IGNOU releases term-end exam (TEE) admit card. Here’s how to download

Given the rising concerns over the <keyword id="1754604" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="coronavirus">Coronavirus</keyword> pandemic and the nationwide lockdowns, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (<keyword id="56469" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="IGNOU">IGNOU</keyword>) has extended the last date for submitting forms to appear for the end-term examination in June 2020. “Keeping in view the spread of Coronavirus, the epidemic and complete lockdown throughout the country, the last date of accepting the June 2020 term-end examination forms without late fee has been extended up to 30th April 2020,” the announcement said. The last date of submissions has now been extended till April 30 — which was earlier scheduled on March 31. However, any submissions made after the rescheduled date will incur a late fee of ₹1,000. <div type="image" title="ignou" msid="74790232" hostid="261"></div>

 The students can submit the forms on the <a href="http://www.ignou.ac.in/">official website</a>. The exam fee for all the courses is ₹150 per course. Also, the centres will be allotted on a first come first serve basis. The development came after the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) said that no educational institutions will remain operational till March 31. That includes schools board exams, universities and entrances. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also suspended exams till March 31, in the wake of Coronavirus. Given that, JEE Mains has also been postponed.

The initiative is coordinated by a group of concerned academicians. "We the members of academic fraternity fully support the government decision to conduct <keyword id="6392660" type="DEFINITION" weightage="20" keywordseo="JEE">JEE</keyword> and <keyword id="6361994" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="NEET">NEET</keyword> exams," they wrote. Hitting out at the naysayers, they wrote: "The dreams and future of our youth and students cannot be compromised at any cost. However, some are trying to play with the future of our students simply to propel their own political agenda and oppose the government. "We hope and strongly believe that under your able leadership, the central government will successfully conduct the JEE and NEET exams taking full precautions to ensure that the future of students is taken care of and the academic calendar for 2020-21 is rolled out." They say that they "wholeheartedly welcome" the government's move, while citing the Supreme Court dismissing a petition for postponement of these exams saying that any further delay in conducting the tests would result in waste of precious year for students. They wrote that "Youth and students are the future of the nation but in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, clouds of uncertainty have gathered over their careers too". There are a lot of apprehensions about admissions and classes which, they say, need to be resolved at the earliest. Prof. C.B. JEE-NEET exams: Over 100 academicians from DU, JNU, and Central University Kerala write to PM Modi in support

New Delhi, Mar 16 () Online/e-learning is the most preferred way of training among learners as it provides flexibility to learn anywhere and anytime at a cost-effective manner, says a survey. According to Velocity MR, a leading market research and analysis company, 72 per cent Indians prefer online/e-learning mode of training than traditional classroom training. The findings of the survey comes at a time when many state governments have advised all schools to remain shut until the situation gets under control amid Covid-19 scare. The global economy has plunging into a deep crisis due to coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic that has killed over 6,000 and sickened lakhs of people around the globe. Byju's is the most-known e-learning app followed by other apps like Udemy, Coursera, Unacademy, Lynda, NIIT, IGNOU, Oliveboard, it noted. The study also saw that online/e-learning is not only beneficial to the learners but also to the teachers. This mode of teaching saves time, provides flexibility to teach from anywhere while also allowing teachers to assist the learners directly, the survey said. "Our survey shows that the age range of 25 to 45 years prefers online learning. Among 94 per cent of people who opt for online learning are the working professionals working in industries like IT/computers/Technology," said Jasal Shah, managing director and CEO of Velocity MR. Shah further noted that one fourth of the learners still prefer traditional classroom training as they feel that student and teacher face-to-face interaction helps understand the subject more easily. The survey was conducted in February and covered over 2,000 individuals in cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, NCR, Pune, Hyderabad, and Ahemdabad. DRR SHWSHW

According to World Health Organization (WHO), India is home to 15 million people who are visually impaired, out of a total 37 million people worldwide. Children with visual impairment require special schools but fortunately, many government and non-government institutions are now working towards this direction. 1. Institution For The Blind Established in 1939 in Lahore, IFB was relocated to Delhi after the Partition. 4. National Association For The Blind 
Started in 1979, NAB was awarded the prestigious National Award by the Indian government for its key role in the welfare of the visually challenged people. In collaboration with the National Institute of Open Schooling and IGNOU, NAB has been successfully helping kids with visual impairment – so that they can be self-reliant after completing their studies. It also provides training in Computer Operations and IT, and has a Braille press to take care of the special needs of these children.
