Premium <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=textiles">textiles</a> maker <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Himatsingka+Seide">Himatsingka Seide</a> Ltd. bucked a weak overall trend in late afternoon trade on Monday after the company announced a fresh expansion to meet rising global demand. 
 <keyword id="471009" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Himatsingka-Seide">Himatsingka Seide</keyword> said it would invest more than 1,280 crore rupees over 3 years to boost its capacity at its unit in Hassan, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Karnataka">Karnataka</a>. The company will double its sheeting and spinning capacity and add new capacity for terry towels. 
 
Himatsingka Seide rose 1.1 percent, or 2 rupees, to 183.95 rupees on the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=National+Stock+Exchange">National Stock Exchange</a>. The company has seen its market capitalisation jump 107 percent in the past one year to 1,810 crore rupees as investors sought the safety of predictable revenue and profit streams in a company with international brands. 
 
Himatsingka is trading 2.1 times its book value of 85 rupees. Its sales have grown 14.8 percent compounded over 5 years and profit is up 22 percent over the same period.

But that may not be all the reasons. Digging deeper into the data, an expert concluded that only 40% of the stocks have regained the levels they were at before the budget-day sell-off. This, despite the fact that the coronavirus epidemic has led to fears of fall in demand for crude oil that has, in turn, brough forecasts for Brent Crude down to as low as $47 a barrel.  The Monday crack on Dalal Street (home to the Bombay Stock Exchange) would have been obvious to those watching the futures and options data. “The open interest (OI) activity all the while, when Nifty was rising, did not seem to have agreed with the argument of everything is fine, unlike the price action,” Shubham Agarwal, CEO &amp; Head of Research at Quantsapp Private Limited, <a href="https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/technicals/nifty-unlikely-to-run-away-from-here-deploy-bear-put-spread-to-hedge-positions-4922981.html" data-type="tilCustomLink" target="_blank">wrote in moneycontrol.com</a>. What is open interest? The number of contracts outstanding in futures and options trading on an official exchange at any one time. These contracts can be ‘long’ (where the trader is betting the stock/index will rise in the days to come) or they be ‘short’ (where the trader is positioned for a fall in the stock or index). For instance, today (Feb 10) at 11:42 pm, the price of Nifty 12,000 Put had nearly doubled since last close with a rise in open interest. This would indicate that more people had bet on Nifty falling to that level and it did. The Nifty was trading at 12,007, down three-fourths of a percent for the day. This concentration on Nifty 12,000 Put also means that the index may bounce back from that level. However, Agarwal ruled out a runaway rally. There are others who agree. “Nifty50 has decisively broken the trendline and the correction seems to be deepening. A simple explanation of what happened in the cash market post noon today!

Major indices came under selling pressure at the start of play on Wednesday as traders refrained from long positions on the back of weak overseas cues. Energy and pharma stocks were in a mild uptrend in initial deals. 
 The <keyword id="6354813" type="COMPANY" weightage="100" keywordseo="nifty">Nifty</keyword> fell 13 points to 8,453 in early deals on the NSE. The Advance-Decline Ratio slipped to 18/32 with Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints, NMDC, Tata Steel and Hindalco taking the top five losers' slots on the Index while Sun Pharma, BPCL, Cipla, HCL Tech and ACC occupying the top gainers list. Tata Elxsi remained the top traded stock on the NSE for the second day with 261 crore rupees worth of shares changing hands. 
 
State Bank of India and Dr. Reddy's remained in demand as well. 
 
Broader indices slipped in trade. The CNX 100, CNX 200 and CNX 500 and CNX Nifty Junior Indexes showed minor downticks. The CNX Small Cap and the CNX Mid Cap Indexes were marginally higher. The Bank Nifty fell 38 points to 18,757 as well as the CNX PSU Bank Index which shed 0.3 percent in trade. CNX IT, CNX Energy and CNX Pharma indices were up on Wednesday. 
 And on the Bombay Stock Exchange, the <keyword id="6484188" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sensex">Sensex</keyword> traded flat at 27,818 in the first 20 minutes of trade. As a consequence, the Advance-Decline Ratio stood at 12/18. M&amp;M, Coal India, HDFC Bank and NTPC shed weight on the Sensex while Sun Pharma, Cipla and Lupin were gainers on the Sensex, where Dr. Reddy's was the top traded counter. 
 
The Futures and Options market had a tepid kick off in Wednesday's trade with an Advance-Decline ratio of 71/90. JP Associates, JP Power and Sun Pharma were the top gainers on the derivatives markets while Amtek Auto, Bharti Airtel and Hind Zinc making it on the losers. list. 
 
The broader market was in fine shape in early deals. The Advance-Decline Ratio stood at 887 shares that gained versus 598 shares that fell. 
 
Geometric Ltd. TCI Finance, Banco Products and Nitin Spinners were on the top volume buzzers list, while Himatsingka Seide,Rajesh Exports and Glenmark Pharma struck fresh record highs on the NSE.
