Honda struggles in the Indian car market with discontinuation of nine models in six years

An updated version of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Honda+Mobilio&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Honda Mobilio</a> MPV has been has been revealed in Indonesia and the car has been revealed with some considerable cosmetic changes. 
 The outside of the new car has slimmer headlamps, with LED daytime-running lights and comes with a lot of chrome across the grille and the front bumper, which has also been resigned to look angular with inserts for fog lamps. It is just a mid-cycle facelift so the changes are quite limited. The updates do make the 2017 <keyword id="1945208" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Honda-Mobilio">Honda Mobilio</keyword> look a lot more appealing. 
 The updated car comes with a new set of alloy wheels and the side profile appears to remain largely unchanged. The updated <keyword id="1945204" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Mobilio">Mobilio</keyword> also sports a rear windshield wiper and updated taillights. 
 
When it comes to the interiors, the cabin is also expected to receive some refreshed styling with a couple of new features. 
 It's still unclear whether <keyword id="20630" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Honda">Honda</keyword> will launch the <keyword id="4060786" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="mobilio-facelift">Mobilio facelift</keyword> in India or not. This is mainly considering the fact that the Mobilio is the least selling Honda car in India if you exclude the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Honda+CR-V&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Honda CR-V</a> or the <keyword id="25787" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Accord">Accord</keyword> Hybrid, both of which are import models.

"We are delighted to introduce the new Celebration Edition of Amaze and Mobilio to our customers to celebrate the upcoming festivities in the country," Honda Cars India, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Jnaneswar Sen said in a statement 
 
The company's endeavour is to provide element of freshness to our products which would excite customers, he added. 
 
The Celebration Edition of both the models would come with features reflecting the celebratory theme including exteriors with stylish body graphics, the company said. 
 
The interiors of the cars have also been enhanced with premium upholstery including designer seat covers and cushions, it added.

Honda Cars India launches Celebration edition of Amaze, Mobilio

On Thursday, Japanese car maker <keyword id="1381889" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Honda-Cars-India">Honda Cars India</keyword> announced a <keyword id="54643" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="recall">recall</keyword> of 64,428 units of diesel variants of Honda City manufactured from December 2013 to July 2015 and 25,782 units of diesel variants of Honda Mobilio manufactured from June 2014 to July 2015 to voluntary replace the Fuel Return Pipe of these vehicles. 
 
With this recall of Honda, the recalls in India have crossed 1.7 million units ever since the government came out with the voluntary recall scheme a few years back 
 There is a possibility that in some of these cars, the Fuel Return Pipe may come out, resulting in fuel leakage and leading to engine stoppage, <keyword id="6374147" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Honda-Cars">Honda Cars</keyword> India said in a statement. 
 
The Fuel Return Pipe and related parts will be replaced free of cost at HCIL dealerships across India from 19th December 2015 in a phased manner and the owners will be contacted individually. 
 
The customers alternatively can also check whether their car is covered under this campaign by submitting their 17 character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the special micro site which has been created on the company's website. 
 
This is Honda Cars India's fourth recall in 2015, taking the overall recall numbers to 3.3 lakh units. ' 
 
Apart from the current recall of over 90,000 units, The company had recalled 3879 units of CVT variant of Honda City to update CVT control software in October. There was a recall of 223,578 units to replace air bag inflators in September of 2015 in CR-V, Civic, City and Jazz and in May 2015 -- Honda Cars India had recalled 575 units of CRV and 10,805 units of Accord to replace air bag inflators.

Honda Cars India to recall 25,782 units of Mobilio diesel and 64,428 units of Honda City diesel

NEW DELHI: <keyword id="1381889" type="COMPANY" weightage="40" keywordseo="Honda-Cars-India">Honda Cars India</keyword> on Wednesday launched its new Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV), the Mobilio at a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The petrol car will cost Rs 6.49 lakh for the E variant; Rs 7.50 lakh for S variant and Rs 8.76 lakh for the V variant. 
 The diesel variants have been priced between Rs 7.89 lakh to Rs 10.86 lakh. The seven-seater MVP will take on the likes of Maruti <keyword id="6911" type="CITY" weightage="40" keywordseo="suzuki">Suzuki</keyword> Ertiga, <keyword id="292083" type="PERSON" weightage="40" keywordseo="Mahindra-Xylo">Mahindra Xylo</keyword>, Nissan Evalia and even the <keyword id="6374528" type="CITY" weightage="40" keywordseo="Toyota">Toyota</keyword> Innova. Its closest competitor, the Ertiga petrol starts at Rs. 5.8 lakh and goes up to to Rs. 7.3 lakh while Diesel starts at Rs. 7.22 lakh and goes up to Rs. 8.49 lakh. 
 <keyword id="20630" type="CITY" weightage="40" keywordseo="Honda">Honda</keyword> said that the name Mobilio has been coined from English words mobility and mobile. Honda Mobilio's deliveries will begin from today. 
 
The Honda Mobilio MPV is 4.4-metre long with a wheelbase of 2.6-metre and has a ground clearance of 185mm. While it looks similar to the Amaze sedan and Brio hatchback, it manages to be distinct with its stretched out proportions and non-boxy looks. The Mobilio looks the most distinct from the rear as all resemblance to the hatch and a sedan ends with a new set of tail lamps and plenty of curves. 
 
Moving to the interior - the Mobilio gets a two-tone colour scheme, which makes the cabin feel roomy. The seats are flexible with plenty of storage space, with a generous amount of cabin space and good amount of headroom. What is impressive is that even the third row seat gets adequate knee room and can be used for long drives. The interior of the Mobilio is similar to what we have on the Brio and Amaze. 
 
The entertainment system has been lifted from the new City, which also serves as a screen for the reversing camera on the top end variant of the car. The top end variant also gets faux wood fittings on the dash and the door, and faux leather seats. Base cargo are is at 223 L which can be enhanced to 512L in the third row fold configuration.

The Mobilio will be powered by the new 1.5-litre turbocharged Earth Dreams diesel engine that does duty on the Amaze and City churning out power of 100ps@3600 rpm and torque of 200 Nm@ 1750 rpm. The diesel engine continues to be noisy but Honda has done a better job in insulating the noise out in the Mobilio. 
 
The petrol variant gets the 1.5-litre i-VTEC unit producing a power of 119ps@6600 rpm and 145Nm of torque and is peppy and is the same that powers the City. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

Mobilio also gets a bolder and sportier looking sport version in the form of RS, which comes with dynamic front and rear bumpers, projector headlamps with LED position lamps. Alloy wheels, chrome grille, tailgate spoiler and chrome exterior door handles. The RS will be available for deliveries by September 2014. 
 
The Mobilio has been developed at Honda R&amp;D Asia Pacific Co. Ltd in Bangkok, Thailand. "Honda has vast experience in offering a variety of premium MPVs to customers globally. Drawing from this varied experience, Honda engineers have used the same technological know-how and design philosophy to develop the Mobilio," said Yoshiyuki Matsumoto, Managing Officer, Honda Motor Company. "The <keyword id="6356110" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="80" keywordseo="launch">launch</keyword> of Honda Mobilio follows the success of Honda Amaze and all-new City which has led to our growth of 83 percent in the previous financial year," said Hironori Kanayama, President and CEO, Honda Cars India Ltd. 
 
The Mobilio has been launched in Indonesia in January this year and has clocked 46,000 units in sales. Honda expects sales of Asia Pacific to be at 1.2 million by 2017 and HCIL is expected to contribute 25 percent or 300,000 units in sales by then. The Mobilio is being manufactured at the company's Greater Noida plant and has 90 percent localization. HCIL is also expanding its dealer network to 230 facilities in 150 cities by end of 2014-14, with 75 percent coming up in smaller towns and cities.

Honda Mobilio MPV Launched At A Starting Price Of Rs 6.49 Lakh

As the Financial year 2014 comes to a close, Japanese auto maker Honda has announced some key changes in the top management. As reported by The Economic Times, Katsushi Inoue will takeover as the <keyword id="665726" type="POSITION" weightage="80" keywordseo="President-CEO">president &amp; CEO</keyword> from April. 
 
The company said, "Inoue has been associated with Honda Motor Co for over 29 years and has served as General Manager in Marketing Planning office in Japan headquarters in his last assignment." 
 He has worked with Honda ventures in different markets across the globe including Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, the UK, Poland and <keyword id="87" type="COUNTRY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Germany">Germany</keyword>. 
 
As part of the reshuffling process, Hiroyuki Shimizu will be the new senior vice president &amp; director, marketing &amp; sales, in Honda Cars India (HCIL), the company's wholly-owned subsidiary. 
 Also, Yoshiyuki Matsumoto, managing officer, <keyword id="191593" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Honda-Motor-Co-">Honda Motor Co.</keyword>, who was the representative of development, purchasing and production in Asia and Oceania since April 2013 and was stationed in India, moves to Japan after completing his tenure, HCIL said in a statement. 
 
"He will take over as the chief operating officer of the Automobile Operation at Honda Motor Co. He is planned to be elevated to the position of director on the Board of Directors in Honda Motor Co with the title of Senior Managing Officer and Director after approval at the General Meeting of Shareholders of the company scheduled to be held in June 2015," according to the ET. 
 
Prior to Katsushi Inoue, Hironori Kanayama was the president &amp; CEO of Honda. During the three years of Kanayama's leadership in India, HCIL has witnessed rapid growth in its business. Honda Amaze, Honda Mobilio and 4th generation Honda City were launched in the Indian market during this period, which subsequently helped Honda to pull itself up and slash down it losses by more than 50%.

This man will lead Honda’s business in India

Wait for <keyword id="1381889" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Honda-Cars-India">Honda Cars India</keyword>’s third-generation premium hatchback is over as the carmaker is going to launch ‘<keyword id="8070" type="PERSON" weightage="80" keywordseo="Jazz">Jazz</keyword>’ in the country on July 8. 
 The hatchback will give competition to <keyword id="596" type="CITY" weightage="60" keywordseo="Hyundai">Hyundai</keyword> i20, which has been selling around 10,000 units a month. Jazz will come with both diesel and petrol engine options and carry the same 1.5 litre i-DTEC and 1.2 litre i-VTEC engines that come fitted in Honda Amaze. 
 
Economic Times reported that the carmaker had already started adjusting production schedule to accommodate the model. <a href="http://auto.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/passenger-vehicle/cars/honda-to-launch-new-jazz-in-india-on-july-8/47270265">ETAuto</a> had reported in December that the carmaker would bring back the Jazz in July. 
 
"Stockyard in Greater Noida having a capacity of 5,500 units is packed with Mobilio and Amaze as there is a slide in demand for these two models ... Some of these cars have also been shifted to Tapukara plant," a company source told ETAuto. The source added at least 7,000-8,000 units of the two car models were at both the plants. 
 
Senior Vice-President for Sales and Marketing at Honda Cars India, Jnaneswar Sen said that it was an exercise to create production capacity for the upcoming model Jazz and also compensate summer production shutdown coming up this month.

Save the date: Honda to launch ‘Jazz’ on July 8

On one hand where <keyword id="596" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Hyundai">Hyundai</keyword> is working to launch Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV), <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=honda">Honda</a> is also leaving no stone unturned to enter compact Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) segment. 
 
BS Seo, managing director and CEO, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=hyundai">Hyundai Motor India Ltd</a>, said that the company was working on an MPV, adding that MPV was the only vehicle that was missing in the firm’s line up. 
 Reportedly, the MPV will compete with the <keyword id="20630" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Honda">Honda</keyword> Mobilio, the Renault Lodgy and the Mahindra Xylo. 
 
As per Zigwheels.com, the company is also working on a smaller <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=SUV">SUV</a>. 
 Now, Honda is considering launching a compact <keyword id="45454" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="SUV">SUV</keyword> and is already studying it. 
 <keyword id="2942644" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Hiroyuki-Shimizu">Hiroyuki Shimizu</keyword>, director and senior vice president - marketing &amp; sales, said that Honda had no plans for new <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=car+launch">car launches</a> this year. 
 
"We are in an advanced stage of a study on the compact SUV space and based on the study's outcome will take a call. The compact SUV is a growing market," Honda Cars India AVP Marketing Anita Sharma has said. 
 
Hyundai recently launched SUV Creta, while Honda has launched the improved Jazz.

Hyundai, Honda making rigorous pitches to capture Indian market

After Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki have succeeded in marketing the facelift version of i20 and Swift respectively, it is now turn for Honda to make the buzz. The Japanese carmaker has launched the third generation version Jazz priced between Rs 5.3 lakh and Rs 8.59 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). 
 
Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) president and CEO Katsushi Inoue have told the news agency PTI, "The all new Jazz will be a key pillar of business and would be instrumental in driving the growth for Honda Cars in India." 
 
The PTI news eport elaborates, Jazz marks the company's re-entry into the premium hatchback segment in the country. 
 
"Jazz has played a significant role in boosting our business globally and I am confident that it will replicate the same success in India," Asia Honda Motor Co president and director Noriaki Abe told the news agency. 
 
To keep the momentum going in the Indian market in the current fiscal by launching models in the "exciting segment", Abe added. 
 
Elaborating on the importance of Indian market, Abe said it is now the fourth largest market for Honda globally and contributed around 30 % of sales in the Asia and Oceanic region sales. 
Jazz is being manufactured at HCIL's Tapukara plant where it is investing Rs 380 crore to expand production capacity to 1.80 lakh units annually from 1.20 lakh units. 
 
The petrol variants, including the automatic version, sports 1.2 litre engine. The 1.5 litre diesel engine, which powers the Amaze, Mobilio and City, would also be used in the new Jazz. 
 
The petrol variants of the car are priced between Rs 5.3 lakh and Rs 7.29 lakh, while the diesel versions are priced between Rs 6.49 and Rs 8.59 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). 
 
Automatic variants of the car are priced in the range Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 7.85 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Honda Jazz gets a facelift; is priced Rs 5.3 lakh onwards

After nine continuous months of slump, till April 2014, the <keyword id="110874" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Indian-car-industry">Indian car industry</keyword> is finally showing signs of improvement. In the last four months, <keyword id="47168" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Car-sales">car sales</keyword> have shown an upward trend--especially in August when top three car makers scored double digit growth over sales in the same month in last year (2013). If the momentum continues, it will help boost automobile industry and economic growth. Let’s explore key factors fuelling car industry’s growth. 
 
Sales numbers indicate turnaround, a slow one though 
 Car sales in India grew by 15.16% in August, 2014 as compared to sales in the same period last year. As per the data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (<keyword id="108827" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="SIAM">SIAM</keyword>), a total of 1, 53, 758 units were sold in the domestic market in August; the number was 1,33,513 units last year. 
 <keyword id="6365618" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Maruti-Suzuki-India">Maruti Suzuki India</keyword>, <keyword id="596" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hyundai">Hyundai</keyword> and Honda Motor are the top three car manufacturers in India. All three recorded a double digit growth in August 2014 as against August 2013. Maruti Suzuki had maximum domestic monthly sales i.e. 82, 823 units, which is up by 30% against the sales for same period last year. Car models that contributed the most to Maruti’s growth include Swift, Dzire, Celerio and Ertiga. 
 
The second biggest car manufacturer, Hyundai Motor India, sold 33,593 units in August 2014, registering a growth of 19% over the sales in same month last year. Honda Cars India’s growth rate for August 2014 was 27% as compared to the sales registered in the same period last year. 
 
These numbers surely hint at Indian automobile industry turnaround, albeit at a slower pace. Mr. Vishnu Mathur, SIAM Director General validates the same: “The auto industry is seeing a gradual increase and even the cumulative numbers are seeing improvements month-on-month. We can see a slow turnaround happening." 
 
Economic recovery and consumer sentiment 
 
There are some initial signs of economic recovery and those seem to be driving the growth in the car industry. The economic growth for the April-June 2014 quarter has been 5.7% as compared to 4.6% for the same period, last year. This economic growth rate is the highest in the last two and a half years period. The industry experts and analysts also feel the same; they cite slight improvement in the economy and a new government as the key factors bringing a positive shift in the consumer sentiment and driving car sales. 
 
New models pushed sales 
 
It’s the range of newly launched cars that won consumer’s heart, which includes Hyundai Xcent, Hyundai Elite i20, Hyundai i10 Grand, new Honda City, Honda Amaze, Honda Mobilio, among others. They have been lapped up well by the consumers and have also played an important role in driving the overall car sales. 
 
Heading for an annual surge 
 
The industry body, SIAM, indicates that this positive trend in sales growth is expected to continue in the next couple of months with the onset of the festival season and more new launches lined up. 
 
Experts are saying that riding high on the positive consumer sentiments and increasing sales growth, car sales are expected to be better during the festive season, which is usually the time when Indian consumers make their key purchase s the period is considered auspicious. This may further push up manufacturers’ the annual sales revenues. 
 
Industry research agencies are indicating a possible 12% growth in annual sales in the car segment for the fiscal, only if the growth trend continues. This can be a big leap for India’s automobile industry after two years of slump.

While most car companies, including market leaders like Maruti, <keyword id="596" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hyundai">Hyundai</keyword>, <keyword id="20630" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Honda">Honda</keyword>, M&amp;M and others, saw sales growth in July compared to the year-ago period, month-on-month, the curve is actually negative. 
 
Take Maruti, which saw its sales grow 20% in July with 101,380 units. Compared to the June tally of 112,773, however, it's month-on-month sales graph is down 10%. Excluding exports, Maruti clocked 90,093 units in July down from 100,964 units in June. Similarly Hyundai saw a 12.7% growth in domestic sales at 29,260 units this July but compared to its June 2014 tally of 33514 units, it's down 12.7%. Even Honda, which has been in top-gear form thanks to the success of its new City and Amaze sedans, showed a month-on-month dip. It clocked 15,709 units in July, up 40% year-on-year. But compared to the June tally of 16306 units, sales are down nearly 4%. Overall, the passenger vehicles industry clocked 212,904 units in June compared to an estimated 215,000 units (the entire industry data is yet to be released) in July. 
 
Automobile experts say there are several reasons for the M-o-M dip. For one, June brought the first quarter in the fiscal to a close hence vehicle manufacturers would have billed wholesale volumes aggressively to show better Q1 numbers. That would explain the spurt only in June volumes compared to both May and July. Said Pravin Shah, M&amp;M's CEO-automotive division and international operations: "June is a quarter end which means big discounts which push up volumes. Also, at that point people were hopeful there would be no monsoon deficit so sentiments were betterBesides many companies took their annual shutdown in July." 
 
There are other reasons for the June-July skew. Said Sumit Bali, executive VP, Kotak Mahindra Bank: "June numbers peaked because at that point everyone thought the excise cut would run out end of the month. The announcement about the benefits running on till year-end came in the last week of June." 
 
Critically though auto experts say the current demand growth is driving on new models alone. "The companies that are doing well are the ones with successful new products," said Bali. That roster includes the likes of Maruti, Hyundai and Honda, all of which have successful new debutantes. 
 
Despite that, there have also been production snags that have showed up in the wholesale numbers, as with Honda. Said Jnaneshwar Sen, senior VP-marketing and sales, Honda: "Partly, this is because of low base effect compared to last year. But in our case, it's due to capacity constraint. Our effective capacity is 15,000 units a month and we can stretch it or not depending on the number of working days and export demand. We are currently operating above capacity we had to cut down on the Brio and Amaze production to make way for the Mobilio. That's why we moved the City production to our new plant in Alwar. We will resume City production early September," he added.

Expected to appeal to the below 30 crowd, many design elements of the Ciaz are expected to fit into the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Suzuki+Vitara+Brezza">Brezza</a> after a cost cut. 
 
The car is expected to be offered in 1.2-litre K-Series and 1.4-litre K-Series engine options for Petrol. For Diesel, the 1.3-litre Multijet Diesel is a possibility. This is Maruti’s first attempt to topple <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Ford+EcoSport">Ford EcoSport</a> in the compact SUV segment. 
 
Honda BR-V 
 
Honda would of course not want to be left behind in the segment. The company’s <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Compact+SUV">Compact SUV</a>, the BR-V shares the Brio platform with Amaze and Mobilio. 
 
This one is expected to be powered by 1.5-litre i-VTEC Petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC Diesel engines. Yeah, it’s the same fitted in the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Honda+City">Honda City</a>. 
 
The car's wheel arches, front grill and sport design suggest Honda’s watching the sub-four meter segment closely. 
 
It is slated for an early 2016 launch.

Top Compact SUVs to watch out in 2016

After e-tailers and rental car sector, major car manufacturers including <keyword id="44883" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Maruti-Suzuki">Maruti Suzuki</keyword> India, <keyword id="596" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Hyundai">Hyundai</keyword> Motor and <keyword id="42747" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Tata-Motors">Tata Motors</keyword> are offering various schemes this festival season, including discounts of up to Rs 37,000 to push up sales. 

	Market leader Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) is offering cash discounts, ranging from Rs 5,000 on its hatchback Celerio to Rs 35,000 on entry level Alto800. 
 

	Besides, the carmaker is giving discounts on other models including Wagon R, Stingray and Dzire but no such offers are on recent launches like Ciaz. 
 

	"Customers are already responding very positively to our current sales promotion schemes and booking is seeing an uptrend. For the forthcoming festive season the excitement has begun," MSI Executive Director (M&amp;S), RS Kalsi told PTI. 
 

	The company has already introduced six festive and limited editions like Alto 800 Onam edition, WagonR Avance, Swift Glory, Alto K10 Urbano, he added. 
 

	"Many more festive models are in pipeline including automatic and SHVS (Hybrid). And of course, we will soon bring the premium hatchback Baleno to the Indian customers. Bookings for Baleno are due to open next week, after we share the information about the car," Kalsi said. 
 

	Rival Hyundai Motor is offering the maximum discount of Rs 37,000 on its entry level model Eon, followed by i10 and Grand i10 (Rs 27,000 each). 
 

	The carmaker is also offering discount of up to Rs 28,000 on compact sedan Xcent and Rs 15,000 off on mid-size sedan Verna. There are no discounts on high selling models i20 and recently launched compact sports utility vehicle Creta. 
 <keyword id="4581" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="general-motors">General Motors</keyword> is offering exchange bonus of Rs 20,000 on Beat and Rs 30,000 exchange bonus on Cruze. It is further giving off on other models like Sail (hatchback and sedan), multi-purpose vehicle Enjoy and Tavera. "This is a great time to purchase <keyword id="55200" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Chevrolet">Chevrolet</keyword> cars, as customers will get the best value for their money along with complete piece of mind giving them a truly satisfying ownership experience," General Motors India, President and Managing Director, Arvind Saxena said. Japanese car maker <keyword id="46283" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Nissan">Nissan</keyword> is also offering discounts adding up to Rs 25,000 on Datsun GO+ for orders booked in the month of October. It is also giving benefit worth Rs 22,000 on Datsun Go. 

	"We are celebrating this festive season by offering special benefits to our customers and an attractively priced Datsun line-up for the Indian customers," Nissan Motor India, Managing Director Arun Malhotra said. 
 

	Another Japanese carmaker Honda is also offering benefits of up to Rs 47,000 on its compact sedan Amaze and multi- purpose vehicle Mobilio. 
 

	In addition, Tata Motors is introducing a special festive season offer under which customers buying Tata cars between October 1 and November 15, stand a chance to win a minimum cash back of Rs 2,000 going up to Rs 50,000. 
 

	The auto major is also looking to launch celebration editions of various models including Bolt, GenX Nano range and Safari Storme, beginning October 13. This range will be on sale till November 15, 2015. 
 

	The company would also introduce Indigo model with special celebration kit and Zest celebration edition as part of the scheme.
