The company has made its debut in the Indian smartphone market with the launch of the Crest lineup.<br /><br />The two new smartphones launched by the company support 4G and do not offer 5G support. The devices come with Repairability 1.0, allowing users to easily replace the battery, display, back panel and charging port.<br /><br /><h2>HMD Crest and Crest Max price in India</h2>The HMD Crest is priced at ₹14,499 for the single 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant and comes in Midnight Blue, Royal Pink and Lush Lilac colour options.<br /><br />On the other hand, the <keyword id="22543532" type="General" weightage="100" keywordseo="HMD-Crest-Max" source="Orion">HMD Crest Max</keyword> is priced at ₹16,499 for the single 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant. The device comes in Aqua Green, Deep Purple and Royal Pink colour options.<br /><br />Both smartphone will go on sale during the <keyword id="22545950" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Amazon-Great-Freedom-Festival-sale" source="keywords">Amazon Great Freedom Festival sale</keyword> in August.<br /><br /><h2>HMD Crest and Crest Max specifications</h2><br />The HMD Crest and Crest Max run on Android 14 out of the box and will offer two years of Android updates. The devices feature a 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.<br /><br />Both smartphones are powered by the Unisoc T760 chipset. While the Crest smartphone comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, the Crest Max features 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.<br /><br />Coming to the camera department, the Crest smartphone features a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera. On the front, the device sports a 50MP selfie camera.<br /><br />The HMD Crest Max features a triple camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. But the breakthroughs that occurred in the years following the iPhone's debut were almost just as impactful - the launch of the App Store in 2008, the emergence of larger-screened devices following <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/galaxy-fold-samsung-phone-designs-2019-2">Samsung's first Galaxy Note in 2011</a>, the rise of touchless voice controls with the launch of Siri in 2011 followed by the original Moto X in 2013, and the iPhone 5s' TouchID home button that made passcodes feel obsolete in 2012.</p><p>Yet it's become increasingly difficult - if not impossible - to pinpoint new smartphones that have made a similar impact. New models introduced by the industry's biggest players like Apple and Samsung have felt iterative more than revolutionary in recent years.</p><p>For example, the biggest differences between the top-of-the-line iPhone Xs Max launched by Apple in September compared to 2017's iPhone X are its bigger and sharper screen, improved water-resistance, more sophisticated processor and enhanced camera  - improvements that are appreciated but certainly don't fundamentally change how smartphones are used. The same can be said for Samsung's new <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/samsung-galaxy-s10-vs-galaxy-s10-plus-vs-galaxy-s10e-2019-2">Galaxy S10</a>, which offers a superior screen that the company claims offers more accurate color representation than its predecessor and a refreshed design along with a better camera. </p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>YouTube/UnboxTherapy</span></p><p class="caption">The Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup</p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>But if the news announced at this year's Mobile World Congress conference is any indication of the future, it looks like smartphones are about to change in a fundamental way. New unconventional phones launched under the Huawei, Energizer, and Nokia brands have made an appearance at the convention this week, boasting features and form factors that are at least exciting and refreshing if nothing else.</p><p>Huawei's new foldable phone, the <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/huawei-mate-x-folding-phone-first-look-2019-2">Mate X</a>, features a flexible wraparound display that makes the phone resemble creased paper when folded, while Avenir Telecom's Energizer P18K Pop <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/energizer-smartphone-huge-battery-power-max-k18-pop-2019-2">packs a massive 18,000 mAh battery</a> that gives it 50 days of battery life when in standby mode. HMD Global's <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/nokia-9-pureview-release-date-price-photos-and-specifications-2019-2">Nokia 9 PureView </a>smartphone has a staggering five cameras on its rear. Global smartphone sales stalled in the fourth quarter of 2018, up just 0.1% compared to the same quarter in 2017, according to <a href="https://www.gartner.com/en/newsroom/press-releases/2019-02-21-gartner-says-global-smartphone-sales-stalled-in-the-fourth-quart">Gartner</a>.  A team of analysts at UBS led by David Mulholland recently estimated that smartphone units will decline by 5% in 2019, citing a change in consumer buying patterns and lack of innovative features.</p><p>"We recognize new features always take time to gain attention in the minds of consumers, but if we look at some of the key new features in the last recent years like FaceID and artificial intelligence, they have been much slower at gaining interest in comparison with features like fingerprint sensors and dual-camera solutions," says a UBS note published on February 14. </p><p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>Shona Ghosh/Business Insider</span></p><p class="caption">The Nokia 9 PureView</p></div><p></p></div></div></p><p>That's not to say these new offbeat devices will play a role in boosting industry sales, and they may not be emblematic of the next major evolution of the smartphone. After all, the feature phones with retractable keyboards that dominated the early 2000s like the T-Mobile Sidekick don't look anything like the sleek rectangular touchscreen smartphones we use today. But the Sidekick and others set the stage for an era in which we use our phones for much more than just texting. These new foldable devices may similarly lay the foundation for whatever comes next. Smartphones are getting weird again, and it could be a sign that the industry is on the brink of another huge change

<p>They are downgrading the stock to "sector perform" and giving it a price target between $440 and $550 for the next twelve months.</p>
<p>They believe Apple has real long term problems.</p>
<p>The high-end market for smartphones and tablets are going to be saturated sooner than expected which will lead to poor growth for Apple. </p>
<p>They say that demand for "incremental" hardware improvements is "waning." Essentially, they don't believe people will continue to upgrade to a new <keyword id="6354606" type="COMPANY" weightage="60" keywordseo="iPhone">iPhone</keyword>. If the market for new<em> </em>iPhone buyers is already maxed-out, and the market for upgrading iPhones is weak, then Apple's iPhone business is going to struggle.</p>
<p>While the iPad should pick up the slack for Apple in terms of slowing iPhone growth, the truth is the iPad Mini, which is relatively inexpensive will hurt Apple's revenue and EPS growth.</p>
<p>There is nothing on the horizon that will provide a jolt of growth, either, they argue.</p>
<p>An Apple television isn't going to be a huge business like the iPhone. It will make less money and sell in smaller units.</p>
<p>A cheaper iPhone will create the same problems the cheaper iPad Mini creates — cannibalization of existing sales and profits.</p>
<p>Software and services revenue from products like iTunes and iCloud aren't going to be enough to accelerate the earnings of a company as big as Apple.</p>
<p>In short, Apple is an iPhone company. The days of the iPhone's mega growth are over and thus, Apple's fantastic stock run is too.</p>
