Hinduja brothers came in at the third position. Their networth has dropped from $19.5 billion in 2018 to $15.6 billion in 2019. This comes after a Credit Suisse report highlighted the inequality in wealth distribution in India. According to the 2018 report , 77.4% of India’s wealth is in the hands of 10% of its population.And, 1% of the richest of India control more than 51% of the country’s wealth. “While wealth has been rising in India, not everyone has shared in this growth. There is still considerable wealth poverty, reflected in the fact that 91% of the adult population has wealth below $10,000. At the other extreme, a small fraction of the population (0.6% of adults) has a net worth over $100,000,” said Credit Suisse. Billionaires lost more than $1 billion because of economic slowdown Most of the people on the list have lost fortune except for Ambani, Adani and Kotak. The net worth of half the listees shrank because of the current economic slowdown. As many as 14 people on the list lost more than $1 billion, reported Forbes. However, the total wealth held by all the 100 people, is still more than India’s per capita income. India's 100 wealthiest people together are worth $452 billion

In the inaugural list of top "promising young leaders and game changers" under the age of 30 in Asia from the prestigious <keyword id="6373044" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Forbes">Forbes</keyword> magazine, <keyword id="487" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Sania-Mirza">Sania Mirza</keyword>, <keyword id="6354486" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Virat-Kohli">Virat Kohli</keyword> and <keyword id="30618" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Saina-Nehwal">Saina Nehwal</keyword> are leading the pack of over 50 Indians. 
 
The Forbes '30 under 30 Asia' list includes 300 "young and driven entrepreneurs and game-changers" from countries including India, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Pakistan, Vietnam and Australia who are contributing to their industries in a significant way. 
 In this list, one would find 56 Indians, with Kohli, Mirza and Nehwal along with 26-year old Bollywood actress <keyword id="89958" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Shraddha-Kapoor">Shraddha Kapoor</keyword>. 
 
"At the top of India's crickculture is batting prince Kohli, who led India to clean sweep in their Twenty 20 series against Australia in January," Forbes said of Kohli. He was also named among India's highest earning celebrities in 2015, standing at USD 11.3 million. 
 
Talking of Mirza, Forbes said that she has been the "most successful female Indian tennis player ever" and one of the highest paid and highest profile athletes in the country. 
 
About Nehwal, Forbes described her as a "role model" and "Indian badminton queen". 
 
The list has a total of 10 categories, covering consumer technology, enterprise technology, arts, healthcare and science, media, social 
entrepreneurship, finance, industry and retail. 
 
Arunima Sinha, the first female and first Indian amputee to climb Mt Everest in 2013 and Chaitanya Tamhane, the writer and director of the critically acclaimed movie 'Court' also found place in the entertainment and sports category.

It's official: Salman Khan tops Forbes India's list of 100 Celebrities of 2016

Forbes magazine has placed India at the fourth place in its list of countries with the highest number of billionaires, and once again <keyword id="6355199" type="CITY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Reliance-Industries">Reliance Industries</keyword> chief <keyword id="3820" type="PERSON" weightage="100" keywordseo="Mukesh-Ambani">Mukesh Ambani</keyword> has been named the richest Indian. 
 
The list, called 'World's Billionaires' 2017, has 2,043 names in it, who have a combined net worth of $7.67 trillion. In comparison to last year, this figure is up by a record 18%. 
 
Microsoft co-founder <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/bill-gates-is-largely-optimistic-about-the-future-but-a-key-tenet-of-the-trump-administration-worries-him/articleshow/57635057.cms">Bill Gates</a> tops the list for the fourth year in a row, with a fortune of $86 billion. Last year, this figure stood at $75 billion. Berkshire Hathaway chief <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/its-all-mental-with-him-warren-buffetts-late-wife-revealed-why-it-took-the-billionaire-so-many-years-to-start-giving-away-his-fortune/articleshow/56902258.cms">Warren Buffet</a> stands second with a new worth of $75.6 billion. 
 
The third place in the list has been grabbed by Amazon's Jeff Bezos with $72.8 billion net worth.

India’s richest tech billionaires in 2024, as per Forbes

India has to do a lot to feature is at least top 10 of best countries for business. Owing to several challenges including monetary freedom and trade, India ranked at 97th out of 144 nations on the Best Countries of Business in 2015 list by Forbes. 
 
Denmark topped the list and India was behind Kazakhstan and Ghana, which were at 57 and 79, respectively. 
 
The US was at 22nd spot. 
 
Meanwhile, Forbes said while India is developing into an open-market economy, traces of its "past autarkic policies" remain. 
 
"The outlook for India's long-term growth is moderately positive due to a young population and corresponding low dependency ratio, healthy savings and investment rates, and increasing integration into the global economy,” stated Forbes, adding “However, India has many challenges that it has yet to fully address, including poverty, corruption, violence and discrimination against women and girls, an inefficient power generation and distribution system, ineffective enforcement of intellectual property rights, decades-long civil litigation dockets, inadequate transport and agricultural infrastructure, limited non-agricultural employment opportunities.” 
 
Forbes further said that growth in India last year fell to a decade low, as its economic leaders struggled to improve the country's wide fiscal and current account deficits. 
 
The country performed moderately well on certain factors, ranking eighth on investor protection, 41st on innovation, 57th on personal freedom and 61st on property rights.

And, 18 Indian organisations including Infosys, Wipro, HDFC and Tata Steel were featured in it. Yet only three Indian companies — Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Tata Motors — made it to the top 50. On a global front, Indian organisations have been faring well, as compared to the ranks last year. Technology giant Infosys has crawled up to the third rank from 31 in 2018, preceded by global payments giant Visa and carmaker Ferrari. India’s most valuable company TCS has been ranked 22. Addressing the positive growth of the company, Forbes labelled Infosys — which is the second largest software exporter in India — as ‘Asian invasion.’ Other companies in the top 10 include Netflix, PayPal, Microsoft, Walt Disney, Toyota Motor, Mastercard and Costco Wholesale. India, China and Japan cumulatively account for 82 companies in top 250 of the global list. US leads the race with 59 companies. Forbes, jointly with German statistics company Statistica surveyed over 15,000 respondents across 50 countries to assess the world’s largest public companies. The assessment was based on four parameters — social conduct, trustworthiness, product and services, and how they are as employers. Here are the ‘best regarded’ Indian companies, according to Forbes
