An official release from the state government said the expanded facility will have employment generation potential of more than 500 numbers of qualified, skilled and semi-skilled workforce to be recruited, mostly from nearby places. The company established their biopharmaceutical facility in February last year at Genome Valley with an investment of ₹300 crore to manufacture vaccines, biologicals, biosimilar, antibodies and others. The expanded site is envisaged to meet the national and international regulations to be followed in the manufacturing of the biological products as applicable and shall be built under the GMP guidelines applicable for the respective product lines, it said. Gland Pharma to invest ₹400 Cr to expand its Telangana plant

Gland Pharma’s grey market premium rises ahead of listing today

<ul><li>The speciality chemical manufacturing company is looking to raise ₹500 crore through the public issue of shares.</li><li>The bidding process for the IPO will start on July 16 and close on July 20.</li><li>Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem manufactures a range of products in specialty chemicals that serves various industries including the automotive, petroleum, pharmaceutical, agro chemicals and so on.</li></ul>The Gujarat-based speciality chemical company, Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem is set to launch its initial public offering (IPO) with a price band of ₹1,073-1,083 and raise ₹500 crore through the public issue. The bidding process for the IPO will start on July 16 and close on July 20. The IPO lot size is 13 shares. The IPO will include ₹225 crore of fresh equity shares by the company and ₹275 crore of offer for sale (OFS) by promoters and shareholders. The company will utilise the proceeds from the IPO towards expansion of its Dahej manufacturing unit and for upgradation of research and development (R&amp;D) facility in Vadodara. It manufactures a range of products in specialty chemicals category and serves industries like automotive, petroleum, pharmaceutical, agro chemicals, paints and coatings, dyes and pigments, personal care and flavour and fragrances industries. The company receives 70% of the revenue from exports to over 25 countries including the USA, China, Germany, Japan, South Africa, and the UK, whereas the rest 30% comes from domestic markets. Its clients include SRF, Asian Paints, Laurus Laboratories, Bayer, Merck and Divis Laboratories. The speciality chemical company manufactures a diverse portfolio of structure directing agents (SDAs), phase transfer catalysts (PTCs), electrolyte salts for super capacitor batteries and pharmaceutical and agrochemical intermediates and other specialty chemicals (PASC). This is the second speciality chemical company to go for an IPO in July after Clean Science and Technology. At 10:07 a.m., on July 29, shares of Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem were trading at ₹2,331, up 115%. The grey market premium of the stock had indicated a 105-110% premium with stock price at Rs 1,140-1,150 per share over the issue price. The company was looking to raise ₹500 crore through the public issue of shares. Gujarat-based speciality chemical manufacturer was a hit among investors during the bidding days, especially from non-institutional investors and qualified institutional buyers. The issue size was subscribed 182.04 times on the third and final day of the issue on July 20. The initial public offering (IPO) was subscribed much more than that of the recent speciality chemical company Clean Science and Technology IPO which was 95 times. In fact, most analysts had suggested subscribing to the IPO for the long term on strong growth opportunities in global markets. The IPO was open for subscription from July 16 to July 20.
