A Mumbai-bound <keyword id="62665" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="GoAir-flight">GoAir flight</keyword> carrying 150 passengers on board was diverted to Nagpur due to a <keyword id="417152" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="hoax-bomb-call">hoax bomb call</keyword>. 

	The flight, which took off from Bhubhaneswar at 0820 hours landed at Nagpur at 0929 hours safely, the airline said.
 "<keyword id="3217562" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="GoAir-flight-G8-243">GoAir flight G8 243</keyword> took off from Bhubaneshwar for Mumbai at 8.20 am and post receiving the bomb threat call, was diverted to Nagpur and landed at 9.29 am," GoAir said. 

	All the 150 passengers were deplaned immediately after the plane landed and the security agencies carried out a thorough search of the passengers, their baggage and the aircraft.
 

	"However, no bomb was found onboard the aircraft," GoAir said.
 

	The aircraft has been cleared for departure to Mumbai. The local police is investigating the matter, GoAir said.

An official with <keyword id="1442751" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="The-Directorate-General-of-Civil-Aviation">the Directorate General of Civil Aviation</keyword> (DGCA) said that the regulator is probing the incident and if the flight was meant to serve as a cargo-only flight. An airline spokesperson said: "GoAir flight G8 1305 from <keyword id="10445441" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="chennai-to-port-blair">Chennai to Port Blair</keyword> did an air turn back/diversion due to operational reasons and landed in Chennai with 160 passengers on board." The spokesperson further said that the airline has outmost care and rendered all the requisite assistance to the passengers. "The airline sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused to the passengers," the spokesperson added. Viral Patel, a passenger who was on onboard the flight, tweeted from his Twitter handle, '@patelv847',: "@goairlinesindia WHAT you did to us yesterday IS PATHETIC while going from Chennai to Port Blair." GoAir faces action for ferrying passengers on a cargo-only flight

Mumbai, Feb 18 () The engine of a Bengaluru-Ahmedabad GoAir flight caught a "small" fire at the time of takeoff, the airline said on Tuesday.The fire, however, has been doused and all passengers and crew are safe and the plane is being towed off the runway after which the passengers will be deplaned, GoAir said in a statement. The number of persons on board, however, could not be immediately known."The right engine of GoAir flight G8 802 from Ahmedabad to Bengaluru is suspected to have suffered from a foreign object damage (FOD) while on take-off roll. The suspected FOD resulted in a small fire which has been doused," the statement said.All passengers and crew are safe and no emergency evacuation was deemed necessary, it said.Safety of our passengers and crew is of paramount importance and the airline sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused to its passengers, GoAir said. In this regard, <keyword id="11252024" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="go-first" source="Orion">Go First</keyword> Airways said that due to the non-supply of engines by US-based Jet engines manufacturer, operations will remain cancelled. "Go First is facing financial crunch due to non-supply of engines by US-based jet engines manufacturer Pratt and Whitney (P&amp;W) that has forced grounding more than 50 planes," Go First official told ANI. On Tuesday, social media was flooded with complaints from passengers regarding the cancellation of their scheduled Go Air flights. The passengers complained to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and DGCA demanding their refunds on bookings. "My Go air ticket booking was cancelled without any reason. If flight G8 237 is operational on 03.05.2023 then there is no reason to cancel except to sell tickets at higher prices. Why only booking is cancelled when the flight is operational ?" a passenger asked. "A flight has been cancelled for tomorrow from Srinagar to Delhi. Go First airlines flights to remain cancelled on May 3, 4 amid financial crunch

<keyword id="6356167" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="GoAir">GoAir</keyword> passengers must be heaving a sigh of relief. A GoAir flight hit an aerobridge at <keyword id="63145" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="chennai-airport">Chennai airport</keyword> on Friday morning. As per a PTI report, the aerobridge hit the aircraft’s fuselage as the operator was allegedly on phone. 
	 “The flightno G8 305 with 168 passengers on board was hit by the aerobridge at 6.35 in the morning. The <keyword id="6354787" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="20" keywordseo="DGCA">DGCA</keyword> has ordered an inquiry into the issue," said a Senior DGCA official in the report. 
	 
	The flight supposed to fly to Port Blair from Chennai and the passengers were accommodated on other flights of the airline.

But by Tuesday, the 65-year-old was no longer a cosmopolitan boss but rather an international fugitive, having somehow slipped out of house arrest in Japan while awaiting trial for charges of financial misconduct and personal use of company assets. He has categorically denied all allegations since his first arrest in November 2018.Theories of how Ghosn apparently hoodwinked authorities swirled after he confirmed a safe arrival in Lebanon, which has no extradition treaty with Japan, making the continuation of his trial difficult, if not impossible. MTV, a Lebanese television channel, reported Ghosn may have hidden inside a musical-instrument carrying case brought by a band playing at his Tokyo home for a holiday party. The station did not cite any sources for the instrument-case escape theory.Other accounts said Ghosn, who held multiple international passports, may have evaded authorities by using forged papers and a false identity at a smaller under-the-radar airport. There, he worked his way up through plant-manager roles and research-leadership roles, eventually being tasked with repairing the company's South American operations and restructuring the North American division after an acquisition, according to a <a href="https://time.com/vault/issue/2003-05-19/page/66/">2003 Time magazine profile</a>.His reputation eventually landed him a job as CEO of Renault when the French automaker was privatized in 1996."Within two years, Renault had recovered with record profits," researchers at Coventry University's center for Sustainable Regeneration, <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20130903080634/http://www2.cddc.vt.edu/digitalfordism/fordism_materials/Donnelly.pdf">wrote</a> in 2004. Among other corporate amenities Japanese prosecutors likely think Ghosn misused for personal gain include an €8,000-per-month apartment in Amsterdam leased exclusively for the executive. <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-12-10/ghosn-s-homes-spanned-the-globe-now-nissan-is-seizing-the-keys">Bloomberg reported in 2018 </a>Nissan also leased properties in Brazil, France, Beirut, and Tokyo.By 2016, the alliance was so successful that it easily acquired a 34% stake in Mitsubishi after the automaker was hit by several scandals.<h2>Alliance 2022</h2>Nine million vehicles. Four common platforms. After a 3 1/2 month stay in a Japanese jail - with limited access to the outside world, 30 minutes of exercise daily, and only two baths a week - Ghosn and his legal team worked out a bail deal with prosecutors.The $9 million bail conditions stipulated that Ghosn's legal team retain his three passports, and prosecutors also requested he have minimal contact with his wife for fear the duo could plot to tamper with evidence and witnesses or escape.Even Ghosn's lawyer Junichiro Hironaka is unsure how he pulled it off, he <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2019/12/31/business/carlos-ghosn.html?action=click&amp;module=RelatedLinks&amp;pgtype=Article">told reporters</a>."It would have been difficult for him to do this without the assistance of some large organization," Hironaka said, according a New York Times report. "I want to ask him, 'How could he do this to us?'" That's anyone's guess. </h2>In a brief statement on Monday, while most Japanese government and business offices were closed for New Year's, Ghosn said he was fleeing persecution and what he called a "rigged" justice system."I am now in Lebanon and will no longer be held hostage by a rigged Japanese justice system where guilt is presumed, discrimination is rampant, and basic human rights are denied, in flagrant disregard of Japan's legal obligations under international law and treaties it is bound to uphold," Ghosn <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2019/12/30/business/carlos-ghosn-left-japan.html">said through a spokesperson</a>."I have not fled justice - I have escaped injustice and political persecution," the statement said.
