The <keyword id="6355174" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Ford">Ford</keyword> <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=EcoSport&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">EcoSport</a> Platinum Edition, packed with new features and cosmetic enhancements, has been launched in India. The petrol trim is priced at Rs 10.39 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi) and the diesel version costs Rs 10.69 lakh. 
 
This is not the facelifted version of the EcoSport that was unveiled in <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Brasil&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Brasil</a> recently. This is the existing model on sale in India, but gets a black roof and new funkier alloy wheels. Customers will get Apollo Alnac 4G 205/50 R17 tyres instead of the 16-inch wheels on the other regular variants. 
 
There are some new additions in the cabin of the car as well. The most evident change comes in the form of an 8-inch touch screen system, which sits in place of the earlier small display on top of the dashboard. This system offers audio and video playback, satellite navigation and comes paired to the rear view camera. Then there is the addition of cruise control, which is not available in any of the other variants. 
 
The EcoSport Platinum Edition is offered in both petrol and diesel variants. However, it is available only in the manual variants and 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine and 1.5-litre TDCi diesel motor configurations. 
 
Many existing Ford EcoSport customers wished for a touch screen system and cruise control. The carmaker will now offer prospective buyers these features along with a unique look over the standard compact SUV.

<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Ford+India&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Ford India</a> has introduced a ‘Black Edition’ of its <keyword id="504693" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="40" keywordseo="compact-SUV">compact SUV</keyword>, the <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Ford+EcoSport&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Ford EcoSport</a>. It will be available in three variants - Trend+, Titanium &amp; Titanium+ and has been priced between Rs. 8.58-9.93 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). 
 
The car will offer three variants, a 1.5 TiVCT petrol engine with manual and automatic transmission, a 1.5 TDCi diesel engine and the much touted 1.0 EcoBoost engine. 
 
“The ‘Black Edition’ accentuates <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Ford+EcoSport&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">EcoSport</a>’s bold design, giving the compact SUV an even more striking look and a substantial road presence,” said Anurag Mehrotra, executive director Marketing, Sales &amp; Service at <keyword id="106216" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Ford-India">Ford India</keyword>. 
 
The new variant will offer all-black exteriors that have a black grille, black-out moulded headlamps, 16-inch black alloy wheels, black mirror covers, and black fog lamp bezel, black roof rails &amp; roof cross bars. It will also offer up to six airbags for safety and SYNC with AppLink, Ford’s in-car connectivity system that allows drivers to stay connected.

In April this year, the Brezza sold 7,832 units against EcoSport's 3,779 and TUV’s 1,900. The EcoSport’s success story is known to all and the Endeavour is mark of brilliance in the SUV contingent. Now, Ford has launched the 2014 edition of <keyword id="67915" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="100" keywordseo="Ford-Fiesta">Ford Fiesta</keyword> in India, which is nothing short of a rocket. We test drove the TDCi Titanium version of this new car. The new Ford Fiesta has a lot of new features to sport and we just couldn’t get enough of them. 
 
Design and features 
The 2014 model of Ford Fiesta has gone under the designer’s knife to become rugged and meaner. The front grille and raised bonnet gives it a spectacular look. The car looks very sporty from the front and screams ‘look at me’. We experienced it first as most youngsters turned around to see this neat little car on road. Ogling eyes did not stop with just the younger generation, the mid-aged loved it too. 
 
Subtle changes on the side and rear of the car can also be seen, nevertheless the rear does look quite similar to the previous edition. Ford has given a large boot in the new Fiesta, 430 litres of it. This is great for a quick weekend getaway or lugging large objects. 15-inch alloy wheels give this car a neater look and add to the show. 
 
Moving to the interiors of the Ford Fiesta 2014, the cabin is very similar to the previous edition and the Ford EcoSport. The central console is the same as the EcoSport and one can see the same level of detailing here that is found in the bigger brother. The centre console is something some might like and some might not, for us it does work. Apart from the large array of buttons on the central console, the steering has mounted controls to manage volume, calls and more as well. 
 Ford has introduced the <keyword id="10387" type="CITY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Microsoft">Microsoft</keyword> Sync feature along with Emergency 108 service in this car too. You can connect your cell phone to the car and if the car is met with an accident, the smart computer within the Ford Fiesta will call for an ambulance, giving them your exact location (no matter where you are in India). 
 
Keyless entry and push button start are also the part of Titanium version of Ford Fiesta. Seems like ford has built this car to spoil the drivers. As far as safety is concerned, dual front airbags along with anti-lock brakes and collapsible steering column are part of the package. Rear sensors are also on board to help you park safely. Rain sensing wipers also make an appearance in this variant. 
 
The seats are extra comfortable in this low ride. The front ones hug you nicely and there is good thigh support. However, there is slightly less room for the rear passengers. 
 
Performance 
Press the clutch, push the ignition start button and you are ready zoom off. Literally zoom off. This car is built for performance the 1.5 litre TDCi diesel engine in the Ford Fiesta 2014 is nothing short of a rocket. The 5 speed manual shift gear box is great and the car steers like a dream. The power steering system works truly well and you can manoeuvre this car with extreme ease. The car handles like a dream in tough city traffic and on the highways. 
 Ford Fiesta responds nicely to the slightest tap of the throttle. We were able to quickly shift gears and speed through. This was achieved due to the 91 PS power the diesel engine is capable of producing. Ford claims the new Fiesta will give fuel <keyword id="34412" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="80" keywordseo="economy">economy</keyword> of 25.01 KMPL, but one would not want to drive this car economically. 
 
Verdict 
Ford Fiesta gets a thumbs up in our books. The consumers get good looks, nice ICE system, superb power, decent safety and nice mileage, and oh did we mention great looks. Yes, Ford is asking for a shiny penny for this car. But it is definitely worth every penny spent. The ex-showroom price for Ford Fiesta Titanium is Rs 9,29,449.

Greater Noida, Feb 5 () South Korean auto maker Kia Motors on Wednesday launched its premium multi purpose vehicle Carnival, and showcased a new concept for a global SUV Sonet at the Auto Expo here. Carnival is being launched in India in three different specifications at a starting price of Rs 24.95 lakh for its Premium variant (ex-showroom), Rs 28.95 lakh for its Prestige variant (ex-showroom), and Rs 33.95 lakh for its Limousine variant (ex-showroom). Kia Sonet concept will be developed further ahead of a launch in the Indian market in the second half of 2020. Kia Motors India said it had received more than 1,400 bookings for the new car on the first day of orders and has a total of more than 3,500 bookings received till date. Kia had entered the Indian market with its SUV Seltos, which was displayed as SP Concept in the previous edition of the Auto Expo in 2018. Commenting on the India journey, Kia Motors India MD and CEO Kookhyun Shim said: "We have sought to understand Indian customers' aspirations, and match them with best-in-class products and services." He further said, "Our latest vehicle, Kia Carnival, is a clear example of this approach. Though it represents a leap up from the Seltos, into a premium, aspirational segment, it has been devised with the same passion." Shim further said, "As the Indian market evolves, we will continue to offer customers here the best and most innovative products and services." Kia Sonet concept is a compact SUV which will take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki's Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Ford Ecosport. Kia Motors said the vehicle will be launched in India in the second half of 2020. Carnival, on the other hand, looks to enter a segment dominated by Toyota's Innova Crystal. It is powered by a 2.2-liter VGT BS6 diesel engine, paired with an eight-speed "Sportsmatic" transmission.
