New Delhi, Jan 31 () Bharti Airtel on Friday said its name has now been removed from the denied entry list for non-fulfilment of export obligation under an export promotion scheme.
 "We are actively engaged with the authorities to complete the formalities and provide additional documents for closure of the remaining cases," the company said in a statement.
 The company said its has now been removed from the denied entry list, after it highlighted the relevant details and documents submitted to the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
 Earlier this week, the firm said it was working to get its name removed from the list, and added that DGFT's latest action does not limit its ability to undertake future imports or exports.
 The DGFT, which is under the Commerce Ministry, had put the company under the list, commonly known as blacklist, for non-fulfilment of export obligation in respect of certain Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) authorisation issued to it.
 Under the EPCG, an export promotion scheme, import of capital goods is allowed at zero customs duty. Capital goods imported at zero duty must fulfil EPCG export obligation equivalent to six times of duty saved, as per the scheme. MBI ANS

The email was then published on Ariadne's Wikipedia page, <a href="http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-03-14/how-a-venture-capitalist-s-bid-to-edit-wikipedia-page-backfired">along with a explanatory citation that contents of the email were "disputed"</a>, according to Bloomberg. Ariadne's lawsuit claims that this led to "further negative updates" on the website. Lansons has counter-argued that Ariadne Capital is "insufficiently appealing to the media" and that its CEO Julie Meyer had "a poor reputation in parts of the investment industry."The suit didn't specify the exact amount of damages, other than that it was over £100,000 ($141,745). Lansons is counter-suing for £76,oo0 ($94,969) of unpaid invoices. When asked by Bloomberg for comment, Meyer said that "to have an intern contact Wikipedia was not what we paid for."Both Ariadne Capital and Lansons were unavailable for comment when Business Insider reach out for comment. Wikipedia has an illustrious history of high-profile individuals and companies editing their own entries. The site even has a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conflict-of-interest_editing_on_Wikipedia">page dedicated to people accused of "conflict-of-interest" edits</a>, and it seems that just about anyone from presidential candidates to the Church of Scientology has been accused of the practice. New Delhi, Jan 29 () Bharti Airtel on Wednesday said it is working to get the company's name removed from 'Denied Entry List', but added that DGFT's latest action does not limit its ability to undertake future imports or exports.
 The comment by the telecom operator came after the Commerce Ministry put Bharti Airtel in denied entry list (DEL) for non-fulfilment of export obligation under an export promotion scheme. 
 The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), which is under the Commerce Ministry, has put the company under the list, commonly known as blacklist, for non-fulfilment of export obligation in respect of certain EPCG authorisation issued to it.
 In a regulatory filing on Wednesday, Airtel said, "The company is working towards an expeditious closure of this matter with the office of the DGFT and for getting the company's name removed from the DEL".
 "It must also be noted that the said action does not limit the ability of the company to undertake future imports or exports," Airtel added.
 Bharti Airtel said it has not applied for any such license since April 2018 as there was no operational need for the same.
 "The company has fulfilled all its export obligations under the past licenses and has applied for closure of these licenses along with necessary documents to the authorities in this regard," it added.

<ul class="summary-list"><li>Anastasia Amoroso explains how investors can position themselves for gains in 2023.</li><li>She said after a dramatic drop last year, many asset classes now offer lower entry points.</li></ul>2023 is set to be a story "story of two halves" after last year saw valuations for asset classes across the board tumble dramatically, according to Anastasia Amoroso, iCapital's chief investment strategist. The stunning plunge in asset prices, however, has created a promising entry point for investors, Amoroso told Insider. Markets moves will likely be muted in the coming months as the economy endures slowdown and the central bank brings the Federal Funds rate higher, she explained. "Any sort of rally will likely be capped by a Fed that's still trying to get to 5% and stay there," Amoroso told Insider, referring to the US central bank's interest rate increases intended to bring down inflation.The second half of this year, though, will be a key pivot point once the terminal rate is higher than core PCE inflation. That would give the Fed leeway to either hold rates steady or cut them by June, and importantly for markets, lay the groundwork for a new rally. "The times you want to invest," according to Amoroso, "is when economic data is falling apart, not surging."<h3>Lower entry points for investors</h3>The economy so far has absorbed the Fed's higher interest rates well, in Amoroso's view. But should the Fed pause midyear, that would give the economy more room to breathe and markets after last year's broad sell-off.And given iCapital's subdued outlook for the first half of 2023 and expectation for rebound later, Amoroso maintained that investors can capitalize now by adding to positions or entering new ones."Whether you look at equities, or the reset likely to occur in private market valuations and real estate, I would use the next 3-6 months to be deliberate and methodical about adding to those positions," Amoroso said.In stocks, she noted that early outperformers have included the semiconductor and consumer discretionary sectors, but also said alternative assets present a buying opportunity. "We like private credit because amid the pullback in public markets, the banks are not as eagerly lending to companies," Amoroso said. "So a lot of the attention turns to private credit managers, who can be a source of capital, and they're able to secure better terms for investors."Amoroso also said cryptocurrency offers plenty of innovation, but with that there's been a great deal of leverage and mishandling of funds. "The froth, the fraud, the exuberance will hopefully be worked out of the system, and what will come after that is regulation, which should give investors more confidence [in crypto]," Amoroso said. "What remains in the ecosystem will be companies that have viable solutions with viable cash flows."

12 cheap capital cities everyone wants to visit

New Delhi, Mar 6 () Tripura capital Agartala and West Bengal's Ghojadanga have been designated by the government as authorised land immigration check posts to enter or exit India.Both Agartala and Ghojadanga are located along the Indo-Bangladesh border.In a notification, the Home Ministry said senior immigration officers, under the Bureau of Immigration, have also been appointed for Agartala and Ghojadanga with effect from March 2."In pursuance of sub-rule (b) of rule 3 of the Passport (Entry into India) Rules, 1950, the central government hereby designates Agartala land check post of West Tripura district of Tripura state as an authorised land immigration check post for entry into/exit from India with valid travel documents for all classes of passengers," the home ministry said.A similar notification was also issued with regard to Ghojadanga land check post, located in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.  The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), which is under the ministry, has put the company under this list which is commonly known as back list for non-fulfilment of export obligation in respect of certain EPCG authorisation issued to them, they said.
 Airtel sources said, "Airtel has not taken any such licence since April 2018, as there is no operational requirement. In fact, the company has already applied for the closure of all past licences that were due and is awaiting approval from the authorities."
 An e-mail send to the company did not elicit any immediate response.
 Due to this, the company will not be able to avail any export benefit or licence from the DGFT. 
 The Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) is an export promotion scheme. Under this, import of capital goods are allowed at zero customs duty for manufacturing quality goods and services.
 Under the scheme, capital goods imported at zero duty must fulfil EPCG export obligation equivalent to 6 times of duty saved on the capital goods. RR MBI HRS

The firms have not disclosed any financial details of the deal. simsim -- founded by Amit Bagaria, Kunal Suri, and Saurabh Vashishtha in June 2019 -- is an e-commerce platform that helps small businesses transaction to the digital economy using videos and content creation. The company connects local businesses, influencers and customers. “We started simsim with the mission of helping users across India shop online with ease, enabled through small sellers and brands showcasing and selling their products using the power of content by trusted influencers. Being a part of the YouTube and Google ecosystem furthers simsim in its mission,” the company’s co-founders said in a joint statement. simsim will continue to work independently as a separate entity even after the acquisition. YouTube acquires two-year old Indian video commerce startup simsim

Best Buy is having trouble selling televisions. 
The company's consumer electronics segment has faced declining sales for the past 3 years. 
Best Buy's biggest problem is its well-known TV wall, <a href="http://beluscapitaladvisors.com/2014/03/09/truth-best-buys-giant-tv-wall-giant-wall/">writes Brian Sozzi,</a> chief equities strategist at Belus Capital Advisors. 
"It may be time for Best Buy to scrap its famed giant TV wall, replacing the space with eye-catching fixtures that are able to be seen upon store entry and which lure customers into vendor-employed shops that could clearly explain pricing, warranties, and in-home installation," Sozzi writes. 
He shared a few photos that highlight the TV section's biggest problems. 
Sozzi points out that the "Best Buy reward zone" screens could confuse customers, who might think this costs them more money. The old displays, with sound, were more exciting for the customer.
