These are the top stocks that are buzzing the D-street today: IndiGo’s parent Interglobe Aviation shares rallied nearly 8% during the morning tarde <keyword id="678811" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Westbridge-Capital">Westbridge Capital</keyword>, a private equity firm bought 1.41% stake in India's largest domestic airline IndiGo for ₹559 crore through an open market transaction. Strides Pharma trading nearly 1% higher Strides Pharma promoters announced the acquisition of the 3.7% stake owned by Sequent Scientific. The acquisition of stake will be at ₹475 per share, and the transaction is expected to be completed in the next coming months. Ashok Leyland nose dived over 2% Hinduja Group flagship firm Ashok Leyland shares were trading nearly 2% lower after the company reported a consolidated net loss of ₹388.82 crore for the first quarter ended June 30. The company’s revenue from operations in April-June 2020 significantly declined to ₹1,486.04 crore as compared with ₹6,588.23 crore in the year-ago period. <keyword id="80296" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Eicher-Motors">Eicher Motors</keyword> trading more than a percent lower Eicher Motors is slated to report its first quarterly earnings today. Not only did that boost HCL Tech’s share price, but the optimism spilled over to other IT stocks as well. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for instance crossed the ₹ 900 lakh crore threshold to become the second most valuable company in India after Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries. <div type="Article" hostid="261" msid="78165311" title="HCL Tech enters the list of top 10 most valued companies in India" mstype="2" mssubtype="0"></div> The good times aren’t over for HCL Technologies and peers Analysts estimate that HCL Tech is likely to benefit further from the sharp rupee depreciation, the macro environment and the expanding margins. “Our higher bull case reflects a rebound in infrastructure services improving organic growth rates substantially, driving upside risk to our estimates,” said Morgan Stanley in its report date September 18. The rupee depreciation is just a boon for HCL Tech but for IT services peers as well since they are export oriented and their earnings are in dollars. The weaker the rupee, the more valuable their billings become. With the rupee depreciating, company margins get to reap the benefits. More employees working from home also bolters margins with commute and reimbursement costs muted. This is not only for HCL Tech but for IT peers as well. “Favourable currency movement including rupee depreciation versus the US dollar,” is also an upside risk for TCS and Infosys. The only obstacle that may get in the way for HCL Tech is that outcome on revenue guidance is lower than the run rate required, according to Morgan Stanley. “Weakish commentary on deal wins in the coming quarters, which could indicate an inflection point in infrastructure services growth,” the report said. It, along with Motilal OswalOswals, added that a key vertical to watch will be engineering and R&amp;D services since pure plays by other companies — like Cyient and LTTS — have not had the best outcome. Last quarter, HCL Technologies announced that 50% of its employees will continue to work from home even after the lockdown. Investors will be on the lookout for any updates for management commentary around making any permanent changes to the operating model.
