<a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Flipkart+&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Flipkart </a>may be leading the Indian <keyword id="35621" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="e-commerce">e-commerce</keyword> market but <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Amazon+India+&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Amazon India </a>outperformed <keyword id="6354742" type="COMPANY" weightage="20" keywordseo="Flipkart">Flipkart</keyword> in occupying office space.<br />
<br /> The local unit of <keyword id="18635" type="CITY" weightage="100" keywordseo="Amazon">Amazon</keyword> occupies 3.1 million sq ft of office space in India, which is about four times compared with the 7 lakh sq ft that Flipkart has on rent.<br />
<br />
This is an indication that Amazon is going for aggressive expansion, which entered India in 2013, six years after Flipkart started operations. To be sure, the American company also has services here that cater to its global operations, and that require space.<br />

"We have 7 lakh sq ft in office space excluding our new campus," Flipkart spokesperson, told ET.<br />

Last year, Amazon signed a 1 million sq ft office deal in Bengaluru, which people in the know said took the total office space it occupies to 3.1million sq ft. Flipkart - which in 2014 signed the largest office transaction by an e-commerce firm, for a 2 million sq ft campus - is in the process of surrendering half of it, even as it looks to cut cost and reduce losses.<br />
<br /> "Flipkart has decided not to take up 50% of the office space in its new campus in <keyword id="2656852" type="UNKNOWN" weightage="20" keywordseo="Embassy-Tech-Village">Embassy Tech Village</keyword> in <a href="http://www.businessinsider.in/searchresult.cms?query=Bangalore&amp;sortorder=effectivedate">Bangalore</a>. The new campus will be delivered to Flipkart by the end of 2017 or early 2018 and can seat around 14,000 people once completed," a person with knowledge of the matter, told ET.<br />

Once the campus comes up, Flipkart is expected to surrender the rented space.

India’s biggest eCommerce company, <keyword id="6354742" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Flipkart">Flipkart</keyword>, has sealed country’s single largest office space leasing deal at two million square feet custom-built office campus in IT hub Bengaluru.<br />
<br />
The company seeks to expand operations and workforce, which currently occupies five lakh square feet across the city.<br /> Flipkart was initially in talks with the <keyword id="252055" type="COMPANY" weightage="80" keywordseo="Embassy-Group">Embassy Group</keyword> and vying for 3 million sq ft. However, the plan was revised and the deal was signed for 2 million sq ft for 20 years. Flipkart will pay rent at Rs 50 a month per sq ft.<br />

"Two million sq ft of office space seats over 20,000 people," a person involved in the transaction told Economic Times.<br />
Flipkart seeks to move all its operations from various offices to one location.<br />

Currently, its office space includes 106,000 sq ft in Mantri Commercio, 37,674 sq ft in Salarpuria Tech Point and 9,000 sq ft in Brigade Court.<br />

<strong>Flipkart confirmed the transaction, but didn't provide details. Head of Embassy Office Parks, Bhhavesh Kamdar, said the property will be delivered in two phases. “The Phase I comprising 1.5 million sq ft will be handed over in the next two years,” Kamdar told the financial daily.</strong><br />

Meanwhile, Managing Director for South India at JLL, which was Flipkart’s adviser in the deal, Juggy Marwaha said that with the current supply-demand dynamics in Bengaluru, large occupiers who have better visibility of their business would find locking space in advance as the way forward.<br />
<br />
He told ET that Flipkart-Embassy deal was by far the single largest commitment of office space anywhere in the country "as a one-shot take up, without any option spaces reserved".<br />
<br />
The new campus will come up as part of Embassy Tech Village on the Outer Ring Road and will be owned by US private-equity giant Blackstone and Embassy Group.<br />

New Delhi, Mar 29 () Realtors apex body CREDAI's Gujarat chapter has donated Rs 5 crore to Chief Minister Relief Fund to fight against coronavirus infections.<p>CREDAI Gujarat tweeted that it has "donated Rs 5 crore towards Chief Minister Relief Fund to fight against Covid-19".</p><p>The donation was given to Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Saturday in the presence of CREDAI National Chairman Jaxay Shah.</p><p>Sandip Sheth is the Chairman of CREDAI- Gujarat, while Ashish Patel is the President of the association.</p><p>Some individual realtors have also come forward to support the central and state governments as well as migrant labourers and underprivileged.</p><p>DLF Foundation has donated Rs 5 crore to Haryana CM Relief Fund and is also distributing masks, sanitisers, cooked food and dry rations to workers.</p><p>Bengaluru-based Embassy Group has stepped forward to support the city traffic Police.</p><p>"Identifying the zones around Embassy Manyata Business Park, Embassy Tech Village, Embassy Icon and Embassy Paragon, Embassy Group has set up four hydration stations where the police personnel can take refreshing time breaks.The stations are equipped with drinking water, refreshments and toilet stops," Embassy said in a  statement.</p><p>In addition, Embassy Group has procured hand sanitizers, disposable masks and nutritional snacks. These items have been handed over to the Headquarters and will be distributed daily over the next 8 days to the 44 stations and their 3,800-person task force.</p><p>Aditya Virwani, Chief Operating Officer, Embassy Group, said, "With our police and healthcare professionals at the forefront of controlling the spread, felt that it was our duty to support them in performing their duties. I would like to request other companies and Bangalore's citizens to come forward to join us in helping out".</p><p>On behalf of the association, Naredco-Uttar Pradesh President R K Arora has handed over cheque of 10 lakh to district magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar for Covid-19 pandemic relief fund.</p><p>Gurugram-based M3M group, is providing relief materials to 5,000 daily wage workers till the lockdown.</p>Earlier Supertech had said that it has set up a technical expert committee to carry out saitisation work free of cost in various societies as directed by the local authorities. <p><div class="KonaFilter image-container display-table float_right"><div><div class="image on-image"><p class="source"><span>Madeline Stone / Business Insider</span></p></div><p></p></div></div>Billy McFarland wants to help you build the perfect network.</p><p>At just 23 years old, he's the founder of <a href="https://www.magnises.com/">Magnises</a>, an exclusive social club with special events and deals you can only access with their black card. </p><p>The black card can be linked with your bank or credit card for payment purposes, but its main draw is definitely the perks that come along with it.</p><p>By flashing your Magnises card - made of metal, it's heavier than you might expect - you can get discounts at restaurants, bars, or clubs and reserve experiences like private concerts and luxurious getaways. </p><p>"We're building a complete platform that connects millennials with new businesses, online and offline. One thing that everyone carries with them at all times is their debit or credit card," McFarland told Business Insider. "So we tied it to that." </p><p>Restaurants La Esquina and Catch, clubs Finale and Goldbar, and spin studio Cyc are just a few of the New York City businesses who have signed on to partner with Magnises. Members can also get discounts on helicopter trips to the Hamptons with Blade and attend private shows by rappers Rick Ross and Ja Rule. The latter also happens to be working on strategy with the startup. </p><p>Founded just over a year ago, Magnises now has more than 6,000 members paying $250 annually to carry the black card. Prospective members must fill out an online application and be approved by the Magnises team before they can officially join. </p><p>"Ultimately we want someone who wants to be really engaged," McFarland said.  </p><p>It definitely helps your case to work for a company that Magnises would want to work out a partnership deal with. McFarland - who dropped out of Bucknell during his freshman year to start an enterprise company called Spling - wants Magnises to be the professional and social bridge between people who work in completely different fields.</p><p>A member who works for Tesla, for example, recently arranged for 40 Magnises cardholders to take a trip to a New Jersey race track to take some of their employers' cars for a spin. Another member helped coordinate a booze cruise in the New York Harbor. </p><p>"We really want to incorporate these businesses into the Magnises experience, so we look for members who can give back," McFarland said. "But we're really selective about the brands we choose to partner with. We want to build a brand that our members trust." </p><p>The startup recently moved its home base from a West Village townhouse to a penthouse at the Hotel on Rivington on the Lower East Side. Magnises hosts lots of their events here, from late-night DJ sets to more laidback cocktail hours. The startup made headlines earlier this summer when the landlord of Magnises' original party pad - the townouse in the West Village - <a href="http://ny.curbed.com/archives/2015/06/29/credit_card_for_millennials_guy_sued_for_ruining_townhouse.php#more">sued McFarland</a>, alleging that he caused $62,000 worth of damages to the space.</p><p>"We outgrew the space," McFarland says with a shrug when asked about the suit.</p><p>They plan to launch in 10 more cities in the next 12 months, starting with Washington D.C., where they're announcing a partnership with the Embassy Row Hotel.</p><p>Magnises has raised nearly $3 million in funding to date. McFarland says the company is generating enough revenue in membership fees, so they're not looking to raise more anytime soon. </p><p>"The model is really clear to us now," he said.
