The overriding technology powering this solution is Haptik’s advanced conversational commerce capabilities and CASHe’s AI-powered bot. The Whatsapp chatbot matches the user’s inputs and automatically facilitates a formal application, along with a Know-Your-Customer (KYC) check. Once verified, it sets up a credit line in a few clicks through a guided conversational flow. The user’s details are generated and displayed based on the name entered – the only key input that the borrower needs to enter is at the start of the conversation. “Haptik is pleased to be partnering with CASHe, India’s leading financial wellness platform, with the aim of helping borrowers get access to loans and credit seamlessly and in under a minute. Since going live with our WhatsApp bot, CASHe has witnessed over 50,000 credit line issuances, more than ₹25 crore in loan disbursals, and more,” said Swapan Rajdev, co-founder and CTO, Haptik. However, this is not the first time that an Indian company is offering loans via Whatsapp. <a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/how-to/need-a-loan-just-say-hi-on-whatsapp-and-get-rs-10-lakh-instantly-heres-how-to-apply/articleshow/86961211.cms?from=mdr">Last year</a> IIFL Finance, a non-banking financial company, offered an instant loan disbursement of ₹10 lakh on WhatsApp, where users could access it by typing ‘Hi’ in a chat box, in five minutes. Jio Haptik and CASHe, however, claim to provide revolving loans on WhatsApp within a minute. Revolving loans provide more flexibility with drawdowns and repayments as opposed to traditional loans. “With this solution on offer, we have successfully pivoted our credit model to adapt to the shifts in the lending space by offering instant sachet loans to existing and prospective borrowers through an engaging and conversational flow. An impressive 37% of orders received from this platform are from new customers who had not shopped on JioMart before,” Reliance said. Haptik-the chat based personal assistant just got an upgraded version -5.0. the new version has several new and improved features like bot library, smart wallet and faster response time to the artificial intelligence-powered <keyword id="2178497" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Haptik-app">Haptik app</keyword> 
 The smart-wallet will let users to complete commercial transactions with a single tap without having to leave the chat interface and the new version also features an expanded partner ecosystem of over 25 category-leading brands across segments like Uber, Zomato, BookMyShow, <keyword id="984795" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="goibibo">Goibibo</keyword>, <keyword id="132652" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Cleartrip">Cleartrip</keyword> and <keyword id="2811049" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="UrbanClap">UrbanClap</keyword>. 
 
The new version app also has a 'Genius Mode' that allows personalisation of services and offerings. 
 
The feature curates and recommends services and offerings based on users' transaction history on the app and can be turned off by users. 
 The average response time too has been reduced to less than 20 seconds, claims <keyword id="4380499" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Haptik">Haptik</keyword>.

Haptik will also try to make use of Times Internet’s reach of over 150 million engaged users, so that the service can be offered to a wider audience. 
 
Using Haptik, users can get their daily tasks done by chatting with assistants, which can ease tasks like online shopping, travel bookings, food delivery, restaurant reservations, and best mobile plan recharges.

1. What led you to join <keyword id="4380499" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Haptik">Haptik</keyword>'s Board of Directors? 
Haptik is a very unique company. Up until now, internet has been about finding and buying things. But, the consumer has to do all the work themselves. Haptik, fundamentally changes the game. Rather than the consumer using the internet to find things, Haptik DOES the things that the consumer wants to get done. This changes everything. Today the consumer “googles it”. Tomorrow the consumer will “Haptik it”. 
 
2. What are the challenges in technological innovation India is facing? 
None. That is a thing of the past. Now we have thousands of young entrepreneurs in India who are creating innovations every day. 
 
3. What can the government do to ensure the ‘<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Digital+India">Digital India</a>’ campaign succeeds? Government should stay out of it. Millions of people in India have cell phones and it has nothing to do with the government. And the more phones people buy, the more <keyword id="1929810" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Digital-India">digital India</keyword> will be. 
 
4. More than 60% Indians have no access to the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Internet">Internet</a>. How can the government ensure internet is easily available? 
Government should stay out of it. Governments in most countries including India slow down things. Let the private sector deal with it. 
 
5. What are the advantages and disadvantages of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=cloud+computing">cloud computing</a>? There are only advantages of <keyword id="211041" type="TECHNOLOGY" weightage="100" keywordseo="cloud-technologies">cloud technologies</keyword>. The customer does not have to deal with the pain of deploying and maintaining software. All the disadvantages of the cloud technology are just bad perceptions. There is no real disadvantage of cloud. 
 
6. Do you see unique technological trends that Indian companies are driving? 
Indian companies are driving the innovation in mobile usage like no other country in the world. 
 
7. What can the Indian government do to encourage innovation in India? 
Once again, the government should stay out it. The innovation is already happening at a tremendous pace. In the first six months of this year over 380 startups were funded in India and the government had nothing to do with it. 
 
8. What can Indian tech companies do to ensure that the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=startup">startup</a> culture persists? 
The tech companies in India are fast approaching a bubble. And like all bubbles, this one will burst too. Only the companies that actually do something very useful will survive. So, the tech companies have to build a culture that will take the good with the bad. There is a real risk that, that the whole culture crashes since the Indian tech boom has not been through a real bust. 
 
9. How can the government solve bureaucratic hurdles for budding startups? 
I do not know how to answer this. May be you should ask the Prime Minister. 
 
10. Top leadership lessons you’ve learnt from your experience with startups. 
FAST. 
Focus: on solving one problem really well rather than trying to do many things 
Accountability: Hold yourself and your team accountable to clearly articulated objectives 
Speed: Move fast. Every day you lose, somebody else gains on you 
Team: Your most important asset is your people. Hire and retain the best talent

Ram Gupta : The government should stay out of the technology sector

Basically, employers and candidates swipe through each other’s profiles and ‘like’ them by swiping right. If both the employer and the candidate ‘like’ each other’s profiles, the app connects them over email. This way, only interested parties can pursue relevant data of the other. The app also let users get a unique look inside offices and apply to the inspiring companies that are now hiring. The idea is incredibly simple. 
 
Based out of a Tech Park in Navi Mumbai, the company founded by <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Nischal+Shetty&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Nischal Shetty</a> has over 500 thousand downloads till date. Funded by its own revenues, the company was first launched as a mobile resume builder which saw good traction from across the world. 
 
The platform currently has over 100 companies onboard like JustUnfollow, Webengage, Wingify, Helpshift, Flatchat, Zepo, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Haptik&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Haptik</a>, Grabhouse and so on. 
 
The app is completely free to use for both job seekers and companies. 
 The <keyword id="11018" type="COMPANY" weightage="40" keywordseo="Jobs">jobs</keyword> market has seen a lot of disruption after the likes of <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Naukri&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Naukri</a> and <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Monster&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Monster</a> made their presence felt. HackerRank and HackerEarth are working towards developing a talented pool of developers, the likes of SpringRole are working on referrals, and others like IIMJobs, MeraJob and AasaanJobs are nibbling away margins from the established job websites.

Who hasn’t daydreamed about having someone to do the errands we all hate but can’t avoid? It’s boring, tedious and a waste of time. Fintech unicorn CRED to acquire SaaS startup CreditVidya

Mukesh Ambani is looking to expand his <keyword id="1519722" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="retail-footprint">retail footprint</keyword> by acquiring several ecommerce players. This is being seen as a precursor to the ongoing battle with Amazon for India's hot ecommerce retail market. As per reports, Reliance could pay as much as $160 million for Zivame while the Urban Ladder deal could be pegged at about $30 million and Netmeds at $120 million. Milkbasket, a milk company, is also said to be one of the targets. Ambani has raised more than $20 billion by selling equity stake in Jio Platforms. RIL is also said to be in talks to acquire full or parts of <keyword id="44950" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Kishore-Biyani">Kishore Biyani</keyword>'s <keyword id="44949" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Future-group">Future Group</keyword>'s retail assets. Now, some see Jio as the next Alibaba, and some see it as India’s Tencent. Or is it both rolled into one? “Similar to Alibaba or Tencent which created tech-based ecosystems in China, we find RIL best positioned to create a similar ecosystem in India. ecosystem control — right from content to music to movies as well as having all the different apps within that ecosystem. Meanwhile, Arvind Singhal, managing director of Technopak, thinks it's foolish to compare Ambani’s plans to those of Tencent or Alibaba. “Many many years ago, people used to say Reliance will be the Walmart of India or the Amazon of India… no Reliance is Reliance, it deserves that credit. Their thinking is very far ahead in all sectors. In this case, Jio along with Retail is one complex piece of a puzzle,” he said. Tencent is a big player in gaming but Jio is still planning to get started with Akash Ambani’s announcement of Jio Console in the 2019 AGM of the company. While making big investments in technology, Ambani is also going big on <a href="https://www.businessinsider.in/business/news/mukesh-ambani-next-goal-seems-to-be-the-retail-king-of-india/articleshow/76953716.cms">physical retail</a>, where Tencent is not a player, though Alibaba is. Refining and petrochemicals continues to contribute over 60% to the consolidated revenue of RIL⁠. Yet, Ambani has already disclosed his plan to spin out Jio and list it as a separate company. And when that happens, the sheer expanse of the company’s interest areas and their individual potential may be benchmarked to the value of similar businesses under the Alibaba and Tencent banners. India may be a smaller market compared to China, where Alibaba and Tencent are major players, but that also leaves a huge growth potential on the table for Jio.
