"India is seeing strong FII net outflows and needs to do more on the policy front to make expensive markets attractive to global capital flows. RBI MPC meets next week but is expected to stay conservative. At best, we can expect a policy stance change to a more dovish outlook. Things are not rosy for Indian markets, but the primary market frenzy continues unabated. Caution amid volatility,” said Ajay Bagga, Banking and Market Expert. The US markets ended marginally higher on Wednesday. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) offloaded equities worth ₹5,579.35 crore on Tuesday, according to exchange data. Global oil benchmark Brent crude climbed 1.15 per cent to $74.75 a barrel. "In Tuesday's trade, FIIs were net sellers of ₹5,579 crore, while crude oil prices surged above $70 per barrel amid escalating tensions in the Middle East," said Prashanth Tapse, Senior VP (Research), Mehta Equities Ltd. The BSE benchmark dipped 33.49 points or 0.04 per cent to settle at 84,266.29 on Tuesday. The Nifty ended marginally lower by 13.95 points or 0.05 per cent to 25,796.90. Sensex, Nifty slump in early trade as Middle East conflict deepens

The 30-share BSE benchmark declined by 14.57 points or 0.02% to settle at 84,914.04, snapping its three-day record-breaking run. China announcing stimulus measures to bolster its economy fuelled metal shares. In the morning trade, the 30-share BSE Sensex scaled the 85,000 level, jumping 234.62 points or 0.27% to scale a new all-time intra-day peak of 85,163.23. The index, however, hit a low of 84,716.07 in the afternoon session due to profit-taking at record levels. Selling in <keyword id="20002610" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hindustan-Unilever" source="keywords">Hindustan Unilever</keyword>, Kotak Mahindra Bank and <keyword id="19900482" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ICICI-Bank" source="keywords">ICICI Bank</keyword> dragged the key index from the day's highs. The Nifty eked out gains of 1.35 points or 0.01% to close at a fresh high of 25,940.40. During the day, it climbed 72.5 points or 0.27% to hit a new record intra-day high of 26,011.55. Vinod Nair, Head of Research, Geojit Financial Services said, "Domestic benchmarks are attempting to sustain new highs, driven by the US Fed's aggressive rate cut. Meanwhile, the Chinese central bank's rate cut, and additional stimulus measures have positively influenced global investor sentiment, resulting in gains for domestic metal stocks." Conversely, FMCG and banking stocks exhibited declines due to profit-booking at higher levels, he said, adding that in the near term, strong inflows from FIIs, driven by the US Fed's dovish outlook and expectations of a rate cut by the RBI in October, are expected to maintain momentum. From the 30 Sensex firms, Hindustan Unilever, UltraTech Cement, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IndusInd Bank, Titan, Nestle, Bajaj Finance and Asian Paints were among the biggest laggards. Tata Steel, Power Grid, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Mahindra &amp; Mahindra and JSW Steel were among the gainers. The BSE midcap gauge climbed 0.21% while the smallcap index dipped 0.04%. Among the indices, FMCG declined by 0.75%, telecommunication (0.57%), services (0.45%), financial services (0.40%), consumer durables (0.31%) and bankex (0.30%). “Technically, the index is oscillating within a rising channel and is trading near the upper trend line resistance of the channel pattern, which is around the range of 25,900-26,000 levels, making them a strong hurdle in the short term. Therefore, on the upside, 26,000 will act as an immediate hurdle for Nifty. If the index sustains above 26,000 it could test the levels of 26,200. On the downside, 25,600 will serve as strong support for the index,” said Hrishikesh Yedve, AVP Technical and Derivatives Research, Asit C. Mehta Investment Interrmediates. Metal surged 2.78%, power jumped 1.38%, utilities (1.18%), commodities (0.95%) and industrials (0.47%). "Although markets ended on a lacklustre note after a volatile session, key benchmark indices hit new milestones signifying that liquidity flows has remained strong as investors are confident of India's long term growth story," said Prashanth Tapse, Senior VP (Research), Mehta Equities Ltd. "Nifty ended on a flat note in a volatile session on Tuesday after crossing 26,000 for the first time. Asian stocks rose on Tuesday to their highest in more than two and half years, heartened by broad stimulus measures from China while expectations for more US rate cuts kept risk sentiment up," Deepak Jasani, Head of Retail Research, HDFC Securities, said. In Asian markets, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai and Hong Kong settled in the positive territory. Shanghai and Hong Kong markets ended significantly higher. European markets were trading in the green. The US markets ended higher on Monday. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) bought equities worth ₹404.42 crore on Monday, according to exchange data. S&amp;P Global Ratings on Tuesday retained India's growth forecast at 6.8% for the current fiscal and said it expects the RBI to start cutting interest rates in its October monetary policy review. Global oil benchmark Brent crude jumped 2.35% to $75.64 a barrel. Rallying for the third day running on Monday, the BSE benchmark jumped 384.30 points or 0.45% to settle at an all-time high of 84,928.61. The initial share sale will be open for public subscription during May 8-10 and the bidding for anchor investors will open for a day on May 7, the company said in a statement. This will be the third maiden public issue opening next week after TBO Tek and Indegene. Aadhar Housing Finance's initial public offering (<keyword id="19898327" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="IPO" source="keywords">IPO</keyword>) is a combination of a fresh issue of <keyword id="20035340" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="equity-shares" source="keywords">equity shares</keyword> worth Rs 1,000 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of Rs 2,000 crore by promoter BCP Topco VII Pte Ltd, an affiliate of Blackstone Group Inc. The company plans to utilise Rs 750 crore of the fresh issue proceeds to meet future capital requirements towards onward lending and a portion will also be used for general corporate purposes. "The listing is a significant milestone for Aadhar Housing Finance and its transformation is a great example of what we do best: building businesses that build India. We brought our scale, network, and best global practices to grow the business, and empowered the company in digitising its processes, end-to-end from origination to collection," Amit Dixit, Head of Private Equity Asia at Blackstone, said. Half of the issue size has been reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), 35 per cent for retail investors and the remaining 15 per cent for non-institutional investors. Earlier this month, Aadhar Housing Finance received Sebi's go-ahead to float the IPO. Aadhar Housing Finance offers a range of mortgage-related loan products, including loans for residential property purchase and construction; home improvement and extension loans; and loans for commercial property construction and acquisition. The company is an HFC focused on the low-income housing segment, serving economically weaker and low-to-middle-income customers, who require small-ticket mortgage loans. It has a network of 471 branches, including 91 sales offices, as of September 30, 2023. The company benefits from the resources, relationships and expertise of Blackstone, one of the world's leading investment firms. IT services major HCL Technologies on Monday reported a 10.51% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹4,235 crore in the July-September quarter of FY25, as the company raised the lower band of its growth guidance on the back of better-than-expected performance. Reliance Industries on Monday reported a 5% fall in the July-September quarter net profit as weak oil refining and petrochemical business hurt operational performance. "The sharp cut in Brent crude by 3% is a macro positive for India, but CPI inflation for September coming worse-than-expected at 5.49% is a concern...," said V K Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist, Geojit Financial Services. Soaring vegetable prices pushed the retail inflation rate to a nine-month high of 5.49% in September, according to government data released on Monday. Global oil benchmark Brent crude dropped 2.98% to $75.15 a barrel. In <keyword id="20155107" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Asian-markets" source="keywords">Asian markets</keyword>, Seoul and Tokyo were quoting in the positive territory while Shanghai and Hong Kong traded lower. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) offloaded equities worth ₹3,731.59 crore on Monday, according to exchange data. However, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) bought equities worth ₹2,278.09 crore. "Even though FIIs continue to sell, the intensity of their selling has come down reducing the pressure on largecaps," Vijayakumar added. The BSE benchmark Sensex jumped 591.69 points or 0.73% to settle at 81,973.05 on Monday. The Nifty climbed 163.70 points or 0.66% to 25,127.95. "The Nifty continues to show resilience, with bullish momentum supported by positive global market trends and strong Q2 earnings from HCL Tech," Prashanth Tapse, Senior VP (Research), Mehta Equities Ltd, said. The Nifty closed above the key resistance of 25,600, signaling further upside potential toward the 25,900-26,000 range. However, traders should keep an eye on the short-term profit booking, as indicated by the formation of a Shooting Star-like candlestick pattern near the index’s all-time high. Immediate support for the Nifty stands at 25,500, with additional support levels at 25,300 and 25,120, according to technical analysts. As long as the Nifty remains above 25,600, a "Buy on Dips" strategy is advisable for traders. However, if it falls below 25,620, a "Sell on Rise" approach might be more prudent. "The recent surge in major indices, particularly the high beta index BankNifty, indicates a favorable shift in market dynamics. It is recommended to capitalize on the upward momentum by taking profits, rather than adopting an aggressive stance in the overbought territory," says Osho Krishan, Senior Analyst - Technical &amp; Derivatives, Angel One Ltd. <h3>What's next for the markets?</h3>As markets head into uncharted territory, the focus will shift to key macroeconomic indicators, including inflation, geopolitical concerns, and global economic trends. Sensex @ 84k: With 1,359 pts gain, benchmark index settles above historic mark

New Delhi, <keyword id="19938772" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="reliance-industries-ltd" source="keywords">Reliance Industries Ltd</keyword> (RIL) on Tuesday became the first Indian company to achieve a market capitalisation of Rs 20 lakh crore. Shares of the Mukesh Ambani-promoted conglomerate also touched their 52-week highs during the intra-day trade amid firm sentiments in the broader market. The scrip of <keyword id="19896380" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="reliance-industries" source="keywords">Reliance Industries</keyword> jumped 1.88 per cent to its record high of Rs 2,957.80 apiece before closing at Rs 2,928.95 per scrip, up 0.90 per cent, on BSE. The market valuation of the company surged to Rs 20,01,279.72 crore during the intra-day session and at close, the market capitalisation stood at Rs 19,81,635.72 crore. On the NSE, shares of Reliance Industries rose nearly 1.89 per cent to reach a record high of Rs 2,958 apiece -- also its 52-week high level. Later, the blue-chip stock ended 0.74 per cent higher at Rs 2,926.20 apiece. In the past two weeks, the market value of the oil-to-telecom conglomerate's stock has gone up by nearly Rs 1 lakh crore. RIL becomes first Indian company to touch ₹20 lakh crore marketcap

New Delhi, Private lender <keyword id="17820746" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="ICICI-Bank" source="Denny">ICICI Bank</keyword> on Monday said its board will meet on Thursday to consider a proposal to delist its subsidiary <keyword id="17814846" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="ICICI-Securities" source="Denny">ICICI Securities</keyword> from the <keyword id="17825874" type="General" weightage="80" keywordseo="stock-exchanges" source="Denny">stock exchanges</keyword>. Following the announcement, shares of ICICI Securities surged 15 per cent in intra-day to hit their 52-week high of Rs 650 apiece on the BSE. In a regulatory disclosure to the stock exchanges, the private sector lender said, "a meeting of the board of directors of ICICI Bank Ltd is scheduled to be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, to consider a proposal for delisting of equity shares of ICICI Securities Ltd, a listed subsidiary company of the bank, pursuant to a scheme of arrangement with the bank under ... Sebi (Delisting of Equity Shares) Regulations, 2021". Separately, ICICI Securities also announced its board of directors would meet on Thursday to consider the same. ICICI Securities, which is promoted by ICICI Bank, is the country's leading retail-led equity franchise, distributor of financial products, and investment bank. The company began its operation in May 1995 and continues to grow its operation through expanding its client base and providing different type of services. At 3.21 pm, shares of ICICI Securities were trading 10.68 per cent higher at Rs 624 on the BSE, while that of the parent company were quoting marginally higher at Rs 927.40 on the bourse.

Rate hikes will continue to impact global markets but not for long, irrespective of that, (the) mutual fund industry has performed well. There have been outflows from the retail schemes as people are encashing profits,” said NS Venkatesh, chief executive at AMFI in a statement. He cited the festive season as the reason for people taking out profits. The net assets under management (AUM) of the mutual fund industry stood at ₹40.37 lakh crore as on November 31, 2022. On the bright side, SIP (systematic investment plan) inflows in November were at an all-time high at ₹13,306 crore. In October, the inflows were ₹13,040 crore. In November, mutual funds deployed ₹1,700 crore into the market while foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought ₹34,900 crore in the Indian secondary market, said a report by Nuvama Institutional Equities (previously known as Edelweiss Institutional Equities).
