New Delhi [India], May 23 (ANI): Once notorious for oversupply and all-round market disarray, Delhi-NCR's real estate sector is witnessing a reversal of winds as the unsold inventory in the region has declined by a massive 57 per cent in the last five years, the latest report by real estate consultant Anarock Group observed. The report added the unsold real stock in the national capital region declined from approx. 2 lakh units at Q1 2018-end to approx. 86,420 units by Q1 2024-end. In the same period, the main southern cities saw their unsold stock decline from approx. 1.96 lakh units in Q1 2018 to over 1.76 lakh units in Q1 2024. Gurgaon holds the highest stock with approximately 33,326 units, marking a 37 per cent decrease. Greater Noida follows with about 18,668 units, having reduced its stock by 70 per cent. Ghaziabad's inventory declined dramatically by 70 per cent to around 11,011 units. Noida saw a 71 per cent decrease, with approximately 7,451 unsold units remaining. Combined, Delhi, Faridabad, and Bhiwadi have about 15,964 unsold units, a 31 per cent reduction since 2018, as per the report. It further observes the top Southern markets Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai saw their collective unsold stock shrink by 11 per cent in this period. MMR and Pune in the West saw their cumulative unsold stock reduced by 8 per cent. In the East, Kolkata saw its unsold inventory decline by an impressive 41 per cent in the period. Citing the reason behind the low decline of unsold inventory, the real estate consultant added that there have been massive new property launches in Hyderabad, most notably over the last two years. The city saw its housing stock almost quadrupled in the last 5 years. Bengaluru saw unsold inventory decline by 50 per cent in this period. In the West, MMR and Pune saw unsold stock decline by 8 per cent in the last five years - from approx. 3.13 lakh units in Q1 2018 to approx. 2.90 lakh units in Q1 2024, the report added.

In a regulatory filing, DLF announced "pre-formal launch sales of approximately Rs 7,200 crore for its latest luxury residential development, <keyword id="20105111" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="dlf-privana-south" source="keywords">DLF Privana South</keyword> in Gurugram." In March last year, DLF had sold 1,137 luxury apartments, priced Rs 7 crore and above, in its housing project in Gurugram for over Rs 8,000 crore within 3 days. Now, DLF has launched new project 'DLF Privana South' which is spread over 25 acre in Sectors 76 and 77, Gurugram. "This luxury residential offering by DLF was sold out within 72 hours, in its pre-launch phase," DLF said. The project will comprise 1,113 luxury residences across 7 towers, presenting 4 BHK apartments and penthouses. DLF Privana South will be part of a larger development, "DLF Privana" spread over 116 acre. Aakash Ohri, Joint Managing Director and Chief Business Officer, DLF Home Developers Ltd, said, "The swift pre-launch sellout serves as a testament to the increasing demand for high-rise luxury developments by DLF, delivering the highly aspirational DLF lifestyle." To discourage bulk bookings, each buyer was allotted only one unit, with about 25 per cent of the sales coming from Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and a booking amount of Rs 50 lakh. DLF has developed more than 158 real estate projects and developed an area in excess of 340 million square feet. DLF Group has 215 million square feet of development potential across residential and commercial segment. The group has an annuity portfolio of over 42 million square feet. DLF is primarily engaged in the business of development and sale of residential properties (Development Business) and the development and leasing of commercial and retail properties (Annuity Business).

New Delhi, Realty firm <keyword id="3606282" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="Signature-Global" source="Orion">Signature Global</keyword> on Thursday reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 7.18 crore for the first quarter of this fiscal year on higher expenses. Gurugram-based Signature Global had logged a net profit of Rs 32.78 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing. Total income also declined to Rs 178.9 crore in April-June 2023-24 from Rs 559.01 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. This is the first quarterly result announced by the company after getting listed on stock exchanges recently. Last month, Signature Global successfully launched its Initial Public Offer (IPO). The total size of the IPO was Rs 730 crore, with a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 603 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of Rs 127 crore. The public issue was subscribed 11.88 times.

In response to a discussion on the calling attention motion in the state Assembly here, Vij said the new variant Omicron is a matter of concern as the whole world is worrying about it along with the WHO. "We remember the officers and employees, including doctors and paramedical staff, who have died while rendering their services during Covid-19. A wall of Memory' has been built at the headquarters of the Health Department, which he himself has inaugurated. So far 28 people of the department have lost their lives," he said. The minister said the frontline workers, including the employees of police and Urban Local Bodies, want this type of wall of memory to be built. Vij said he had conducted a survey in which 30 per cent infected people were from outside Haryana in the second wave of pandemic. "But we did work to save their lives by providing additional beds. The government built 500-bedded hospitals in Panipat and Hisar." "During the second wave, 15,000 infected people were coming on the daily basis. Due to success in vaccination in the country it is expected that the third wave may not come, but still we are identifying those hospitals which can be utilised in any situation." The Health Minister said he passed an order to impose a fine of Rs 500 for not wearing the mask. Haryana to deny entry to restaurants, malls if not fully vaccinated

<ul><li>Private ambulances in Gurgaon are on strike amid the surging cases of COVID-19 due an ongoing tussle with the government over prices.</li><li>Haryana’s Regional Transport Authority (RTA) imposed a limit on the amount private ambulances could charge to transport a COVID-19 patient after complaints of exorbitant prices.</li><li>According to the Private Ambulance Association (PAA) the price that has been fixed by the government is not enough to run their services.</li></ul>Abhimanyu Mukherji has been trying to get an ambulance for his 77-year old father in Gurgaon since Wednesday morning, only to find out that private ambulances are on strike today. “Finally, after hours of searching for a hospital we got a bed only to realise we have no way to get him there. We were sure to lose the bed,” he told Business Insider. According to him, ambulances that dare to operate in spite of the strike are being damaged by other operators. "I am the only attendant there [at home] and I cannot possibly administer the oxygen and drive the car at the same time,” Mukherji said, after he finally found someone with a bigger car to help drive his father to the hospital. Attendants of patients in critical conditions are ready to shell out the money required in order to avail the emergency service. The maintenance work on those ambulances, however, is outsourced. This means that the government is only buying the ambulances. It does not bear the burden of fuel costs or monthly installments, according to the PAA. Private ambulance operators not only have to pay monthly installments of around ₹55,000 to ₹60,000 per ambulance, but they also have to pay the drivers’ salaries and employ at least one attendant. They also have to pay doctors who are on-call. In the face of COVID-19, operation costs have surged even further since ambulances have to keep oxygen supply and personal protective equipment (PPE) topped up for every new COVID-19 patient. At times, they are also left waiting for several hours — with their ignition on to ensure the medical equipment is up and running — which adds to the operators’ cost, especially with fuel prices having increased this past year. According to the <a href="https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/gurgaon/pvt-ambulances-off-roads-to-protest-rate-cap/articleshow/82395054.cms">Times of India</a>, Gurgaon currently has nearly 500 ambulances, including government, private and ambulances attached to different hospitals. COVID-19 patients are the ones paying the price amid the tussle over rates between the government and ambulance operators in Gurgaon

The <keyword id="6357808" type="DEFINITION" weightage="20" keywordseo="enforcement-directorate">Enforcement Directorate</keyword> (ED) on Thursday said that it has arrested <keyword id="621863" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="Raj-Singh-Gehlot">Raj Singh Gehlot</keyword>, <keyword id="6394172" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="owner">owner</keyword> of <keyword id="45857" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Ambience-mall">Ambience Mall</keyword> in a bank fraud case. An ED official told <keyword id="105681" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="IANS">IANS</keyword> that Gehlot has been arrested from Haryana's Gurugram and will be produced before a court in Delhi later in the day. According to ED officials the bank loan fraud case is worth Rs 200 crore. According to financial probe agency sources, the ED has initiated a money laundering probe on the basis of an FIR registered by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jammu, against Aman Hospitality Private Limited and its directors for money laundering in the construction and development of the five-star Leela Ambience Convention Hotel situated in east Delhi's Yamuna Sports Complex. During investigation, it was revealed that a huge part of loan amount of more than Rs 800 crore, which was sanctioned by a consortium of banks for the hotel project, was siphoned off by AHPL and Gehlot and his associates through a web of companies owned or controlled by them, the ED source said. The source further said that a substantial part of the loan money was transferred by AHPL to several companies and individuals on the pretext of "payment of running bills and advance for supply of material/work executed". The source also said that the employees of Ambience Group and the associates of Gehlot were made directors/proprietors of these companies and he was the 'authorised signatory' in many of these companies. "However, no material was supplied and no work was executed and almost the entire amount was immediately routed back to the entities owned by <keyword id="11746607" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="raj-singh-sons">Raj Singh &amp; Sons</keyword> HUF and his brother's son. Money was further siphoned off through multiple layers by a complex web of group entities," the source added. The ED had raided several premises linked to Gehlot and several others on July 31 last year. Gehlot is also being probed by the CBI. The Punjab and Haryana High Court had directed the CBI to probe the case for the alleged illegal construction of a commercial building on approximately 18.98 acres of land in Gurugram by blatantly flouting the building by-laws and statutory provisions in collusion with others. It was alleged that the land where the Ambience Mall was built was meant for a housing project. The CBI has registered a case against a private person, Gehlot, Ambience Ltd and Ambience Developers and Infrastructure Pvt Ltd and unknown officials of <keyword id="6356420" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Huda">HUDA</keyword>, <keyword id="497256" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="Town-and-country-planning-department">Town and Country Planning Department</keyword> and unknown private persons on the orders of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The ED and CBI had carried out searches at several locations of Gehlot last year.
