Supam Maheshwari, cofounder and CEO of mother and child care e-commerce platform <keyword id="19939174" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="FirstCry" source="keywords" meta.keywordsubtype="org" meta.entityname="FirstCry" meta.hostid="153" meta.entityid="FirstCry">FirstCry</keyword> has reportedly offloaded 6.2 million shares prior to filing for the company's initial public offer (<keyword id="19905471" type="TOPIC" weightage="20" keywordseo="IPO" source="TOPIC" meta.keywordsubtype="equity,investopedia" meta.msid="19357203" meta.seopath="i/ipo" meta.entityname="IPO" meta.hostid="153" meta.entityid="ipo">IPO</keyword>). According to a MoneyControl report, Maheshwari's offloaded shareholding would be over Rs 300 crore. <keyword id="1615917" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="firstcry" source="Orion">FirstCry</keyword> CEO has also listed himself as a selling shareholder in the public issue, according to the company's Draft Red-Herring Prospectus (<keyword id="131606" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="drhp" source="Orion">DRHP</keyword>). He had 7.46 per cent stake in the company but after filing the draft <keyword id="6354763" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="ipo" source="Orion">IPO</keyword> papers, his holding came down to 5.95 per cent stake. According to the DRHP, Maheshwari has offloaded 9.34 million shares during six months before the date of filing of the IPO papers. "At the price of Rs 487.44 apiece, this share transfer would be worth over Rs 455 crore," said the report. FirstCry was yet to respond to the report. Japanese investment giant <keyword id="19944037" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="softbank" source="keywords">SoftBank</keyword> has sold shares worth $310 million in FirstCry in two rounds, according to earlier reports. Late last month, FirstCry filed its DRHP with the market regulator SEBI, seeking to raise Rs 1,816 crore via fresh issue of shares. FirstCry's parent company BrainBees Solutions filed the DRHP which includes offer-for-sale (OFS) comprising 5.4 crore equity shares. FirstCry will use the IPO funds to set up modern retail stores and warehouses across the country. Meanwhile, the company reported Rs 5,632 crore revenue from operations in FY23, while its losses surged over six times to Rs 486 crore from Rs 79 crore in FY22.

PB Fintech has also received approval for IPO at the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on July 5. PB Fintech (formerly known as EtechAces Marketing and Consulting) was founded by Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi and Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad alumni Yashish Dahiya, Alok Bansal and Avaneesh Nirjar in 2008. PolicyBazaar, an online platform for users to purchase <keyword id="35504" type="PERSON" weightage="20" keywordseo="insurance-policies">insurance policies</keyword>, is one of the subsidiaries of PB Fintech. The sport of wrestling has not missed a medal at the Olympics since 2008 and Aman's effort ensured the streak remained unbroken. Sushil Kumar broke the glass ceiling by winning the bronze in Beijing (2008), and since then Yogeshwar Dutt (2012), Sakshi Malik (2016), Ravi Dahiya and Bajrang Punia (2021) have kept the tradition intact. Aman's effort also helped India win its sixth medal and move closer to the Tokyo Games tally of seven. Aman Sehrawat wins bronze, carries forward Chhatarsal's rich legacy

On Thursday, Aman had lost his semifinal bout against Japan's Rei Higuchi around 6:30 pm. There was no time to waste. He was given a massage and then the coaches asked the Chhtrasal trainee to do light jogging. It was followed by five 15-minute running sessions. By 4:30am, Aman was weighing 56.9kg -- 100g less. The coaches and the wrestler heaved a sigh of relief. In between these sessions, Aman was given lukewarm water with lemon and honey and a bit of coffee to drink. Aman would not sleep after that. "I watched videos of wrestling bouts, the whole night." "We kept checking his weight every hour. We didn't sleep the whole night, not even during the day," said coach Dahiya. "Weight cutting is routine, normal for us but there was tension, a lot of tension due to what happened the other day (with Vinesh). We could not let slip another medal," said Dahiya. All the hard work came to a fruition when Aman won the bronze medal, beating Puerto Rico's Darian Cruz on Friday to become India's youngest ever Olympic medallist. Electric two-wheeler sales cross the 1 lakh mark after four months, Ola Electric leads the market

Developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (<keyword id="19998946" type="General" weightage="20" keywordseo="NPCI" source="keywords">NPCI</keyword>), Unified Payment Interface (UPI) is an instant real-time payment system to facilitate inter-bank transactions through mobile phones. Addressing a press conference with his Maldivian counterpart Moosa Zameer after their "productive discussions", Jaishankar said that India, through its UPI, has "revolutionised digital transactions". Stressing that it has taken financial inclusion in India to new levels, he said "Today 40 per cent of the world's real-time digital payments take place in our country." "We see this revolution, every day in our lives. I am pleased to note that with the signing of the MoU today, we have taken the first step towards bringing this digital innovation to Maldives," he said. "I wish the very best to stakeholders on both sides and hope that we will soon see the first UPI transaction here. I should mention that it will have a very positive impact on tourism," he added. Tourism is the main source of economic activity for the Maldives, contributing nearly 30 per cent of the GDP and generating more than 60 per cent of foreign exchange. Jaishankar's visit aims to reset the bilateral relationship with the Maldives and is the first high-level trip from India after the archipelago nation's pro-China president, Mohamed Muizzu, assumed office last year. "India's partnership with the Maldives is based on our deep desire to work together for each other's welfare and interests. It is a partnership that has enabled us to always swiftly and effectively respond to challenges, as witnessed in the past," Jaishankar said. "It is a partnership that has enabled us to deliver results and bring tangible benefits to our people in accordance with their wishes, aspirations and priorities," he said. In a post on X, Jaishankar also said, "Jointly inaugurated six High Impact Projects in areas of street lighting, mental health, children speech therapy and special education." "Welcome renewal of MoU between National Centre for Good Governance and Civil Services Commission on (the) training of additional 1,000 civil services officers," he added. Addressing the joint press conference, Maldivian Foreign Minister Zameer said, "India has always been one of our closest friends and a vital development partner." He said the "enduring friendship" was built on a foundation of mutual trust and respect and has continued to flourish over the years. "High-level exchanges between our countries have deepened our dialogue and cooperation in areas of shared interest. We remain dedicated to strengthening and advancing this mutually beneficial partnership," he said. "Minister Dr Jaishankar and I agreed that much more needs to be done to promote trade and investment between the Maldives and India," he said, adding that both sides are committed to establishing "effective mechanisms to enhance economic cooperation, fostering a vibrant and prosperous partnership that will benefit both the nations." Zameer said he conveyed President Muizzu's proposal to begin negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement between the Maldives and India. "This agreement alongside other economic and trade-related agreements will facilitate trade liberalisation and ease the risks of doing business in both our countries," he said. Zameer said that India and Maldives have also mutually agreed to further strengthen their partnership by continuing joint exercises and expanding training opportunities for officers from both countries, asserting that this reflects "our commitment to working together to ensure the security of our nations as well as ensuring the safety and stability of the Indian Ocean region." India's relations with the Maldives suffered a major setback last year when President Muizzu demanded the withdrawal of Indian military personnel manning three aviation platforms in the Maldives. Subsequently, the Indian military personnel were replaced by civilians by May 10, the mutually agreed date. "On regional and multilateral issues of importance, our countries have a common understanding and are united in our efforts to resolve them. We agreed to continue our cooperation on issues ranging from combating terrorism, violent extremism, drugs, human trafficking and to the promotion and protection of human rights," Zameer said. In his press statement, Jaishankar said that India and the Maldives "are not just close neighbours, we are also natural partners." "Today, we are mutually invested in each other's development and progress. In a globalised and interconnected world, we see a lot of volatility and global tensions. Even as the world is recovering from the impact of the COVID pandemic, we have been confronted with new challenges arising from international conflicts," he said. In this tumultuous environment, India has been and will be, an anchor of stability for its friends, partners and neighbours. To the Maldives specifically, India has provided support to deal with economic challenges through financial assistance and budgetary support, and by ensuring an uninterrupted supply of critical items, he noted. India's actions have been and will continue to be guided by its firm commitment to the philosophy of 'Sabka Saath, Sabke Vikas - which is- Together, we prosper', Jaishankar said. India to introduce UPI payment service in Maldives

The transaction is funded through a combination of cash and units of Tower Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs) that will be issued to selling shareholders. InvITs is like a mutual fund, which enables direct investment of small amounts of money from which enables direct investment of money from individual and institutional investors in infrastructure. The acquisition is customary to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the second half of 2021. Ambit Private Limited acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the Shareholders. “With the onset of 5G and data consumption trends, seamless indoor connectivity becomes as essential as outdoor connectivity and this transaction will open new horizons for STIPL to lead this opportunity further. Through our ownership of units of <keyword id="8235303" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Tower-InvIT">Tower InvIT</keyword>, we look forward to participating in the next chapter of growth in the shared Telecom Infrastructure business,” Ankit Goel, co-founder and managing director of STIPL said. Space Teleinfra is a shared telecom infrastructure provider for voice and data connectivity. The company commenced its operation in 2016 focused on providing telecom infrastructure to the mobile network. The company claims to have a well-spread customer base across all the three significant mobile network operators (MNOs) with a pan-India presence. Tower Infrastructure Trust further expands the suite of passive telecommunication infrastructure services for its customers with this acquisition. The company aims to target macro towers to indoor solutions, which will support the acceleration of India's digital transformation.
