In troubles for Hero Motocorp chairman Pawan Munjal, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday carried out searches at his residence and several other locations. According to ED sources, the agency sleuths carried out searches at the premises of Munjal and 10 others. The source said that the financial probe agency action was based on the complaint by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) case against Munjal. The DRI team had found foreign currency from Munjal's premises, the source claimed. However, the officials of the ED remained tight-lipped on the case and searches against Hero Moto Corp chairman. san

Hero Motocorp stock slumps after ED searches at Pawan Munjal's residence

The country's largest two-wheeler maker <keyword id="6357252" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Hero-MotoCorp">Hero MotoCorp</keyword> on Tuesday launched BS-VI compliant version of its entry level 100 cc bike, HF Deluxe with price starting at Rs 55,925. The HF Deluxe BS-VI will be available at Rs 55,925 for self-start alloy-wheel variant and Rs 57,250 for self-start alloy i3S variant (prices ex-showroom Delhi) from the beginning of January 2020, the company said in a statement. The launch of HF Deluxe BS-VI follows the recent launch of the company's first-ever BS-VI product, Splendor iSmart.
 "With these products coming in quick succession, Hero MotoCorp is rapidly ramping-up its portfolio of BS-VI products and plans to transform its entire range to BS-VI norms very soon," it said.
 Commenting on the launch, Hero MotoCorp Executive Director - Operations (Plants) and Chief Technology Officer Vikram Kasbekar said: "At Hero MotoCorp, we have been working towards ensuring a smooth transition to the BS-VI norms, not just for us but also for all our stakeholders, the industry and most importantly the customers."
 He further said, "We are into the final leg of this transition phase and key products in our portfolio like the HF Deluxe are being transitioned now to ensure smooth ramp-up."
 Stating that the company's BS-IV inventories are low and will not be replenished going forward, Kasbekar added, "We will be introducing a slew of BS-VI products in the coming weeks."
 Hero MotoCorp Head - Global Product Planning Malo Le Masson said HF Deluxe has already entered the two-million sales club and commands well over two-third market share in the category.
 "With the new HF Deluxe BS-VI, powered by programmed FI (fuel injection) technology, we have further enhanced the performance and efficiency of the motorcycle."

Hero MotoCorp launches HF Deluxe BS-VI starting at ₹55,925

Hero Motocorp shares gain after it logs ‘highest-ever’ sales in October

New Delhi, Feb 14 () Two-wheeler market leader Hero MotoCorp on Friday launched BS-VI compliant version of its popular Splendor+ motorcycle with price starting at Rs 59,600. The company also introduced BS-VI versions of its two scooter models -- Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 125 with price starting at Rs 64,310 and Rs 67,950 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi) respectively, Hero MotoCorp said in a statement. Commenting on the launch, Hero MotoCorp Head - Global Product Planning Malo Le Masson said, "With Splendor+ BS-VI, the updated Destini 125 BS-VI and Maestro Edge 125 BS-VI, we have migrated almost our entire portfolio shift to BS-VI norms, well ahead of the deadline." The booking window, which opened on July 4, has now been closed, and the new booking window will be announced soon, the company said in a statement. "It is heartening to see the confidence shown by the customers in Hero MotoCorp's foray into this segment. What is even more heartening is that the majority of our bookings are coming from the top end model, clearly indicating that customers are willing to pay a higher price for the right brand and right model," Hero MotoCorp CEO Niranjan Gupta said. This is just the beginning of the company's journey to win in the premium segment, he added. "More Iconic launches will follow soon, as we ensure our presence across the portfolio," Gupta noted. The company had posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 810.8 crore in the same period a year ago, Hero MotoCorp said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 9,616.68 crore as against Rs 8,434.28 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, it added. Hero MotoCorp said it sold 13.92 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters in <keyword id="20028449" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Q4" source="keywords">Q4</keyword> FY24 as against 12.70 lakh units in Q4 FY23. Total expenses were higher at Rs 8,427.36 crore in the fourth quarter as compared to Rs 7,508.94 crore in the same period a year ago. For the fiscal ended March 31, 2024, consolidated profit after tax was at Rs 3,742.16 crore as compared to Rs 2,799.9 crore in the previous fiscal. Consolidated revenue from operations for FY24 stood at Rs 37,788.62 crore as compared to Rs 34,158.38 crore in FY23, it added. Hero MotoCorp said it sold 56.21 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters in FY24 as compared to 53.29 lakh units in FY23. "During the year, our focus on product launches, network upgrades and customer satisfaction drove us to new heights. From the highest number of product launches to the expansion of new format retail outlets and upgrade at super speed, to a digital-first approach in premium, we set the building blocks in place for accelerated growth in future," Hero MotoCorp Chief Executive Officer Niranjan Gupta said. On the outlook, he said, "Moving forward, we expect the macroeconomic factors to aid the industry's growth. With commodity prices remaining stable, expectations of normal monsoons, and government spending expected to increase, we see multiple tailwinds for the sector over the upcoming quarters." Gupta further said the company will be driving market share gains on the back of launches in the premium and 125 cc segment done in FY 24. The company's board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 40 per share on the face value of Rs 2 per equity share subject to approval of the shareholders at the ensuing annual general meeting, the filing added. "This dividend together with an interim and special dividend, marking the centennial year of Chairman Emeritus Dr Brijmohan Lall Munjal of Rs.100 per equity share, takes the aggregate total dividend for the year 2023-24 to Rs 140 per equity share," the company said. Hero MotoCorp Q4 PAT up 16.7% at ₹943.46 crore

New Delhi, Feb 6 () The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Thursday reported a 17.07 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 905.13 crore for the quarter ended on December 31, 2019. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 772.81 crore for the corresponding period of previous fiscal, Hero MotoCorp said in a filing to the BSE. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 7,074.86 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 7,937.33 crore for the same period year ago. The company also announced an interim dividend of 3,250 per cent amounting to Rs 65 per share, Hero MotoCorp said. "The two-wheeler industry continues to face challenges amidst an overall economic slowdown. Early indicators, such as a positive Rabi crop, augur well for the rural economy, which in turn is likely to help the industry," Hero MotoCorp CFO Niranjan Gupta said. The company expects to see positive turnaround in the second half of 2020-21, he added. During the third quarter of 2019-20, Hero MotoCorp launched India's first BS-VI motorcycle Splendor iSmart and then followed it with first BS-VI motorcycle in the entry segment- the HF-Deluxe, the company said. The company is geared-up to transition its entire product range to the new emission norms well before the regulatory deadline and plans to stop all BS-IV production by mid- February, Hero MotoCorp said. New Delhi, May 21 () The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Thursday said state-owned LIC has increased its stake in the company to 7.146 per cent through acquisition of shares from the open market over a period of time. Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) acquired 40,16,255 shares amounting to 2.011 per cent stake in the company between June 21, 2017 and May 19, 2020, Hero MotoCorp said in a regulatory filing. Before the acquisition, LIC held 1,02,57,040 shares of Hero MotoCorp totalling 5.135 per cent stake, it added. Hero MotoCorp announces price hike for motorcycles and scooters from July 1

New Delhi, Feb 27 () Two-wheeler market leader Hero MotoCorp on Thursday launched BS-VI compliant version of its popular motorcycle model Super Splendor with price starting at Rs 67,300 (ex-showroom Delhi). Super Splendor BS-VI is powered by an all-new 125cc engine with programmed fuel injection delivering power of 10.73 BHP, which is 19 per cent more than the previous version. It comes in two variants -- self start, drum brake with alloy wheel priced at Rs 67,300 and self start, disc brake with alloy wheel priced at Rs 70,800 (ex-showroom Delhi), Hero MotoCorp said in a statement. Commenting on the launch, Hero MotoCorp Head - Global Product Planning Malo Le Masson said, "The Super Splendor has remained one of the most popular motorcycles in India and we are sure this trend will get further strengthened with the new Super Splendor BS-VI." The motorcycle has been revamped to give it a distinct identity and make it more capable than ever, he added. "With this launch, almost our entire portfolio has now migrated to the new emission regime," Masson said. The company has already stopped production of all BS-IV products and is now manufacturing only BS-VI products, Hero MotoCorp said. The launch of Super Splendor BS-VI follows the recent launches of BS-VI compliant versions of Xtreme 160R, Passion Pro BS-VI and Glamour. The company had earlier introduced a series of BS-VI two-wheelers -- Splendor iSmart, Splendor+, HF Deluxe, Pleasure+ 110, Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 125. RKL RVK
