with the Joint Admission Board 2016 across various centres throughout the country. Of the students who qualified, 4,570 are girls. 
 Duggani Jeevithiesh from <keyword id="61280" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="VIJAYWADA">Vijaywada</keyword> topped the students who appeared from the OBC category, <keyword id="3409424" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="chinmay-awale">Chinmay Awale</keyword> from Navi Mumbai topped in the SC category, Chaitanya Naik in the ST category and Hari Prasad K from Guntur topped the physically disabled category. 
 
Now, the performance of candidates in Advanced will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/Admissions-to-IITs-NITs-through-JEE-Advanced/articleshow/49179824.cms">Indian Institute of Technology (IITs)</a> and the Indian School of Mines (ISM).

Delhi boy <keyword id="3439623" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Deepanshu-Jindal">Deepanshu Jindal</keyword>, the topper of the prestigious <keyword id="1665948" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="IIT-JEE-Main">IIT-JEE Main</keyword> this year, says he wants to pursue higher education after graduation from IIT Delhi, and ultimately become an entrepreneur. 
 
"I want to pursue Computer Science Engineering from IIT Delhi. I am quite interested in Research and Development and would want to do entrepreneurship in R&amp;D," says Jindal. 
 
A student of SB Public School in the national capital, this lad took his<a href="http://www.pagalguy.com/articles/jee-main-2016-topper-deepanshu-jindal-chooses-iit-delhi-over-44532308"> IIT Coaching from Narayana IIT Academy</a>. 
 
You may be thinking he must have not taken his eyes of books, but Jindal says that's not been the case with him. He is a keen sports fan who plays cricket and football regularly to take the much-needed break from his hectic schedule. Apart from sports, Jindal also likes social networking and is quite active on Facebook, Google+ and WhatsApp. 
 He has secured 111 in Physics, 110 in Maths and 100 in chemistry in JEE Main, and 98.6% in Class 12 CBSE because of which his rank jumped from 20 to 1 after the normalisation process. Meanwhile, Pratyush Maini from Gurgaon has secured the second position, and <keyword id="1033212" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Rajesh-Bansal">Rajesh Bansal</keyword> of <keyword id="195874" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sanskriti-School">Sanskriti School</keyword> stood third. 
 
The rank List, uploaded at <a href="http://jeemain.nic.in/webinfo/Public/Home.aspx">http://jeemain.nic.in/webinfo/Public/Home.aspx</a> shows that boys have dominated the list of toppers. Of the top 1,000 positions, 853 have been secured by boys and 147 by girls. Ryali Gayathri from Telangana has emerged on the top among girls, securing the 11th rank. 
 The <keyword id="3439624" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="All-India-Rankings">All India Rankings</keyword> are based on their JEE Main score (60 per cent weightage) and Class 12 scores (40 per cent weightage). Admissions to BE and B Tech courses in engineering institutions like NITs, IIITs are made on the basis of these rankings. 
 
Meanwhile, in another significant move for admission to the IITs - for which scores in IIT (Advanced) exam is the basis, the first list of allocation of seats for IITs will be released on July 1. 
 
Among boards, CBSE students have done well, getting 12 of the top 20 ranks. States boards like Telangana (6 of the top 20 positions), Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra too find students among toppers. 
 Around 11.28 lakh students had appeared for the <keyword id="75235" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="IIT-JEE">IIT JEE</keyword> Main exam, officials said, adding, results were announced a week in advance as compared to last year.

IIT-JEE topper says he knows he wants to become an entrepreneur

Meet <keyword id="3422364" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Savitri-Kashyap">Savitri Kashyap</keyword>, a young <keyword id="6501319" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="tribal-girl">tribal girl</keyword> belonging to a small farmer family from Chhattisgarh’s <keyword id="68723" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Bastar">Bastar</keyword> district who has become the talk of the town lately, after she recently cracked the highly-competitive IIT-JEE (Advanced) exam this year. 
 Before we tell you more about her and her feat, it’s important to throw some light on the city she hails from. Just 2 days back, at least 45 Maoists surrendered before police and a total of 240 of them have given up since the start of the year. Living in this place, where crimes like fake encounters, cold-blooded murders, and rapes are rampant, it’s as close as one can get to hell. Maoists here have taken up arms against the government and urge many like <keyword id="166738" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Savitri">Savitri</keyword>’s family to either join them in their violence, or be ready to be tortured or killed. The women are raped at their own will. Fear runs through this society day and night. These extremists are also against any kind of education being given to children, especially if its state-sponsored because their fight is against the government. 
 
In such circumstances, for Savitri to be able to secure an All India Rank of 1135 in one of India’s toughest competitive exam when her family is not financially sound enough to afford her education, is a huge feat. 
 
The humble girl credits her success entirely to the government assistance she received in being able to arrange the resources to study and prepare for the exam. "Had it not been for my teachers, I couldn't have done this," she says. 
 
The government programme she enrolled herself in is called 'Prayas Programme' which was started back in 2010 by the state's tribal welfare department. Students from the Left Wing Extremism (LWE) districts and other tribal areas are kept in tribal hostels in the capital Raipur and are imparted coaching along with the regular studies at the higher secondary level. However, this too didn’t come easy for Savitri, as she had to appear for an entrance exam and qualify it to be able to avail the benefits of the programme. 
 
But, once she got into the program, she could get the books to study and guidance from her school teachers to prepare for the exam. Soon, she became the lone kid from not only Bastar, but Chhattisgarh to crack IIT-JEE (Mains). Time flew, as she continued studying hard with a newer self confidence, only to crack the JEE Advanced as well! 
 Savitri’s father <keyword id="3424524" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="mahadev-kashyap">Mahadev Kashyap</keyword>, is entirely dependent on his 10 acres of land for providing a basic life to his six daughters and a son. He is a proud father as three of his daughters are already well placed in decent government job, and Savitri is scaling newer heights. 
This little girl has already made her village proud, and dreams to study in IIT Kharagpur.

Being over hyped for its IIT JEE culture and too much of stress-related suicides happening, the small town of Kota has already gained too much ill repute. And now Hyderabad is outshining the Rajasthan’s small town in terms of success. 
 
While the number of coaching institutes catering to the IIT aspirant crowd are mushrooming every season in Hyderabad, this year at least 1.5 lakhs of students have joined the race. 
 
"The fascination among students in Telangana and AP for JEE has only increased over the years. It is only in the last one decade that there has been a sudden rise in the number of takers. The coaching industry has only catered to the increasing demand," Dheeraj Kumar Misra, regional director, operations, south zone at Aakash Educational Services Pvt Ltd told The Times of India. 
 
In the 90s, the number of aspirants was barely 3000, which has now pumped up to 1.5 lakh. Hyderabad has dominated the merit list with almost 50 percent of the top 10 rankers for the past several years. If the results for JEE (advanced) 2016 are anything to go by, then six out of top 10 rankers were from Hyderabad.

Barely a week after changing its stance over the national encryption policy, the Indian government does it again, this time on the issue of the appointment of <keyword id="133709" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="brand-ambassadors">brand ambassadors</keyword> for <keyword id="1929810" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="Digital-India">Digital India</keyword>. 
 <keyword id="155537" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Ankit-Fadia">Ankit Fadia</keyword>, who calls himself an ethical hacker claimed on Monday that he was issued a certificate to become an ambassador for Digital India a couple of months ago by the <keyword id="2144434" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Department-of-Information-and-Technology">Department of Information and Technology</keyword>. 
 However, after a controversy erupted on social media on Fadia’s qualifications which are allegedly doubted, the ministry of communications and IT issued a statement on the <keyword id="107241" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="Press-Information-Bureau">Press Information Bureau</keyword> on Tuesday morning saying that no brand ambassadors have been appointed for the time-being. 
 
"There were certain news reports that there is move to appoint a brand ambassador for Digital India programme of the government. This is to clarify that there has been no such move to appoint a brand ambassador as reported," said the statement. 
 
In a matter of few hours, this statement was revoked. The reason given was that the statement was withdrawn because there was no clarity on the official position and it could so happen that some ambassadors might have been appointed. 
 
Finally, on Tuesday evening the government cleared the air and confirmed that it had appointed four brand ambassadors for its Digital India campaign, which kick-started on July 1. 
 
A release issued by the department of telecom said, " Satwat Jagwani, All India IIT-JEE —Advanced Topper -2015, Krati Tiwari, All India IIT-JEE—Advanced Girl Topper -2015, Ankit Fadia, Author &amp; Ethical Hacker and Pranav Mistry, Samsung USA (Computer Scientist and author of 6th Sense)," were the four ambassadors appointed for one year. 
 
It further stated that the services of these Brand Ambassadors will be used, as and when required for generating mass awareness for the programme.
