Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have the maximum share of students opting for them. This trend can be attributed to the growing participation in live sessions and recorded lectures, thereby making it convenient for students to study from home. "‘Gradeup Classroom - Live Classes’ has been able to bridge several gaps pertaining to students’ exam preparation, with measurable outcomes; expert teachers, structured study plans &amp; instant student-teacher interaction. This has enhanced the overall learning experience with more interactive learning," Shobhit Bhatnagar, Co-Founder, Gradeup told Business Insider. Live classes enabled students to interact with co-learners and teachers along with instant resolution to queries. In fact, nearly 20% of the students are willing to shell out more money to benefit from online sessions. "This has had a significant impact on students in Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities. While they may have limited access to coaching centers or find that the fees are out of reach, with online live classes, they now have access to the best teachers and courses wherever they are," Bhatnagar added. For instance, Vedantu, an online tutoring platform is working on providing a personalised experience to its students with the help of Artificial Intelligence tools. Consumer behaviour, social media marketing, customer analytics, equity research, and logistics management courses are also being tried by Snapdeal shoppers. During the lockdown, Snapdeal has seen a significant increase in the orders for books for various competitive exams &amp; general academics. However, given the lockdown restrictions, delivery of these books has been slow. In view of this and looking at the growing demand for digital learning, Snapdeal has added multiple e-learning products on the platform. “Because of the disruption in the academic schedules at the school level and for those preparing for competitive exams, there is increased parental &amp; student-driven demand for supplementary learning solutions. The e-learning solutions offered on Snapdeal will enhance the overall learning experience of students in all parts of India by helping them study from the comfort of their home via digital technologies,” said Snapdeal spokesperson. The study material is available in eight languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, and Bengali to cater to the needs of diverse Indian audiences. However, as far as appraisals are concerned, Kumar said that the company is in a ‘wait and watch’ mode. “But all bonuses and variables are paid as per plan,” he added. The edtech companies attribute the rise in jobs to the increased demand for online learning. “Due to the increased demand for online learning, we are definitely ramping up our backend and technology and have plans to hire 1500 employees across all levels and with domain expertise in the field of technology, product, finance, strategy &amp; HR,” said Vamsi Krishna, CEO &amp; Co-founder of Vedantu. The platform says that its revenue grew by over 80% with the students spending an average of 18-20 minutes per live class daily. Gradeup also witnessed nearly 25% surge in daily enrollments, especially live classes for JEE &amp; NEET aspirants. “With Covid 19 and the lockdown due to increase in demand, our requirements in academic positions have specifically gone up. At the same time we are also scaling up on the sales team to cater to the demand of online classes which were provided by offline institutes in the past. For the next quarter, we will hire technology, product and sales professionals. We have been hiring 30-40 people for these categories since May,” Shobhit Bhatnagar, CEO and Founder of Gradeup told Business Insider. Edtech hirings at an all-time high — over 4,100 job openings in Unacademy, Vedantu, Simplilearn and more

Earlier, it had filed for an IPO with SEBI in August 2018.</li></ul>Sansera Engineering is most likely to open its IPO from September 14 and close on September 16. It is looking to raise between ₹1,000-1,500 crore through the initial public offering (IPO), said a source aware of the development. This is Sansera Engineering’s second attempt to go public. Earlier, it had filed for an IPO with the market regulator in August 2018. The investment, which will go towards bringing on board more educators and better the product, also saw the founders Gaurav Munjal and Roman Saini participate in the round. “In the last few months, we have taken bigger strides toward achieving this mission. We have more than 400 top educators from across the country taking live classes every day on Unacademy Plus. This is available to every student, irrespective of their location,” said Munjal. Unacademy plus is the startup’s subscription plan which has more than 50,000 learners. The startup, which was founded in 2015, has over 13 million learners. “We are seeing unprecedented growth and engagement from learners in smaller towns and cities, and are also very humbled to see that top-quality educators are choosing Unacademy as their primary platform to reach out to students,” said Munjal. This also shows the growth trajectory of Indian online education space. Hence it comes as no surprise that Indian youth is looking out for banking and government jobs instead of private jobs, shows a survey by Oliveboard, an online competitive exam preparation platform. According to the survey which analysed over 5,000 job aspirants, over one-third of them choose work-life balance over other considerations — including a good salary. Nearly 45% find stability and job security as key parameters while taking up a job. Almost 80% of them came from tier-2 and tier-3 cities. India is the largest public-sector test preparation market, valued at $3 billion. “When we speak of the aspirations of Indian youth, it is important to look beyond the mega-cities, teeming with MNCs and startups. The majority of India lives in small towns and villages, where public sector jobs are most sought-after.
