 It has further emboldened its belief by now investing in a tutor enablement platform, <keyword id="3951789" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="XPrep">XPrep</keyword>, under its global programme, FBStart. 
 <keyword id="3905190" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="FbStart-programme">FBStart programme</keyword> is helping early stage mobile startups in growing and expanding services. Xprep has received $40,000 worth of credits and services from Facebook and its partners like AWS, <keyword id="285445" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Dropbox">Dropbox</keyword>, Adobe and MailChimp. It has also earned access to a community of developers and mentorship from the Menlo Park-headquartered team of FB engineers. 
 Taking a cue from the hardships faced during their coaching days, IIT Roorkee alumnus <keyword id="3952423" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="mukul-rustagi">Mukul Rustagi</keyword> and NSIT alumnus Bhaswat Agarwal decided to start XPrep in September 2015. It was also one of the finalists of this year’s Unitus Seed Fund and Sylvant Advisors’ StartEdu programme. 
 
The platform is as of now trying to fill the gap within the tutor-parent community by establishing a continual and seamless engagement within the student-parent-tutor ecosystem. 
 
It is enabling parents to monitor their child’s progress during the course of tuition while helping tutors serve their batches efficiently and scale their business. XPrep equips its tutors with a mobile app to assist them in conducting their classroom and communicating with the parents in a transparent manner, all at their fingertips. The mobile app lets tutors perform daily tasks like sending out announcements, conducting their quizzes and notifying their classes using the app’s automation techniques. 
 
Mukul Rustagi, CEO, XPrep, says, “There lies a huge opportunity in supplementing the assistance based offline education system using online technologies. We have to provide the kids with the best of both worlds. Paying customers are a testimony to our product and we aim to build better going ahead. FBStart is going to help us achieve this goal faster. ” 
 
Mukul added that FBStart will help them bring down technology costs considerably. “This money can then be redirected to our marketing and team building activities which will, in turn, help us embark on a higher growth trajectory,” he said. 
 
XPrep has acquired a base of 100+ tutors and 6,000+ students across Delhi NCR and plans to expand to other cities soon. "Enabling tutors to increase their efficiencies, scale up their business and monetising the incremental delta of the customer experience while catering to the fulfilment feeling among the parents" - This is the vision that XPrep aims to achieve over the next few months.

 As part of <keyword id="2431804" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="fbSTART">FbStart</keyword>, JobSenz received nearly $40,000 as credits and administrations from <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Facebook&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Facebook</a> and its accomplices. Besides the funding, JobSenz will also be mentored by an engineering team.

The mobile application JobSenz was founded by Monish Karam an year back. The startup brings coaching centres and educators on a platform where they can sell their study material directly to students and professionals. 
 
The JobSenz app permits job seekers to hunt down and discover opportunities through its job search engine and get ready and download their resume utilizing a multi-lingual resume builder. 
 
"Not all coaching centers across India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh can have their own mobile app or web app to provide live coaching materials to their students. This creates a level playing field across all educators and coaching centers across these three countries, while also serving as a new revenue stream for them," Karam told ET. 
 
As per Karam, the startup's revenue model incorporates charging a percentage of all sales of premium educational content by coaching centers on its mobile platform. "Apart from advertising, we are focusing on job and resume service for additional revenue sources," Karam told ET. 
 Facebook, earlier this year reportedly, distributed over $21 million worth benefits to startup in India and about $ 50 million to startups in Asia. Its first accusation was also in India. It acquired Little Eye Labs which makes a software tool for analyzing the performance of <keyword id="6355645" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="android">Android</keyword> apps, for reportedly $10-$15 million in 2014.

When 19-year old <keyword id="2987833" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="Harsh-Songra">Harsh Songra</keyword> went to sleep last night, he had no idea what would happen in the next few hours. He had no idea that <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=that+Facebook+chief+operating+officer">Facebook chief operating officer</a> (COO) <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Sheryl+Sandberg+">Sheryl Sandberg</a> would publish a post about him and his startup <keyword id="3022261" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="100" keywordseo="My-Child-App">My Child App</keyword>. 
 On Wednesday, Songra was woken up at 2 a.m. by the frequent <keyword id="6354576" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Facebook">Facebook</keyword> notifications after Sandberg published a post, where she told the story of Songra and his app as an instance of startups being supported by <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Facebook+">Facebook</a> under its FBStart programme. 
 
The social networking site’s COO posted: "We're supporting developers like Harsh who have great ideas but can't always access the resources they need." 
 
My Child is an <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Android+app+">Android app</a> that tells parents if their child is likely to be suffering from a developmental disorder by processing basic inputs such as the child's height, weight and gender, in just 45 seconds. 
 
Why did Songra develop this app? There is a sad story behind it. It took his parents nine long years to get him diagnosed of having dyspraxia, a developmental disorder. 
 The late diagnosis meant that his parents could do nothing to help. But Songra's father, who was a <keyword id="281728" type="POSITION" weightage="60" keywordseo="hardware-engineer">hardware engineer</keyword>, taught him to use the computer at a young age and he used computer games to overcome the problems of coordination and movement that dyspraxia brings with it. 
 
When he was 16-year-old, Songra was experimenting with algorithms. His drive to do something that will guide parents like his and two years of research helped him build My Child all by himself. The app had seen downloads from across six continents. 
 
His app was launched in January this year. It was built with the help of Facebook's platform Parse and promoted with other tools such as Facebook ads, Hootsuite and Mailchimp. 
 
The Chairman of product council at <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Nasscom">Nasscom</a>, <keyword id="646706" type="PERSON" weightage="60" keywordseo="Ravi-Gururaj">Ravi Gururaj</keyword>, recently got on board as a mentor. 
 He expressed his excitement at Sandberg's post in a Facebook post. Songra, who is pursuing BCA in the <keyword id="916681" type="ORGANIZATION" weightage="60" keywordseo="Bhopal-School-of-Social-Sciences">Bhopal School of Social Sciences</keyword>, said, "Being an entrepreneur means that you lose out on a lot, including your friends. Facebook is making a huge push to take over the mobile app business from the ground up. Facebook owns a company called Parse, which provides backend services for app developers. Any company can use some or all of Parse's services and tools, which are stored in the cloud - so companies don't need to run their own servers to maintain their apps. They can just let Facebook and Parse do it.
A majority of Facebook's users now access the social network on mobile devices. CEO Mark Zuckerberg told F8 today that he basically sees mobile apps as the future of Facebook's business. (That's also why he's splitting off pieces of Facebook into separate apps, like Messenger for messages; and why he acquired Instagram and WhatsApp.)
In fact, Facebook has driven 350 million mobile app "installs" (or downloads) thus far.
The cost of creating an app has been falling for years. Back in the day, it would take millions of dollars in development costs and programmer salaries to create huge new apps. But today, a couple of college kids living in their parents' house can make the most popular apps on the planet in just a few weeks, for a few thousand dollars. That's exactly what happened at Snapchat - CEO Evan Spiegel and his team created the messaging app at his father's house on a summer break from college.
So $30,000 of free app creation and distribution services could - in theory - seed a wave of new app development, all using Facebook's platforms. The program positions Facebook as app developers' greatest friend. They have to qualify, of course, but the program is open to all developers regardless of which platform they're creating on (ie Apple's iOS or Google's Android).
